i really want to know what is up with seth. is he just plain bad or does he have a plan. does he have a thing against just lucy or just tim or does he just had everyone or maybe chenford combined. i assume if he is there to do something to someone in the station he has a master plan since he got through the police academy.

THE ROOKIE S7 EP8 SPOILERS DONT LOOK

tim is the first one to pass out, his head slumping onto lucy’s shoulder as he lets out a breathless laugh at something she said. lucy rests her head on his knowing she’s not far behind. she also knows help is on its way by the sound of the quickly approaching helicopter.

they’re found wrapped around each other leaning against a rock. their breathing shallow and their hearts quick. they almost look like they’re sleeping.

kojo in my detective lucy and scarred tim au (desperately need a name for this) is a failed bomb detection dog. well he didn’t necessarily fail his trainers just realised that his love for people would make him much better at a different role.

being a service dog. kojo is trained in service dog tasks related to ptsd and mobility. he also has defensive training.

this is how they met!

tim was with his service dog, kojo a failed bomb detection dog, when they pass a bin and kojo immediately falls into a sit that tim saw a lot of when he was still in the army. there was a bomb in the bin.

he immediately calls 911 and tries to explain to the dispatcher that yes kojo was a failed detection dog but that didn’t mean he didn’t have the training still there. tim had never seen kojo alert to something like this before so he knew kojo wasn’t just doing it for a treat or something.

eventually the police arrived and it’s lucy and aaron. when lucy and tim make eye contact they both felt something. and that’s how it’s starts.

they keep bumping into each other at random places and eventually get to knew each other pretty well when tim finally asks her out.

au where lucy is a detective and tim was discharged from the army due to an injury from an explosion that left him disabled in some way.

the rest of mid wilshire is the same and everyone knows lucy is dating someone but they don’t know who he is.

until

“this is dispatch we have a report of a home invasion at 52 sunshine ave”

angela doesn’t think much of the call as nolan responds but she hears lucy gasp.

“that’s my house! dispatch attach us to that call as well!”

the sirens go on and they race to the house. angela looks over at lucy, she’s muttering to herself.

“please be ok please be ok please be ok”

she knows that tamara lives with lucy but tamara is away at college right now so who could she be so worried about—oh the mystery boyfriend. they don’t know much about him, only his name. tim, no last name and barely any details about him. angela had begun to believe maybe she made him up in order to stop people asking about her love life but right now he feels real as ever.

when they finally pull up, there’s an ambulance and nolan’s shop already there. lucy barely puts the car in park before she leaps out and bolts towards the man sitting in the back of the ambulance.

“tim! baby!” the man looks up and instinctively opens his arms for the detective. angela walks towards them but gives them space. she observes.

the man, tim, isn’t much older than angela herself. he’s wearing what must be his pyjamas, a loose shirt and a pair of shorts. he also has a gash on his head but the most striking thing about his is the scaring. he has angry scars that travel around his right leg up to and around his right arm and peak out of the collar of his shirt.

“i’m fine i promise,” she hears him say as he hugs her tight. lucy wiggles her way out of the embrace and puts a hand on her hip.

“uh huh and what’s that?” she asks pointing to the gash on his head. tim looks down sheepishly.

“uh..that’s from when the bathroom door hit me after he kicked it down..” lucy lets out an annoyed huff.

angela decides their alone time is up and approaches.

“detective chen, are you going to introduce me to the missus?” she jokes. lucy doesn’t the introductions.

“uh huh and mr bradford have you given your statement yet?”

“no ma’am—“ “great i’ll take it then. tell me what happened mr bradford?”

tim goes on to explain that he was sleeping in when he heard a crash. he knew it couldn’t be their dog since his sister had already come and taken him. he heard voices and heard the intruder mention lucy by name so he hid in the bathroom until one of the guys kicked down the door hitting him in the process but they fled when they heard the sirens.

lucy wraps a protective arm around tim as he speaks. the way she looks at angela tells her that lucy has an idea of who would come after her family like that.

“well sir it looks like you’ll be coming back to the station with us,”

in my head i feel like tim bradford hates vomiting and well, no one likes vomiting my tim hates it.

he’ll gaslight himself into believing he’s not gonna vomit, that he doesn’t even feel nauseous. and for a few hours it works until he’s been in the shop too long or someone else throws up for whatever reason or it’s time to eat something. he’ll do everything in his power to not vomit.

unfortunately for him after everything that happened in season 6, with all his trauma coming back to bite him, his anxiety starts to manifest a fun little physical symptom of nausea.

nightmares? he’s waking up vomiting before he can even process what’s happening.

panic attacks? he’s sitting with his head in between his knees desperately trying to calm down but the nausea isn’t helping the panic.

he never understood how people said that guilt and anxiety made them sick to their stomachs but now he does.

desperately need someone to write a fic where tim’s head injury from 7x07 is worst that it is in the show.

like when he goes to handcuff mickey he starts to feel dizzy and sick. he leans against the couch and puts all his focus on not puking everywhere.

nolan is already concerned about the guy considering he just had a gun to his back and casual mentioned that his wellbeing didn’t matter as much as putting these assholes where they belonged. he watched as tim settles himself shakily against the couch and closes his eyes.

tim doesn’t even fuss when they load him into the ambulance.
