So, hear me out, Deku has always been following Bakugou around just wanting to be close. And Bakugou has always been pushing and pushing and pushing- His pride got the best out of him.

After Bakugou tells Deku to fight him in Ground beta, we all see the pain in Deku's face. The baby just wants to get closer to him again.

"I'm giving all I can But all you ever do is mess it up" thoughts of Deku about Bakugou, "Yeah, I'm right here I'm trying to make it clear That getting half of you, just ain't enough"

DEKU IS TRYING, HAS ALWAYS BEEN.

There is this one part of the song ("I'm not going to try 'til you decide You're ready to swallow all your pride") THAT I JUST KNOW HE WOULD NEVER SAY TO BAKUGOU. He just can't say that to him- Because deep down, he knows it's just not pride but something deeper- Fear maybe? He can't think of that either, Katsuki is the epitome of bravery and success for Deku after all.

But then, at the end, Deku will cry (of course), hands fisting Bakugou's tank top and whisper: "I wanna give you everything I wanna give you everything, oh"

Because even if Bakugou pushes, Deku would never stop pulling. Becuase before All Might, the first symbol that Deku has ever had (and followed) was Bakugou.

To sum up, I am a mess right now and I just want for bakugou to wake up and Deku to get a hug.
