Last Spain post, I swear. I think it's time I re-introduce myself on here to all of you new followers. First of all: thank you for being here, thank you for reading, sharing and commenting on my work. For taking it in, interpreting it in your very own way. Thank you for bringing life to it. So, hello stranger, or already friend, its lovely to meet you. My name is Nadine (I know that's confusing) and I'm on my way to have circled the sun 27 times in May next year. I live in Germany with my family of a loving boyfriend and a very attention seeking, sleepy dog (mean that in the most loving way). I have loved writing ever since I was a teenager, but back then it was just silly songs and mainly and on and off occurrence. But ever since I got introduced to @shane_koyczan 's work, I've never really stopped writing. Except for the occasional writer's block which I crochet my way through. I passionately hate knitting,though. eternal wounds of christ like pouring blood onto gloves & socks & undershirts—say

fountain of death of feeling of saying like too often like say girls talking in the bathroom like

word-vomit between vodka-soda-vomit say your worst hangover but like in your heart like

dry mouth & rolling stomach & pounding head trying to punch out of your chest—say

baptismal fonts say i am the body say love for like a chosen family say 3, 4, 5

ibuprofen & nothing helps like crying in bed quiet so you don’t wake up your baby sister like

i never know where i’m going until i get there all like locust-plagues & bleeding beating heart &

stains that don’t come out

we fall asleep to white-noise raindrops & lullabies sung by a storm-drunk sky / you are snoring soft—eyes welling up / saying a prayer for roadkill, just streaks on the highway now / a girl kissing another girl for the first time / my sister trying to figure out why the meat of her heart wants / to love me when every second, every beat hates / my queerness, my leaking heart, my weakness

i can’t fall asleep without something in the background, so the fan is blasting / doing next to nothing against the humidity / but we leave the windows open because / the AC is too expensive & honest / storms are delicious & irresistible

i’m watching the lightning strike like you / r eyes after a run / letting the thunder boom into my lungs / letting your soft snores anoint my shoulders & i dream of your mouth & my sister’s beating chest & roadkill & storm-drunk skies
