my favourite thing is that aaron never denies still being in love with robert. every time robert says, i know you still love me too. aaron just. doesn't respond. and it's not even that aaron is trying to convince himself he's not still in love with him. it's that he KNOWS he is. which is why he's doing all of this. BECAUSE he still loves him. he's not in denial about his feelings. he's like, HYPERAWARE of them. to the point where he literally called the police on robert because he can’t trust himself to be around him. he can’t trust himself to not cheat on the guy he just married. which is CRAAAAAZY. God. like, that's insane. he needs robert to stay away because otherwise it's only a matter of time. it's not a question of if, it's a question of WHEN. like, i just love that instead of going the full denial route, where aaron could have been like, stay away because i don't love you anymore. they went like, the opposite way. stay away because i can't trust myself around you. OBSESSED with that choice. it's so, so good.

"It was a gift, um, they had done such relentless work and I knew that they had just developed this great friendship outside of, because of, the show, and I thought it would be important just to give 'em something, so in the script it just says, it actually switches off in the stage directions from 'Lestat and Louis' to 'Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson' and that 'Jacob Anderson says something to Sam that only he will know, and Sam says something to Jacob that only he will know' and we took the mics off, um, and let 'em run. And we didn't know when to cut, 'cause we're like 'I don't know, when is - they keep talking, I don't know!' just going on, going on, going on, and we actually cut too early on the first take, and then second take they got to do it again uh, it missed a little bit of spontaneity because each other didn't know what the other one was going to say to the other, too, so you're really capturing something very, very raw and personal here. Which I think, um, was... was cool!
