chapter 45 started

I’m back from Comic con and have started the next chapter. My mid volume major plot point is coming and I’m just beefing it up. I also want to have a clear path on where the characters will go once I hit that midpoint as I’ve made alterations to my original draft and need to adjust accordingly. There are also a few things I will address soon: I spent a good deal going over Irene’s new deployment at grands new secret facility. I want to revisit her and just reveal what exactly is actually going on inside, why Irene is there basically. I will rejoin Joy as well to reveal her plans moving forward with Amadopolis as well. For now ch 45 is focusing on where we left off at 44. Wendy investigating Billys search for Seulgi, the girl who attacked them and MAY be the same girl Roadie knows from his childhood.

I finished chapter 44 and it’s published

Quickest turn around I’ve had in awhile. I wasn’t expecting to finish but it just came out. I also decided to publish something before I head to comic con for a week. (I leave tonight!) I’ve been planning on how to get certain characters back involved with each other since they first all came together in ch39. I know it hasn’t been long time or content wise but I knew I wanted it sooner rather than later. (Like maybe 1 more volume and not another 30 chapters) much of my chapter 40 and 41 dilemmas were attributed to that. I wanted to set a premise and didn’t want to write myself into a corner. Ideas I think fit initially don’t always work and connect once I started fleshing out dialogue and interactions. In chapter 44 for example, the conclusion with Billy and Wendy wasn’t the original plan. She was going to just find the picture Billy had and then pursue Billy because he was already gone. I realized that would lead to too much down the road and decided to go a different route. I will resume chapter 45 when I get home. (I come back into town Tuesday, in a week.)

ch44 already started

I got to work on ch44 this morning. It picks up following the odd encounter Seulgi had with the mysterious stranger watching her in the parking lot… it’s the starting point that will put some other characters on a new course of action… I’ll update on my progress as I continue.

ch43 update another one!

as I was writing I realized in order for this Joy segment I’m working on to work, I need to have a bit of time pass. I don’t like advancing time too much in one characters arc/chapter then going to another chapter and having the assumption the same time had passed for all the characters. That’s why I try to keep things chronological but the downside is sometimes I have to jump around too much and that was an issue I just dealt with 2 chapters ago. So I’m at the ‘time jump’ in Joys part and am currently writing all the thing happening during joys part, time skip included. There is a Seulgi portion and some Wendy content I think works well. Seulgis part will show how Crush’s passing Impacted the resistance he was part of and I’m trying to see if I can have the collector involved. Seulgi had a pretty intense showdown with his men back in chapter 20something, when she prevented them from getting the prototype scanner. Wendy’s is just a brief follow up to the last look into the group. I might involve the collector in that too as I haven’t really explored that plot line in a minute. The collector has tasked Billy with finding an elementian for him afterall. So I’m going over all options to see how I can make it all play out and twine it together.

43(actual) progress

so, I wanted to write something about Joy and Jaes past together. It’s something I wanted to explore before Joy met crush, to put some weight on her character. However, I never found an opportunity to bring it up organically and then decided Joy was always brushing Jae off and never openly dwelled on the relationship. She acted as though she moved on and having her have ‘2nd thoughts’ about Jae while meeting crush just didn’t make sense so I guess it worked in that way. Joys character however is a bit complex in that she is very bold and unapologetically herself, but also, keeps a lot inside. She may act like she has moved on completely from Jae but maybe there is something still there. Maybe her feelings for Crush which, were real and albeit still developing, had some impact on her buried feelings for Jae. Now that Joy is back in ICC and feeling hurt over the loss of crush she has a change of heart and wants to hurt amadopolis. She struggles to do it systematically and wants immediate retribution. I took this dilemma she’s facing thought it would be great to get a little glimpse of her past with Jae since she’s collaborating with him to bring down Amadopolis. with that said I hope you all had a very happy,and safe 4th of July and I’ll update again soon.

Progress and just updates in general.

so, is anyone else going to see le sserafim in las vegas this September? If so, I’ll see you there. I won’t bore you with stories of how I got blocked from the very front row because AXS has a terrible website and am now way in section 2 flooring. The important thing is I’m going to see them, period. I’m super excited and haven’t been to a K-pop concert since bts in New Jersey and red velvet in Miami Beach. I really would like to see Aespu and Itzy someday as well. I love the new itzy concept since we are on them as a subject. Like a few of their concepts before, the vibe really fits well with my RV fanfics setting. The itch I got to include itzy in the fanfic back when Not Shy came out never truly went away, and now it’s like really itching again. You think I should rewrite it and replace RV members with itzy members? Lmao. Nah I’m kidding. Maybe I can throw in an itzy cameo or something. Maybe lasurfum and aespu too, If it presents itself in a cohesive way. I’m not going out of my way to make it happen. chapter 43 (actual) is in progress. I’ve started the chapter touching back in with Joy. I may also touch in with Seulgi at the other half of the chapter depending on how far this Joy content goes. We need to see how Joy decides to respond to losing Crush. I haven’t been happy with how I’ve written it honestly. It’s just … lacking a bit. And part of that is because I haven’t focused on her enough since. Now’s the time! No more jumping around without proper planning.

chapter 43 (which is actually the new 42 but havent made the change official yet) is published

it took a little longer than i planned, but that always seems to be the case with me. moving forward i want to re-evaluate my overall arc for the volume and see which characters i should check in with first. i had a few ideas for seulgi in mind and id like to do one for joy as well. so new and actual 43 will be one, 44 will be the other and 45 might be the 'mid volume' major plot event. it wont be any earlier than that for sure but it could happen at 46 depending on how i approach it all. i have to fit irene in there as well and while i dont think i need an entire chapter and can fit her bits into seulgis if needed. enjoy the chapter, and when i start the next chapter i will update about it.

Haven't updated in awhile

But rest assured I've been writing. Chapter 43 (that will be converted to ch 42) is very close to completion. After coming into the new volume very unprepared with no proper planning thinking I had it all worked out, I had to sit and really think about my mistakes and flesh out storylines where I was lacking. Like aside from big plot points, nothing was as clear as I thought. I know. I'm an idiot. Since Yeri, Wendy and the gang have unofficially become the "main' plotline I needed to once again piece together how all the other characters are progressing. Not that I had no plans to, just for whatever reason, I didn't realize I needed it this soon. I honestly don't have an excuse. I just realized chronology is very important right now and since all characters have finally come together we should be checking in with all of them a bit more regularly. Or try to. Lol. So ch 43 is very important because we are finally getting a glimpse of Irene's personal life. I will try to develop that and her motivations as this volume progresses. It's also setting up a new location as I may have said before. I am planning a Seulgi chapter and a joy chapter but still keeping focus on 43 for now. when it's published I will publish it as 43, but put 42 in parentheses to address the chapter revision to fix my horrid chapter 41s and original 42 that I will combine into 1 chapter. I hope to publish it by Friday.

chapter 43 progress

ive been working on chapter 43 and ive decided to open up and explore Irenes character a bit more. out of the red velvet members, she is the only one i havent really talked too much about before the story takes place. we obviously started the story with Yeri and got a look at her life inside chroma. We know wendy and her family and then got to see Joys life and recently took a little trip down backstory lane to see Seulgis story. i felt bad Irene never got one and honestly didnt see how i was going to inlude it. i briefly touched on her life before the story with tidbits here and there but this chapter opened up a chance to actually write about it. it will also set up a new location where i plan to visit again in future chapters. how many chapters remains uncertain. ive also decided to for the first time revise chapter layout. i am going to combine chapters 41 and 42. meaning chapter 43 will be the new chapter 42. i dont know when but it will happen.

chapter 42 published post...post

after post. post post. ha. anyway. after a rather confusing and scatterbrained ch41, i did my best to give some direction to the story in 42. i mean i wrote a bit about Joy and her intention in 41 but after that i found myself...floundering. its because the volume arc i was working toward wasnt going to need 10 chapters to set up. for any of the characters arcs. so, my original finale arc is now the mid volume plot focus. where i end the volume now is not quite certain but i will work that out. chapter 42 we are diving back into yeri and the crew. i had to rework some of my idea which took me a little longer to post but i needed to rework it as my original idea had too many holes in the scenario. chapter 43 is already started. it is opening up focusing on Irene after her decision to head back to her station at Grand territory and i will try to give more details about Grands motives moving forward. as of right now Seulgis arc has her curious about her old friend Jess, whom roadie resembles so she decided to track him down in hopes it is him and hed be willing to help her get answers for her lost brother sam. now tbh i havent even worked out how im going to go about that. im focusing on irenes storyline first. Joy is back in ICC still upset at the loss of crush and with new determination, going to try and bring down Amadopolis. we will visit her again and that will also be a key part of the overall volume. i will get back to work on 43 and keep u posted on progress. thank you

Important update.

So, while writing yesterday i came to a realization... That there may be a better scenario than the one I'm writing. While the current draft works, it doesn't feel as natural. The new idea fits better. There is one convo In the current draft I really want to stay but it's harder to keep if I totally revise the end segment. I'm going to revise the last part anyways, I know it's late and I promised to publish this week. Sorry for the last minute change.

its gonna be MAY & im working on chapter 42

jokes on me its already may. chapter 42 is coming along i was thinking about just scrapping my terrible chapter 41 and just combine it with what i have for 42... and thus have a REVISED 41 but.. im not sure. if not add it all, i do have a tidbit in chapter 42 that kind of cuts away to irene and seulgi and is more follow up to their plans after their loss. since i made adjustments i felt i had to add it in now. i could just add that to chapter 41. like focus on their decision making a bit. its not a huge addition by any means so thats why im still like why even bother. ill leave it where i have it for now. i want to try to finish and publish 42 by the end of next week. so im going to aim for that.

ch 42 progress and things

hello readers, i hope you all had a nice easter weekend. so as i find myself writing chapter 42 it has occured to me why i was having so much trouble writing ch 41. i never really thought about where i was going to start the next volume and didnt really fully plan out each characters next arc. i had a key plot point i was intending to make the next finale and figured i had enough of an idea to get there and... i was wrong. i also really flubbed up some details i wanted to address and totally forgot to. i mean they arent completely story ruining obviously but they are questions i thought id address because as a reader and as a character in story id naturally ask these questions. anyways because i dont want to spend weeks thinking of content that will seem like filler (not that my story or chapters are all that long) im just going to shift and make the finale plot point a mid volume point. filler aside it would also save me from having the RV characters not be appearing as much. after the finale where they were all finally in the same place i felt it would be dumb to separate them all again and then have them have no real contributions to the plot for almost 2 volumes. it was just really poor planning on my part. ideas that seemed good at first but then when i was actually really looking into it.. just wouldnt work. so, im going to condense to move forward. i truly apologize for the lack of preparation on my part.

Chapter 41is published

Apologies as it is a very short chapter but it was taking me too long to decide where to go next .. and I figured I'd just start fresh with chapter 42. Not a very good start to the new volume I know but it is what it is. I think I was trying too hard to follow up with all the characters instead of focusing on one idk .. anyways I'll start 42 and get my act together.

Update

Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm still working on chapter 41. I also wanted to vent a little about the news about yeri and Wendy not signing contracts with SM. I was saddened... But hopeful. They will still promote as red velvet just not exclusively.. it's just signs the times are changing. Red velvet was the only group that I followed after all my previous gen groups ended. RV kept my interest in Kpop and helped me find itzy, aespa and lasurfum. They became just as important to me as SNSD and I will support them all no matter where they decide to take their careers.
