the reason dante has so much compacity to care & show this much positivity to one person is the fact they have inherently yet to be burned by the city despite their exposure to its' atrocities and the things that have become of it. how they are the last bit of respite for anyone, or even their sinners because dante, despite everything, still holds onto their naivety and hope they have. the city has yet to take it from them and they are so adamant because they want to be the one beacon in the life of those who need and desperately want this.

oh, to be on the receiving end of where dante looks at you and just lights up in an unexplainable joy. between the way their smoke and flame shoots up in an eagerness, how their clockhands perk up/spin about with the rapid ticking and tocking and then even their body language where they cant help but lean in forward to you to show their interest in remaining close.

surprisingly enough , yes the clockhead can feel touch. albeit if you touch their head softly, it'd be akin to fingers lightly brushing against skin but more applied pressure more means more of a stronger touch is registered.

doing verses is making me look a the timeline of things for limbus. its interesting

prologue + canto 1&2 were in the same month (984-01)

canto 3 was in its own month (984-02)

hells chicken was in its own month (984-03)

a whole month passed before canto 4 began

canto 4 & s.e.a took place in the same month (984-05)

a whole two months passed before canto 5

canto 5 (984-07)

miracle in distract 20 (984-08)

2 months passed before yield my bones to claim their flesh happened (984-10)

canto 6 happens (984-11)

time killing time and warp and canto 7 happens in the same month (984-12)

canto 8 happens (985-01)

so theyve only rlly had about a combined total of fiveish months where they had a lot of time between missions...

wanted to ramble...

thinking about the canto summaries and how they're likely snippets from something longer dante has written in summarization of everything that happens each time. the extent they take to document everything they possibly can makes me feel deep into my emotions because when you remember why?

and i think the distress of knowing they could end up in a position of where they were at the start of their journey without any of the insight they learned. their notes are full, between terminology related to the city, to individual files based on their sinners, to explaining each place they've been in depth and what happened.

heck , they're even documenting information that can land them in trouble.
