On anon because this is kind of embarrassing, but when I feel negative about my writing, it’s usually because I’m comparing myself to professional writers or my fave fics.

It helps me to go and read really REALLY shit fics, especially if they’re kinda popular. And I’m like, look at this absolute trash, someone thought this was good enough not only to write, but also to post, and then some people even loved it?? Show-stopping. Then why can’t *I* write whatever trash I want? Look at them having fun, while I’m here beating myself over nothing.

In any case, I hope you find what works for you! 🌈

Yeah I'm a big reader, I have always been since I was really young so, I probably am deep down comparing myself too hard to fantastic writers without meaning to. A VERY good point. I wonder if I'm more critical after reading a good book. I should pay attention to that...

Hey I’m back to my lengthy drama fic LOL, I’m getting antsy but also excited to finish it. I’ve added an additional 3 chapters, and I expect to finish the story in 2 or 3 chapters following, 30 was my goal and it seems it will be right around that amount of chapters.
