Pelipper Mail! A dream, but not yours.

You’re careful to know what’s inside the crate. You already know, distantly—you’ve double checked and triple checked that clipboard. However, just in case, you flip the lid open.

It’s simply generic equipment. Mostly nets. Mostly tranquilizer. Your stomach tightens.

You work with the crew to unload the ship’s cargo when you reach dock. You’re very careful, very particular, every time you place down a crate. Enough to cause it to be unbalanced, not enough to be noticed. Eventually, right as planned, the first crate comes down, loose lid popping off, and the chaos causes the rest to follow suit. There’s a load groan between the crew as people begin getting to work and putting it all back.

You turn heel and run.

You hear the shout—vaguely, but also loud enough to be right next to your ear. It’s either your name, or “HEY!”, something of that confrontational manner. They chase you, following you down the streets. Their face morphs between the crew, trying to crawl out of the body and scream. You don’t look back, you just clutch the egg tighter.

You know this might risk everything. You knew that going into it. There’s a reason why people are too afraid to unionize. There’s a reason why louder employees get marked off, get thrown into some kind of work accident that’s vague enough to be credited as their own fault instead of the big boss’.

You can’t stop running.

[ Tobias sits up in bed, groggy and annoyed. ]

"What the fuck was that...?" He mutters to himself. He knew that wasn't him in that dream, it couldn't have been.

[ So who's in trouble this time? ]

I get it, anxiety can really ruin someone's day, especially if it's a constant feeling.

Are you sure there's no underlying reason though? Anxiety spiking that high without a source is a concern.

Honestly, today's just been kind of. Bad. I was really anxious all day for no apparent reason and I kind of still am as I'm typing this? It's just no fun, honestly.
