Edo Tensei
I don't even know why am I doing this. Maybe to let my sorrow out? Well, either way, enjoy.

Isn't it nice? Peace can be achived, even if temporarily.
You can make civilians and shinobi live together peacefully, regardless of clans.
Tobirama was always skeptical about that, but his big brother showed him that it's not impossible.
Still... why is he smiling? Tobirama can't help but feel hatred towards him and his so called friend as he looks down on them from the tree he is sitting on.
They are laughing, training together, even being affectionate... what kind of brother is that?
Hashirama doesn't care to notice as Tobirama stares at him, rather just drowns in self pity as he had gotten a harsh comment from Madara.
Maybe, perhaps, that will never go away. That little habit of his.
Watching that unfold... all he can think about is how foolish it is.
Tobirama never had any hate in his heart towards Hashirama, but it hurts.
It hurts that he has to walk alone in a flower shop, because he is the only one who remembers.
He shook those thoughts out of his head though, as he already took out his wallet. He greeted a smile to the man wrapping up some roses,
" Good morning Inoae "
The man greeted back, happy to see a regular.
" Good morning, Lord Tobirama. "
He is not going to lie, being called that makes him feel a little icky, he isn't Hokage yet, or is it certain that he will ever be. However, formality is kept.
It's not like it will matter in a few years, right?
He just went on to choose flowers.
Four purple hyacinths for the first bouquet.
Two pink tulips and two delphiniums for the second one.
Two white tulips and two gladiolus for the third one.
They were all so beautiful, yet they only caused silence. He wished he could, but Inoae couldn't look the man infront of him in the eyes. He knows all too well what does this mean.
Tobirama was used to it. Usually he is greeted with silence upon entering a room.
And that silence followed him everywhere.
Well... not the cemetery. Where his brothers were.
He walked his way in, getting more and more nervous as his heart went quicker upon approaching the huge rock where his brothers are laid.
Dare he call it a grave.
Although, he was quite scared to face them just yet. So he decided to go to the left side of it, paying his respect to someone else's brother,
" Izuna, are you listening? I am sorry.. no, I just ask for your forgiveness. I hope you are watching over your brother, he seems to be doing well. "
He had placed the first bouquet of flowers down the cold shiny rock. He didn't know if the feeling in his chest is emptiness, or rather guilt.
It could be both.
Now came the hard part, going to the right side of the rock.
He can't call it a grave, he refuses to accept it.
He had placed the beautiful flowers down, bowing as he spoke.
" Itama... Kawarama... Please forgive big brother, he didn't come to your anniversaries. Even if he didn't come, I hope I am enough. Please don't hate him for this. Are you doing alright.. ? I wish I could hug you both for one last time, " tears streamed down his face as he grabbed his chest, gasping for air " I am sorry you could never make it to 10. I am so so sorry.... this isn't how it was supposed to turn out like... it really wasn't.... "
It was dawn when Tobirama caught his two younger siblings painting their face in the reflection of the river by their house.
He had approached the two giggly smaller ones as he noticed that they have their mothers make up paint in their hand.
It was cute, how excited they were over a few crushed up wet roses..
" Say, what are you doing? "
Itama looked at him, holding a brush for him to take,
" We are wearing warrior make up! Try it too! "
And so he did. He squat down alongside them, copying the motions they did,
" So tell me... Why are they dots? "
Kawarama smiled, clapping his hands together, happy to answer,
" It will bloom like a flower! It's just dots now... But when we will reach 10, it will all be lines, mimicking the shape of lowers! "
Itama nodded, as he adjusted the hand of his older brother,
" Yeah! Hashirama already celebrated his 10th birthday! So it's between us three now! "
Tobirama hummed, murmuring a little 'I see' as he painted his face. That was, to this day his favourite memory with his brothers.
And it keeps repeating over and over, he can't stop thinking about it. It pains him, if not everday, every other day.
Even as he looks through their family album and seems their cut off hair, from the first time they each got a hair cut.
The circles under his eyes barely tell a story compared to how swollen it has became. He had cried all day, his heart crushing.
He stroked over the plastic covering of the hair, sighing to himself in the darkness of his own room, being surrounded by nothing but cold..
... and a bunch of research papers.
" I wish I could bring you two back just by this... I miss you so much "
One thing is for sure, ghosts exist.
Tobirama had found out that a long time ago, by experience.
Turns out, hating your father and trying to please your brother's wishes only results in your dead father's spirit yelling at you whenever you manage to stay up after 5am.
Tobirama sniffed and wiped off his under eyes.
It's time to be stronger, it sucks to drown in self pity, day by day everyday.
And so that was the start of it all. The start of Edo Tensei.
Both the sun and moon had fallen down multiple times while Tobirama spent weeks in his office, only leaving for small wash ups.
He was desperate, he had a goal in mind and he for sure going to achive it.
Sleep was something he... well forgot to do, but came to him naturally. Each time, he had envisioned all the failed attempts that had happened.
It's been months, he is used to it. Used to all the dry tears on his cheek after a few minutes nap, as he still hears the painful scream of his little brothers. He wants to get it right. He so does.
Just what is he missing? What?
He has calculated everything imaginable. So why.. why don't they look human?
Those questions rang louder and louder in his head as he made an attempt to revive his brothers in their - now - family home.
Well, the little hill next to their garden tree.
Itama and Kawarama were sad. They couldn't be as grown up and as human as their big brothers.
They tried to comfort their older brother too.
He was on his knees, punching the ground with his fists as tears stormed down his face.
" Why, why, why? ", he asked, over and over.
Not to mistake him for an idiot though, once he felt two little hands stroke his back, he had wrapped his arms around what he knows as his little brothers.
" It's okay "
" Thank you for trying "
Those small little voices trying to comfort him.. their gentleness... It should be the other way around. It really should.
But why is he like this? It's hard to admit, but Tobirama is ashamed. It should be the other way around.
The ground broke, and suddenly there was water everywhere but around the three of them.
It was almost destructive, flooding everything around them, breaking of their tree, turning into a water tornado.
It took a mental breakdown for Hashirama to notice what's wrong, as he ran there yelling out
" Tobirama! "
That was the last thing in Tobirama's memory before his coma.
Hashirama must have solved it, he guesses. After all, not only their house is new, but their list of forbidden jutsus are too.
#the way this is a mess#tobirama#naruto#hashirama#itama#kawarama#senju bros#can you guess who is my favourite brother

The sharingan is just BPD.
Hey, this is coming from someone with bpd, and if this statement makes you mad double check your personality.
I mean, it's not like I have thought about obsessively, rather it's something I have just noticed.
Funny enough, there are at least five things that align, just enough for BPD diagnosis.
So let's see them.
1. Chronic emptiness
I don't think I need to explain this one, most Uchihas appear to feel empty and look cold all the time, even if they have a hard time and are full of emotions.
That's a form of burn out from the overwhelming amount of feelings that are hard to deal with.
I mean yeah, some are just cold by nature, but often even if they were sweet children, after gaining the sharingan they become emotionally numb to the naked eye.
2. Extreme amount of fear of abandonment
Yeah, you might think that's a reach, but it's there.
People with BPD tend to distance themselves on purpose to avoid real or imagined abandonment.
Madara left the village because he had suddenly believed Hashirama does not care and will leave him in the dark.
Sasuke was abandoned by his only family member after having to relive the death of his whole clan over and over what felt like years. He went out of his way to ignore everyone that tried to get close to him. He is an absent father probably because 'who knows when will they leave?'
So many people with BPD cut off communication with others because of that.
Of course, there might be more examples.
3. Special person
A special person is not someone you love and only love.
It can be, but not necessarily someone you are in love with. A special person isn't meant to be said in a lovely dovey way.
It's someone you love and hate at the same time.
For Madara it's Hashirama, for Sasuke it's Itachi, for Itachi it's probably their father, for Obito it's Kakashi.
The hate makes the condition worse. The love makes it stronger and allows one to pull through hardships.
Also, you can find the person mimic their special person a lot because without them, their self of identity is blurry.
A lot of things are blurry, in fact.
4. Explosive anger and heavy mood swings
Think of a time you saw ANY Uchiha go crazy.
It's most likely out of the blue right? Not necessarily unreasonable, but it's like a bomb.
They have held their emotions in so long and to themselves that when they reach an amount they just explode.
They can't hold themselves back at that point, or explain themselves well.
The moodwings are probably the most noticeable thing about them, it can make some unpredictable.
It's sad, because those moodswings make one be unable to make up their mind. They can last minutes, hours or days.
5. Changing values and interests rapidly.
It's not that they can't be loyal, or anything like that.
But have you ever saw an Uchiha make up their mind and stick to that entirely instead of gaslighting themselves and constantly questioning if it's the right decision?
Correct me if I am wrong, but I never saw an Uchiha not regret something.
Yeah... guess what that's a symptom of!
6. Tendency to view things to extremes
The sharingan canonically makes Uchihas to that.
In their eye there is only good and bad, black and white.
They are in a constant state of battle with themselves because they have no idea what side they are on and question if changing them is the right choice. They keep doing it though.
Like a ping pong ball ya know? Back and forth.
7. Complicated relationship with others
They have a hard time to communicate or understand others pretty often, doing things they don't mean to.
Knowing what they do is wrong doesn't necessarily stop them, because they are truly unable to control the mess they are in.
Neither are they able to control their mouth.
8. Trauma
Both the sharingan and bpd is caused by trauma.
The closer the person and more you love them, the bigger the effect is.
It's not like either one just shows up and is able to go away or stop developing. They don't.
It can be triggered more and more. Trauma, no matter how big or small. will always have an affect on it.
And sadly, with each one there is more hate and harmful/violent thoughts in the head.
9. The brain
Both of them literally demage the brain.
They are both factually disabilities, having negative affect on the brain in terms of emotions and logical thinking.
OUTRO;
That's all I can think of, and I am not saying I am right, but it's quite funny how much they align. I personally find it interesting and fun to explore.
It's almost as if Kishimoto got an inspiration from somewhere.
#uchiha#sasuke#madara#obito#shisui#itachi#izuna#kagami#indra#NO BUT THINK ABOUT IT#both are totally demonised too bc ppl just dont understand

Uchihas have BPD eye syndrome and Tobirama is the only one that's willing to understand, excellent post
And no, I am not being ableist, as someone with BPD, the sharingan alligns with a LOT of symptoms.
This page here is one of Kishimoto's most magnificent creations.

It's not because we're told for the umpteenth time that Uchiha have issues. But because all the tantrums it triggered in rabid Uchiha apologists aka Uchiha cultists. And so they took it upon themselves to deny canon by projecting their hate onto Tobirama because Kishimoto forbids someone calls out their Uchiha self-inserts.
Now enjoy all these other pages and panels of the Uchiha getting exposed:
Zetsu remarking Uchiha served him well since their conception

Uchiha killing their loved ones and stealing their eyes for power

Uchiha abusing their abilities for evil

Insane Uchiha forcing the sane Uchiha to create a mind-washing jutsu to put a leash on them

Obito calling the Uchiha's fate cursed with hatred with the Uchiha having no control over it

Madara noting he took advantage of Curse of Hatred

Sage of Six Paths, the sentient history book who has watched all events, confirming Uchiha clan's scheming for domination

And yet Tobirama is the only one who didn't believe this made the Uchiha inherently evil, but rather it came from love. And that they aren't doomed to fail but have control over their fates and the paths they choose.

Tobirama was the nicest and most generous to and most tolerant of this unstable clan. He acknowledges Uchiha's chakra anomaly and volatile minds.
Tobirama is the most pro-Uchiha figure here.
But somehow, Uchiha apologists think Tobirama is the bad guy here?! I don't see them calling Obito out for saying his clan is doomed to hate forever. So basically Uchiha apologists are saying Tobirama is wrong to not generalise them and see the good in them? Is this what Uchiha apologists are saying?! Lmao

Not this making me love Tobirama even more... bye
What do you think about people claiming 'Tobirama invented the cruel Chuunin Exams that pit one child against the other like a bullgight. Children were treated like a tool during his regime which means he was essentially creating Child Soldiers'?
I don't know if this fact were mentioned anywhere in the Manga. But with the way he was totally ready to offer up his life to save his students and advised them to groom young bloods who will carry on the Will of Fire makes me to think that this is some headcanon to slander Tobirama without any proof.
Thanks for the ask @captnjacksparrow
This is some made up claim to slander Tobirama without any proof.
That’s exactly what it is.
There are so many holes in Tobirama’s haters reasoning or lack thereof to put any credit into it. But not like we can expect objective thinking and critical narrative understanding from self-proclaimed antis. The antis dont even get the basic concept of Chunin exams. They aren't even for kids, most participants looked like adults.

Look at this guy:
As for the holes, let’s start with the most obvious one:
1. Lack of evidence: All facts we have from canon are that Tobirama created the rankings and the means to evaluate the genins who want to be Chunin. Rankings that are essential to the ninja and make sure they take missions according to their abilities. We have no idea how the exams were held in his time, we don’t know if they were deadly and we don’t know if young kids could participate or not. So I would ask haters to back up their claims with evidence but I know they cannot. Their argument is based on naught.
We could as easily say there was an age restrictions for Chunin in early Konoha, just as there were vigilant adults nearby to intervene the exams in case.
Matter of fact, there were no child soldiers in his era from what we've seen. Genins only do simple missions. Team Tobirama, for whom Tobirama sacrificed himself, were in their 20s.
(Hiruzen was 17 years older than Tsunade and Hashirama lived until her toddler years which makes Team Tobirama 20 at most)
So no child soldiers in early Konoha.
2. General OOC: By Hiruzen's time, the village had become tight-knit enough to hold such exams. Why should someone as practical as Tobirama create death matches for children at the time of Konoha's creation? When clans had joined togther for safety? It goes without sayin that seeing their kids kill each other is counterproductive to this newly-established peace. So I ask the antis, why would Tobirama jeopardise the peace like that? How would Konoha stay in one piece after that?
Tobirama antis can say he didn't care about safety of children but can they say the same of Hashirama? Kagami, Hiruzen's peer died when he was 25, after Tobirama. Adding that to their minumim age in the time of Tobirama's death means he reigned for 5 years max. Meaning Hashirama led the village for far longer and the organisation came to be under him. Why would he let kids partake in deadly exams?
Moreover thanks to Madara's efforts, the war broke out between ninja villages. Why would Hashirama and Tobirama deplete human resources by making Chunin exams fatal? Tobirama who gave up his own life to make sure the next generation, the hope of the village survive.

And Sarutobi downright admitted he let Danzo butcher his sensei's legacy. Meaning what they did were against Tobirama's wishes:

3. Tobirama and what he built saved more children in the long run: Tobirama created the academy so children who chose to become ninja could be trained properly, rankings and the means of evaluation so the ninja can take missions according to their abilities. Tobirama lost two brothers in Warring State Period because they were forced on missions they were unqualified for.

Not only did Tobirama help actualise Hashirama's peace that ended the warring era, he made sure children are no longer forced to be on battlefield; now they are trained properly, their graduation to genins alone has become challenging and even then they're to do basic harmless C and D rank missions. It was a radical for its time and a major step-up from the cruel days of warring state period.
No more children like Kawarama and Itama who were forced into cruel battles.
So haters can stay mad because Tobirama indeed cared about and protected the children.
4. Blaming one man? Let us assume, however pointlessly, just for the sake of the haters, that Tobirama Senju indeed established ninja battle royale. What does that mean? This man reigned only for 5 years; already did improve his era a lot. How is it fair to blame it on him? Hashirama let this happen and should be held as accountable. Hiruzen ruled for over 40 years and did nothing to change it. Neither did Minato who literally had Little Kakashi join the ANBU. Kakashi himself is called out by Gai sensei for enrolling his inexperienced genin team into the chunin exams.

But somehow the haters think it's all Tobirama's fault? They sound so smart and not all unfairly biased against a character they're projecting their hate onto!
My own opinion on this I don't exactly blame everyone here. It was stated Third Shinobi World War was a devastating one for Konoha and it forced them to take such desperate measures to ensure their survival and it seemingly stayed with them up until the start of the series. Danzo's corrupt influence couldn't have been impactless either. Blaming it on Tobirama is ridiculous because as stated previously, he didn't do any of the things the antis claim.
What I think is, this shonen series is about ninja kids kicking ass and saving adults. Moreover, it's set in feudal copycat era. Certain fans should stop being clueless and quit projecting their modern views and also their hate and negativity upon this series. Not only are they unable to make compelling arguments, they let their personal dislike for certain characters bleed through. They ruin the fun we can have here, in the fandom.
Rabid haters always ruin the fun.

I don't hate Hashirama, but absolutely no lies were told in this.
He is not a family person at all. Tobirama knew that too, as he was scared that Hashirama would kill him for a friend.
I personally believe Hashirama is the type of person to care about a family member once it's too late.
Not even talking about how his logic never protected children, but due to his actions children HAD TO learn how to kill someone.
I know Tobirama came up with the academy, but Hashirama did nothing for the safety of kids besides making a home village for them.
He failed to achive what he wanted and became the exact thing he hated, his father.
Hashirama the man who admitted to being able to kill his own children.
In the previous post I praised how beautiful and destructive Hashirama’s Mokuton was during Part 1 so now it is time to criticise him again.
So let’s talk about the man who would sacrifice his family if they threatened the existence of Konoha.
Let’s put it in context: This takes place years after Madara leaves the village when he realises that the villagers and other people will not accept him.
So years later Madara returns to the village to destroy it and confronts Hashirama.

Hashirama uses a clone of Mokuton and stabs Madara in the back. He then goes on to explain that he will protect HIS village no matter what the cost, that he will kill anyone who threatens the existence of Konoha no matter if it is his friend (Madara), a brother (Tobirama), or one of his own children so perhaps he also implies that he might even kill his wife (Mito).
This perfectly represents how horrible Hashirama is and the job of Hokage as it implies that you must put the village before your family. This also explains why all Hokages are terrible fathers and husbands because the first one set a precedent.

I refuse to think that Mito didn’t hear this, she was probably very close to sealing Kurama in herself. And suddenly your husband the person you’ve had children with admits he’d kill them if they threatened Konoha.
What the fuck Hashirama?!
Now I understand why Hashirama never thinks about Mito or his children, his marriage was ruined after this and his children surely hated him for what he said. And he deserved it! I’m sure the love Mito was referring to was not only romantic but also the love between friends, family, etc…. It’s a shame that Kushina ended up with someone just like Hashirama.
I bet spoiling Tsunade was Hashirama’s attempt to repair his relationship with his first son(sure didn’t work). He probably ignored the rest of his grandchildren.
Besides Hashirama doesn’t really think positively of his granddaughter. When he found out she was Hokage he asked if the village was alright

Dude! You haven’t seen your granddaughter since she was 4-5 years old and you think you have the right to have an opinion about her, to think she would do a bad job? You have no idea about Tsunade’s life, so shut the fuck up!!!
Tsunade had to experience the death of her family and all the people who were important to her (and you don’t deserve to be among those important people). She became Hokage even though she didn’t want to and it was a shitty job. And she did a great job so shut up Hashirama.
And we get to what is one of the moments I hate the most. Tsunade says she’s sorry to Hashirama:

And I need to ask, because it’s burning me alive.
What is she apologizing for?
Is she apologizing for the war when it’s not her fault?
Is she apologising for not making peace when she had no obligation to do so?
The wars happened largely because of Hashirama because the idiot had the brilliant idea to hand out the bijuus. What was he really thinking? Or wait Hashirama is incapable of thinking.
And if he thinks it’s only about Madara and the welfare of the village. The Senju clan should have expelled Hashirama or something because this guy had serious troubles. Or maybe Ashura is the one who had problems who knows?
And worst of all Tsunade had just recovered from being cut in half and separated several meters by fucking Madara if a guy cut my granddaughter in half I would tear him apart.
And even cut in half she was still conscious and wanting to heal the Kages.
And Hashirama goes and tells Madara at the end to drink sake together.
You can fuck off Hashirama.

As far as I know we don't know anything about Kagami's childhood.
For all you know Kagami might have been abandoned or left behind by his family due to death or bad parenting.
What if one day Tobirama just saw him all alone, dirty, stealing food and went like '... I have to take care of that child.' AND SO HE DID.
We absolutely know nothing about it for all you know, maybe the reason why Kagami is his favourite is because he is like a son or younger brother. - Aside from skills of course -
