Day 3: Puerto Prinsesa, Honda Bay Tour Part I
Yes..yes..YES!!! the beach it is (with wide smile and eyes glimmering)..
On the third day of our tour is another preparation in taking banca ride for today.. our boat ride is literally for Island hopping!
As we begin again from the Inn, to the tour van pick up..and a different tour guide today, we first had a drop by to a shop to where we can rent all the gears we'll be needing if you have not brought any (water shoes, goggles, snorkeling gear, water suit..and of course water pack / case for camera to take under water photos!) rash guards and own water pack would be great especially if you have a not so usual phone and camera. Since all under water phone case are for iPhone (and me and Jay- Ar are using samsung) and digicam pack are for sony and SLRs (I am carrying a Lumix)..we fail to have under water photo *sad. :(
---- we promised to buy water proof camera in the future! *eagerness. And we will never miss chances like this, ever!!! (Okay sweetie move on...)
As we arrived on the port to take the boat ride, alot has to wait and groups of peeps on tour are on queue ..each tour guides following up their boat number on the reception of the Hondbay Port. When we finally had our boat, wore our safe jackets..took some photo.. the first stop is at the middle of the sea for snorkeling (I didn't enjoy it much cause i fear the jelly fishes at all size swimming and floating around the snork-area). Many fishes can be seen, you may pick your spot and swim a lil and slow..feel the calm water and the sun above you..*ahhhh :D Though I have mentioned jellyfishes, these are the no-tentacles jellyfishes, the round white ones..(Gladly no box jellyfish passing by..) Nemo and friends of Nemo are swimming everywhere!
If your bringing a child with you, there are "kuya" who does the assistance for them in riding a doughnut shape floater and hold it with a rope and swim it around the snork-loop.
After 30 mins of stay, we were asked to ride back on our boats and go to our next stop.. the Starfish Island. As we pass by Luli Island, which we might not do land on later, the first island to stop by is to where we will have our lunch (prepared by our tour guide).
We were reminded not to remove our water shoes as it is strictly prohibited on walking bare feet, by chance in the water. But we wished to feel the heat on the sand and walked still, at the sand only. Weird statues are all around the shore of Starfish Island and the humongous frame that every one would love to take photos at! ..including us yes, we fail to get a "together" shot on the frame cause of a lil shyness on our bones to ask some stranger to that for us. :)
We even had a photo shot with Gov. Haggedorn when he visited, and he was asking us if we were newly married couples..*kilig. haha!

Day 2: Second Half Puerto Prinsesa Tour : City Tour and Firefly watching
On later afternoon, after the Underground River Tour , we're brought back at the Ysabelle Mansion to change and get ready for the next tour.
Destination: City Tour. We decided not to take much photo, but just to listen to history and observe and relax.. we didn't purchase much on souvenirs due to we have another destination at the evening. (To avoid too bulky hand carry and chances of leaving the items elsewhere along the tour.)
We have tasted a coffee drink infused with Kasuy (Cashew) which Puerto Prinsesa is proud of, a nut fruit with very delectable scent, and tasty nut once roasted.
At the bay walk, our final stop for the day to where we wait for the boat ride that will lead us to the mangroves : Home of the Fireflies to watch with their glimmering butt - light :D
(sorry, no photos were taken on the Firefly tour due to flash are discouraged, which may distract the insects from their nests.)
After the tour, a dinner awaits us at the middle of the sea (not literally, but we had our dinner near by the Fireflies location). A boat -restaurant that offers a good sea dinner ambiance and delicious foods, you may pay the dinner inclusive of the Firefly tour (roughly around Php 1200).
A pick up on the bay back to the Inn via Tour Vans are waiting to assure that the tiring and exhaustion from a very full but fulfilled day is "No worries".

Day 2: Puerto Prinsesa : We did some stop over.
After the Underground River tour, we passed by this spot from the Amazing Race. They call it as the Karst Mountain where an Elephant's head on the wall of the mountain (at some angle can be visualized, it's hard to capture on not-so-random shots like this.)
Today is fully booked for us, the second half for this Day tour is not yet finished.. ;)

Day 2, Puerto Prinsesa : Underground River Tour Part II
As I have mentioned on the first post, a continuation of the tour at the under ground river, We voluntarily took the front seat and managed to be the "light guide". We hold the battery powered heavy duty flash light and warned not to open our mouths when mesmerized by this wonderful nature art (due to bats live inside the huge long river cave, trust me their safe, just hope that liquid drops you'll experience are from stalactites or rock formations from the ceiling.)
It's quite hard to take pictures inside as strong flashes are discouraged and to keep the memory of these great underground experience only in our "Ohh and Ahh".
And a continues reminder at the back of the little monkey, NO SMOKING at this Island and wondrous nature.
(Photos are no filter, nor edited. Camera used was on an Intelligent setting, Lumix).

Day 2, Puerto Prinsesa : Underground River Tour Part 1. :)
Early the next day we have to wake up at 6am to prepare, have our breakfast inclusive at the lodging reservation and get ready by 8am for the tour pick up.
As our Tour guide, Jake. Who have been so bubbly at the beginning of this tour, he managed to make his head count and introduced himself as the most good looking tour guide at Puerto Prinsesa (which he, himself only claims..lol) arrived at the Inn with other tour mates (tour packages were set and groupings of different tourists has to be maximized as per required number of people).
He brought us to a Pantalan (boat duct) where boat rides were taken going to the Island where the Underground River was located. On the boat ride, a sunny day has welcomed our visit and blue waters are dashing on the sides of our boat, green mountains and huge mountain rocks are visible while taking our turn on the island front.
On our arrival, cool water washes our feet as we walk through the entrance, monkeys are all over and as we are warned to avoid taking pictures of them closely and avoid bringing of Plastic bag (aside the environmental cause to avoid littering is that monkeys likes plastic bags which they thought has food in it and cellphones are what they fancy to play with..they like to grab!)
I love my own monkey who have his solo picture on a nice branch of a tree..(I love you Love!:D)
Giant Lizards (a family of Komodo dragon i believe!) are freely to take pictures with, just not to touch nor to get too close.
A short walk on the island, passing a nature with wonderful trees and baby monkeys which you'll meet along the way to the River's opening. Where We will take another boat ride which will tour us inside the river, hard hats and wearing of our life jackets are still required.
(See photos on Part II post of Underground River Tour).

Our First Day at Puerto Prinsesa.. Our first travel <3
We. As I meant, me and my boyfriend's first summer vacation, first travel together , first day at one of the most wonderful places in the Philippines.
Our hassle earlier were all gone because of the relief that we're finally here..trouble of flight issues are sometimes the most unexpected possible thing that could happen to a well planned vacation.
But our first dinner made it wonderful, to entice our travel and adventure which will began..(as we promise never to take any flight from CebPac ever!)
As we arrive to our lodging, it's almost past 7pm and we fail to make arrangements on the most talked about restaurants at PPS such as Kalui. (reservations has to be made earlier or prior to your tour due to walk in's are not so advisable as their seats are always full!)
We decided to take the advise of our receptionist from Ysabelle Mansion, to take a tricycle ride and tricycle drivers knows suggestively where to go if the first options are full.
The Manong driver brought us to Badjao Seafront Restaurant, Which we believe would be great to see in day time too! the restaurant was like floating due to it's way has cloth lanterns and mangroves are along the pathway, walking through the wood -bridge like path and water are so clear even it was night!
I thought it was creepy at first because of the mangroves and the water was like leg-high underneath the wood bridge, but the sea smell was so inviting and relaxing as we walk close to the restaurant's entrance.
Well lit dinning surprised us and a relaxing music from a live performing pianist and a guitarist..(sweet ambiance it created!)
We ordered a Seafood Platter which is indeed enough for the two of us, mixed seafoods with ensalada out of Lato (Sea weeds) and Tortang Talong (eggplant).
A Happy evening for our palettes and stomach full of delightful dishes!
