Tiberius straightened from admiring the broom, his eyebrow arched when the other wizard went on about the broom as if he was reading straight from a brochure. It was truly impressive. Then again, he recognized the man as the quidditch player that he was. Of course the man would know his brooms. “Sure you’re not a broom salesman?” He joked, looking between him and the broom once more. “This thing ought to be in a museum, not sitting in a shop where anyone could get their hands on it.” The again he doubted anyone but those who appreciated the broom would bother with it or know the significance.
“Plan on taking it home with you?” He mused. “Reckon it wouldn’t be good on the field anymore but it is a beauty.”
Sethos paused, eyes narrowing slightly as he tried to put a name to the face. Nothing came. London had never truly felt like home, until now, maybe. “It is,” he said, though his attention had already shifted. His gaze drifted to the broom nearby, and he stepped closer, curiosity sparked.
He studied it with a practiced eye. “That’s an old model… looks like a Starfire Mark II, if I’m not mistaken. Mid-40s, maybe earlier. Pre-Comet era, definitely before Cleansweeps took off.” He crouched slightly, fingers hovering just above the worn handle. “They were built more for endurance than speed. Handcrafted bristle binding, no automatic stabilizer charms, just pure balance and a good sense of direction. Bit stiff on corners, but solid fliers in their day.”
There was a quiet fondness in his voice, a glimmer of respect. Magical brooms had always intrigued him, not just for their function, but for their history.

Tiberius made a noise at her simple statement, plenty more harsh words at the tip of his tongue. Though he held them in, doing his best to maintain some semblance of control over a temper. A temper that when it came to Cressida, he always struggled to keep in check. He would go to any end to protect her, and the idea that people had said nasty things about her or thought less of her because she had chosen to marry him only fueled that anger. "Oh I'm sure it is amusing to you. I'm sure you find all of this hilarious."
"I'm sure you are more than aware that any confrontation with the Malfoys would end badly. But again, perhaps that's what you're hoping for." As tempting as the idea was, he knew it would go badly and likely it would only result in Cressida being upset with him for whatever resulted. He shook his head at her words, teeth clenching. "Spoken like a pureblood who believes they're above the rest Rita." It didn't bother him, he'd long ago stop being bothered by those who shared her way of thinking. He shook his head at her question. Sure he could think of plenty more things to say, but he knew he was better off keeping his mouth shut. "Oh I have plenty of opinions but I think I'll keep the rest to myself. I'd say it was a pleasure Rita but we'd both know that's a lie."

“I don’t recall ever being like this!” A joke, his parents swore he’d been a menace from a young age. Always on the go and keeping them on their toes. “Merlin I’d kill for even a small amount of that energy. You could bottle and sell it for loads I imagine.” He chuckled. “Feels almost odd now to have the house so silent.”
“Heart stealer yes.” Tiberius agreed with a charming smile. “But a terror from a young age also.” He reminded her. “Be careful what you wish for love.” He paused, considering her question and what it may look like. “Chaos, sleepless nights.” He joked, sliding his hand into hers and twining their fingers. “But also very happy, right.” He shrugged. “I’ve never put too much thought into the specifics, only that when it happens we’d figure it out together.”
"I think that's just children in general? I mean, at that age you don't worry about sleep or getting a drink or anything, do you? We had to remind her to slow down for a bit and take a drink earlier in the night." But Tib was definitely right about one thing; it was taking a lot of energy of them. It made Cressida wonder; would it take as much energy when it were your own children? Because she always had the feeling that it was a lot easier to accept things of something of your own.
A smile was plastered on her lips as Tib kissed her and then she chuckled. "I think I would be okay with a mini you as well. Just imagine how he is going to be a heart stealer when older," Cress teased her husband. No matter the gender, she just knew that becoming a mother was what she wanted more than anything in life. "What do you think about when we will be parents? What do you imagine in that way?"

Tiberius nodded. “Becoming difficult to do in these times, yea?” It didn’t help that with the files that came across his desk, he was seeing some of the worst of it. He tried to remain optimistic, especially for Cress. “But I know everyone is determined to still looking, something will turn up sooner or later.” He snorted. “Oh I wouldn’t go that far mate, let’s recall some of the decisions I made while at school.” Dumb didn’t begin to cover it. “Smart move, work with the slow charm and she won’t be able to stay away.” He joked with a wink. “I’m happy for you though, that she said yes. Hopefully one date is all it takes for her to fall madly in love with you.”
"There is no harm in staying hopeful, giving up is the easy option, of course." He didn't want to say logical although it was to him, he knew that if it was Fabian or Molly missing he would never give up looking. He chuckled. "You always were a smart guy." He was glad that Tib seemed happy, he deserved it. "I'll let you know how it goes. I am not, while I want to woo her i do not plan on scaring her away for coming on too strong."

Tiberius nodded, a smile on his lips as he slid onto the seat beside her. He took a drink of the beer, setting the glass aside once more as he focused his attention on the witch in front of him. “I’ve been good. Reckon you wouldn’t, these days if I’m not at work I’m at home with the wife. I’m afraid to inform you as a married man I’ve grown rather boring.” He joked, a chuckle falling from his lips. “What about you? Tell me your life has been far more exciting so I can live vicariously through you.”
A warm smile grew on her lips, she was content with her small celebration celebration, welcoming all and any who'd like to join in. It was best this way to keep things on the fun side rather to let herself be consumed by the weighing thoughts and most terrible feelings. "That sounds lovely." Marlene agreed, clearing out the seat beside her so the wizard could join. "How have you been, Tib? Haven't seen you much around lately."

It had been a long day at the Ministry. He could have gone home, but knowing that Cress would be at work for a few more hours, he thought it the perfect opportunity to stop and have a drink to wind down before he headed home. He headed up to the bar, his eyes going to Marlene as she yelled, a chuckle falling from his lips. He sidled up beside her, an amused smile on his lips as he took the drink. "How about this round on me in that case?" He lifted his glass to toast it against hers. "Happy Birthday."
where: the three broomsticks who: open to all
The bar was already buzzing, the air thick with the scent of butterbeer and something stronger. Marlene was perched on a stool, a glass of firewhisky in hand, her laughter echoing across the pub. Her blonde hair shone under the warm light and her blue eyes sparkled with mischief. "Another round!" she yelled, waving her glass. "To me! It's my birthday!" She threw her head back, the sound bright and carefree. "Twenty three, wait. It's actually twenty four." The witch said as she raised three fingers up, then four, a smile on her lips as she passed a full glass of firewhisky to the person beside her.

Tiberius had gone to Diagon Alley to pick up some items that were needed at home, hoping to get his tasks finished before Cressida got home from work. When he found himself with additional time after getting everything else, he couldn't help himself as he stepped into the broom shop. He certainly didn't need one, however if he and Anthony were to start a league it would be necessary to get a broom. Not to mention these would be more affordable than the new models.
He studied each broom he came across, debating which would be the best option. He spotted the vintage broom and let out a low whistle as he reached for it. He paused as the man next to him spoke and he chuckled, nodding. "It is a gorgeous broom. Perhaps too nice to even ride."
where: 2nd Hand Brooms - Diagon Alley who: open
Sethos had a long-standing obsession with brooms, partly from his days as a Quidditch player, but mostly because he found something endlessly fascinating in their craftsmanship and the history woven into each handle and bristle. Whenever he had a spare moment, he wandered into secondhand shops, always on the lookout for hidden gems.
Today was no different. His fingers stretched out toward a vintage broom, just as someone else reached for it, their hands nearly brushing. “It seems we both have excellent taste,” he said with a wry smile, turning to see who had beaten him to it by a second.

"I think everyone's hopeful that we'll find him soon enough, or that he'll reemerge. But the more time that goes on the less likely it starts to become." He hated to think that way, but surely they would have found otherwise. While he may not have been involved, he was aware that everyone seemed to be looking for him, it didn't bode well that there were zero clues. He chuckled. "Don't I know it, I think I've begun to understand the phrase happy wife happy life." He joked. "Mate she'll love it, I'm sure the two of you will have a great time. And I expect a full report back afterwards. You bringing her anything? Flowers? Going full romantic?"
"I highly doubt that he has disappeared completely. He will be found soon-unless he ran off to another country." It was a possibility of course, there was no real way for them to know apart from following the clues left. If the aurors hadn't found anything- that meant something too. That in itself was a sign that something went wrong. At least that's what he believed. "Women tend to be the smarter gender." He conceded with a chuckle. "She has. Thanks man, I'm excited too. Taking her to this Italian place in muggle London, it has great reviews. Good food without being over the top fancy, I don't want to be trying to hard, I just want us to have a good time."

Tiberius settled onto the couch beside Cressida with a groan. He'd always thought he had all the energy in the world, but it would seem Nymphadora had bested him. He didn't know how one kid could simply have so much energy, it was like she just kept going. Still he was glad they had agreed to do this for Andromeda and Ted, he was sure they needed a night to enjoy themselves. Besides, it gave him and Cressida a chance at seeing how they fared. He chuckled at her question and turned to look at Dora, watching as her hair transformed colors right before his eyes. "She is, although I would like to know how she has so much energy. I'm ready to sleep and I've only been chasing after her." He chuckled.
His expression softened, his attention returning to Cressida and he smiled. "Yea? You'd be a great mom." He leaned in and kissed her once briefly. "Besides, I think I like the idea of a little you running around. Merlin help us if we end up with a mini version of me." He chuckled.
Starter for: @tiberiusxmclaggen Location: Andie & Ted's home
When Cressida had offered to Andromeda to look after Nymphadora for a night, so the two of them could have some time to themselves, she had not expected to get the question to do so, so quickly. But Cress had happily said yes. So that was the reason why Tib and her were now seated on the couch at the Tonks' household, as they watched how Nymphadora was playing with some toys before they would take her to bed for the night.
"She's so precious, isn't she?" Cress said with a bright smile on her face as her gaze is set on the child in front of them. She then looked up to her husband. "I would love for us to have children in the future."

Tiberius truthfully had come to terms with how many of the purebloods saw him a long time ago. He'd learned from the time he was in school and had learned to have thick skin. Besides he'd always been taught to believe it was what a person did and their choices that determined a person. He chuckled at her words, shaking his head in amusement. "Well then I believe they can join the club, I do believe there's many of them who don't approve of that particular decision." He grinned, lifting his glass to take another swig. "Meanwhile I'm pretty damn smug about it. I got the girl I love at the end of the day."

Rita had to admit – to herself, but never ever out loud – that Tiberius McLaggen had her down better than most. He just lacked the creativity to figure out how simply because she knew not a soul knew of her little secret. Well, there were some but even those were sworn to secrecy. “I do my job, and I do it well.” Part of the reason so many people believed her stories was because they held truth, parts, pieces that made it matter and fit, the puzzle pieces that would make anyone fall over and trip over their own feet. It was what made her so dangerous. No flourishing needed, really. “As for that little idea of yours that I gossip, that is a rather amusing thought.”
The witch took a step toward him. “Honestly, you not confronting them leaves so many more options for this to turn into something fun.” Her head moved, angling to the side as she observed him. Did he really think she was going to enjoy him going up in a blaze of glory just because he felt his silly chivalry was best used offending the Malfoys any further than he already had. “Or perhaps they deserved better. We will never know.” Rita turned around, taking a few steps away from before glancing over her shoulder at him once again. “Anything else you’d like to add? You seem to be having opinions on a lot of things. Funny, I could have sworn having an opinion or two too many was precisely what you accused me of not too long ago. Or perhaps I got that wrong, too? Since you’d know best.” The blonde was more than happy to leave it at that, unless he was willing to keep challenging her. - @tiberiusxmclaggen

Tib snorted, rolling his eyes at the comment even as he shook his head. "Get in line? Absolutely not, I should be top of the line and you bloody well better remember that." His voice gave mock offense, though the amused smile on his lips said otherwise. He snorted, giving his friend a droll look. "Mate, not one could forget your poses. Much as I wish I could." He couldn't help but mock his friend on occasion, after all someone had to know his ego on occasion. And he always meant well.
He was sure his features softened at the way his friend informed him that she was too good for him. It was clear that he was really into the girl, and he was happy for his best friend. "If she's smart she wouldn't let anything ruin it anyway." He assured him. He stood, nodding. "I better head home anyway, I think I'm going to attempt to help Cressida with dinner. Merlin help her." He joked. "Send me some dates, we'll pick a night." He assured his friend as he headed off the pitch.

"Well, Tiberius if that happens, you'll just have to get in line." Anthony retorted, smug at the concept of him still having fans. Sure, the radio show had consistent listeners but the man doubted he still had such a dedicated fanbase. At the mention of not putting his face on the front of the flyer, Anthony shrugged. "Well that is up to you, but I hope you don't forget my striking poses for the Ballycastle Bats announcements."
As Tiberius agreed to play nice, it took Anthony all of his power not to release an outward sign of relief. "I'm glad to hear it mate, she's far too good for me, and we're at the stage where I don't want anything to ruin that." Anthony remarked with a laugh, glancing at his watch, "It's probably time that I practice before the show starts tonight," He pointed out, "but I'll owl you...with a date that works, yeah?"

Tiberius shook his head at the question, a sigh falling from his lips. "Nothing on that front. Not that I would be the first to know, the Aurors are the ones looking into it. But from what I've gathered they've come up empty handed. It's as though he's disappeared out of thin air." Which simply wasn't possible, something had to have happened, the question was what. There were too many variables at play, too many wishing to be the ones who discovered his whereabouts. He chuckled and nodded. "I think so too, Cressida tends to be the logical one between us, I need her voice of reason more often than not." His smile grew at his friends admission, clapping him on the back. "She's finally said yes? Congratulations mate, I'm thrilled for you! What do you have planned?"
Their friendship was an easy one, both of them getting along without much effort required. They had a friendship for years, one that hadn't been damaged by him going off and getting married. He thought marriage suited Tib, with so much ugliness in the world he was glad his friend was happy. "No updates on that yet, I am assuming?" Otherwise he knew he would've heard something, there were rumors going through the department of course, but no certainty. "Married life suits you." There was a calmness there that hadn't been before. "I've asked Amelia out, tomorrow night. She said yes."

"Excellent idea. Though Merlin help me if I get stuck playing quidditch with a load of your fans just hoping for a chance to play with or against you. I'm not sure your ego needs it." He was mostly joking, though he wouldn't be surprised if a few of his friends' fans did show up for a chance. He snorted. "Oh I think we can get away without putting your face all over them this time. After all this isn't speed dating, we'll throw a quaffle or a snitch on the front of it or something. It'll be grand." He assured his friend with a grin.
Tiberius opened his mouth, about to argue that he was sure he'd shared all of his outlandish stories with Cress. However the moment he thought on it, he could recall a few rather unsavory stories that were better left in the dark. "Alright fine, I'll play nice as long as you do. Nothing too mortifying." He assured him with a chuckle. "Excellent, I look forward to meeting her. And giving her the best friend speech, make sure she's good enough for you." He clapped him on the back.
"I reckon I could put out some word of it on the network too," Anthony shrugged, where better to spread the word of an amateur quidditch league than to a collection of fans who listened to the evening commentary. It seemed odd, how Hogwarts and other wizarding schools built up a sense of camaraderie around the sport only for your talents or skills at the game to go completely neglected upon graduation, especially if you weren't considered good enough to go professional. "You have a knack for fliers, but this time, can we avoid having anybody's face on them?" Anthony laughed, leaning back to glance at the pitch. His leg was doing better, there was still the occasional tremor or seize of pain, but mostly Anthony done his best to ignore the pain.
"Two can play at that game," Anthony remarked, slightly smug. "Although, while I'm sure Cressida already knows many of your embarrassing Hogwarts moments, I'm sure there are a few which you'd prefer to keep to yourself." Of course, said moments were nothing but innocent. However, being two teenagers, there were some awkward moments that the two friends shared from Hogwarts that he was sure Cressida & Mira did not need to know. "Brilliant, I'll mention it to Mira and we can get something organised."

The witch lifted an eyebrow at his words, playfully for sure but taking to the feigned offense. The absolute truth was that her grandparents approved of so many people, she'd began to wonder how they put up with her at all. Her blood status made her lesser in their eyes, much as they intended to pretend she was something else entirely. The blonde shook her head as her expression turned serious for a moment. "I definitely don't think they would, especially considering you've helped disgrace the witch you call your wife" Her tone turning jokingly, Charity allowed a smirk at last.

Tiberius liked the idea of being able to get back up into the air and play some quidditch. His broom more often than not sat neglected at his place, rarely having the opportunity to fly or play. No doubt there would be others who'd be interested in playing, and it would be good to have something to look forward to. Something to enjoy and take their minds off the chaos of current events that left a cloud hanging over so many heads. Not to mention that it would be good to see Anthony get back in the air and play, he knew that his friend missed it. He chuckled and nodded. "I think it's an excellent idea, we can make up some fliers and spread the word. We both know how good I am at making fliers." He smirked, slapping his friend on the back. "I can spread the word to some of the lads at the Ministry, I"m sure there'd be others there who'd love to play."
He chuckled at Anthony's words, an unabashed grin on his lips. "Now what kind of friend would I be if I didn't share some of your worst moments with her? Or share some of your more mortifying photos from Hogwarts days?" He was teasing of course, he had no intention of doing anything but talking up his friend. That and making sure that this Mira girl wasn't about to break his friends heart. "Nonsense mate, you're a catch. I'm glad someone finally saw that." He grinned. "Date night it is then, I'll try my best to be on good behavior."
Anthony was happy for Tiberius and Cressida, having witnessed his friend over the years, it was undoubted that the pair brought out the best in each other and after all the hurdles they had overcome, Anthony knew they were strong in the face of everything. Something that was needed, especially in such a tumultuous time. War brought out the worst in people, having that support system needed to be constant. More recently, Anthony had begun to feel more comfortable with his own support system. And that included the man who stood next to him. A thrill of exhilaration sped through Anthony as Tiberius agreed to getting a league together, "I think people would sign up," He nodded, "Bragging rights and a bit of competitive spirit seems to bring everyone together."
"Funnily enough, I may be more scared of what you tell her about me." Anthony explained, "it may come as a surprise to you for me to admit it, but Mira is a great deal far too good for me, I'm still waiting on the day that she comes to that realisation on her own. She definitely doesn't need to hear one of our detention stories."
"A date night," Anthony smiled, laughing every so slightly. "We could get that organised, definitely."
