The Maze Runner Trilogy
NOTE: This review is for the main three books only
Author: James Dashner
Genre: Dystopia, Fantasy, Sci-Fi
Strong Points: Nice setting and world-building. Description isn’t too overboard so it all stays interesting.
Weak Points: Pretentious protagonist. Although he gets better as the books continue, I felt that Thomas walked in guns blazing and wanting to prove that he was the best when in actual fact he knew nothing.
Rating: 4/5
Quick Points:
Favourite book: The Scorch Trials - nice world-building and lots of twists
Favourite character: Minho - he’s funny but actually knows his worth and isn’t afraid to speak up
Teresa or Brenda? Teresa and Thomas forever! They are a better ship and it annoys me that they didn’t really become a thing. However, I prefer Brenda’s character and her gung-ho attitude.
What did you think of The Maze Runner and what are you reading?

Defy Me Review
The fifth book in the Shatter Me series which follows a teenage girl as she tries to survive in a dystopian world
Author: Tahereh Mafi
Book number: 5
Genre: fantasy, dystopia, adventure
Strong points: This plot really keeps you on edge! Knowing that all the characters are having similar issues and knowing how close they are to finding each other without them knowing is horrible but amazing to sit through.
Weak points: I felt that there were a couple of characters that could have been fleshed out a little more but I'm being picky because these we background characters really and more may be revealed in the next installment.
Rating: 5/5

The Mortal Instruments
Author: Cassandra Clare
Number of Books: 6
Genre: fantasy, adventure
Rating: 4/5 ( I love this series but it's not my favourite of the Shadowhunter Chronicles which is why there's only four stars)
Strong Points: Amazing series! The plot is lovely, the characters are so likeable and diverse, the adventures are good fun, the world and lore is so well thought out and the ships are amazing!!
Weak Points: To me, book 4 (City of Fallen Angels) feels like a filler book. You probably know what I mean if you read a lot. There just isn't the same energy throughout it as there is with the rest of the series.
Quick facts:
Favourite character: Jace Depends-What-Book-You're-On (that's his last name now)
Least favourite character: Simon Lewis - He gets in the way too much
Favourite book: City of Glass
Favourite ship: Clace
Other books to read: the rest of the Shadowhunters books
Have a mango and enjoy your day! 💙

Everything Everything review
Author: Nicola Yoon
Genre: real-life, romance, medicine
Rating: 4/5
Strong points: nice plot, lots of emotion, good description
Weaker points: lack of character development for some people ( I'm being really picky here because it's all pretty good but I want to hear more about the horrible nurse)
Would I recommend? Yes - to anyone that wants a very real, very sweet book.
What to read next? You'll probably like The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
