LORE: Resets (Tols)
Lore:Resets This document is to explain the claims of one Frisk Dreemurr, backed by the scientists Dr. W.D. Gaster and Sans T. Skeleton.
Resets are a phenomenon only found beneath the mountain, and only capable of being used by those with great determination. An example can be found in Frisk Dreemurr, who used this ability to help save monster-kind.
As explained by Miss Dreemurr, Resets came in the form of buttons when ever she returned to the underground via the hole she first fell in. She claims that reset would also be seen when she touched what has been dubbed as Save stars. These stars allowed Miss Dreemurr to Save, Reload when killed, or completely Reset.
These abilities are how Miss Dreemurr first rescued the monsters and then were used in Resets as she tried to save the pair of princes from fates worse than death. In these resets she also discovered that Gaster still lived and assisted in saving him from the void. The following will explain each ability and how it revolves around Miss Dreemurr’s heroism.
Save: She is able to “save” progress at the Save Stars. As she puts it this ability was as if she placed a point to return to during a Reload.
Reload: This ability ability seemed to pull her soul back in time to the last time she saved, allowing her to try again at what killed her. According to Miss Dreemurr she has used this ability only underground and that it resets time completelyto her last save.
Reset: Resets come in two varieties, True Reset and Reset. According to Researcher Sans the ability to Reset during a regular Reset does not affect his memory, nor does it entirely erase the memories of others. There is still a lingering feeling that Miss Dreemurr is familiar despite the fact they do not in fact remember her. True Resets erase memories from everyone but a very select few, who were not named at time of this writing. These completely resets time to when Miss Dreemurr first fell, leaving no memories behind.

LORE: History of the Tols
Lore: History Tol-verse history starts with the incident that sparked a war. Though tensions were high, due to historically racist ideals of humans, there was still a comradery between the two races. This was until a human, bonded to a monster, was injured so deeply there was no rescuing them. Their bonded, an unknown type of monster, took their soul and transformed into a monster who went on a rampage over their bond-mate’s death. Once the monster had been subdued the humans turned on the monsters, believing they hid their ability to absorb monster souls in order to trick them. This lead to a war that lasted decades, the monsters slowly but surely falling back to the cave that one day be their home. At some point before they reached the cave system under Mt. Ebbot Gaster’s wife was cut down, leading to a mental break. This break led Gaster to slaughter hundreds of humans, so many in fact that he became a symbol of death for humanity.
Humanity, once they had the monsters trapped, took seven people known for magical ability and forced them against their will to create the barrier. This barrier sealed the monsters away, as well as sealed seven monsters from their human bonded.
Years later, Gaster would create what is known as a monument of monster technology known as the CORE. This was before the death of the princes, and his directive changing from helping them survive to breaking the barrier. The CORE was also where Gaster had his lab, using the magical power to assist him in many trials, including tests to destroy the barrier once and for all. This is also where he had his incident, during an experiment gone awry as he tried to see into the void. There was an explosion as the conduits became overloaded, sending him and his son Sans towards the abyss. Gaster was capable of rescuing his son via throwing him with his magic though fell in himself. This fall shattered his soul but kept him in a limbo as he resided in the void with a small piece within himself.
Two years before Smol-verse was freed Frisk Dreemurr fell into a hole the led into the ruins. She made fast friends with many and rescued everyone possible. (See Resets for an explination) Once freed Frisk helped gain humanities support in Monsters returning to the surface and has helped other versions of herself get their people accepted as well.

Skeleton house Headcanons
Death of a loved one continued
Dings:  Anger, anguish and either a need for retribution or a slow slip into numbness. It starts with tears, disbelief and a mild confusion before going into the angry vengeance or as is with the case with his wife, a state of numb that he'll use to ignore what happened. He'll spiral from there into some kind of depression.
Swaps: Ugly crying, full body shaking, pleading.
Ash: He'll look the same, act the same and seem entirely like it hasn't effected him, until you get find him alone and then he'll be in the corner more than likely playing with his lighter and not caring if he burned himself or not.
Chara: He doesn't know how to process it and will get angry that no one's explaining things to him but in reality he doesn't quite understand.
Aster: Anger that simmers under the surface. If he had anyone to care about and they died he'd find whoever it was that killed them and effectively torture them until they're a broken mess like he will be, empty and wanting death.
Fell: Pure unadulterated rage, in the immediate situation he'll get extremely violent, brutally attack whoever did it with little care for his life. If they weren't killed he'd more than likely harm himself greatly and just eventually give up. (With boss or any of his ships like Sans)
Jas: The only one he cares about is boss and having him die would make him entirely submit to someone as a slave to be used like a toy until they broke him.
Fell!Plates: Numbness and an inability to cope with anything.
fell!Pap: Rage and then a period of depression that'll make him short, snippy and quite violent if provoked.
Bats: He'll be sad, if they're killed he'll do his best to hold himself back from doing anything stupid but don't get him drunk or he might. The funeral he'll pour a shot of scotch out for them and honor them in the old ways.
Xing: Xing would be healthy about it and mourn them as any normal one theoretically should. He'd just be immensely sad for quite a while and not be able to get over it that easy.

Death of a loved one continued
Wing: numb shock that turns to rage as soon as he finds someone or something to blame. then he makes a plan to destroy that thing. his rage has always tasted like sorrow anyway.
 Comic: coolkidcontemplatessuicide.jpg
pap[smol]: perhaps he wouldn’t believe it for a while, but when reality sets in he would be inconsolable for the longest time
Friska: she’s a sensitive soul, someone protect this tiny bab. she would refuse to believe it, refuse to accept it and try to reset.
Khara: they’ve fought death once, by god they’ll do it again.

Skeleton House Headcanons
Death of a loved one:
Gaster: Run. Just run. If Wing somehow died, or someone killed Sans and Papyrus, this over powered monster will be on a rampage. Gaster has always had anger issues but death seems to trigger something in him that makes him into the monster his people have been labeled. His first, and so far only, time if meeting death in such a way is what made his LV so high. Now, with that LV he is a danger to everyone but the Frisks, his sons/Wing (depending on who has died).
Sans: Sans losing Gaster or Papyrus would cause his anger to become a cold rage. He would punish you with a Bad Time and make sure you can’t hurt anyone else. Frisk dying is another story. Her death would break him, his body curling around hers and not letting anyone close for a while. It would take his father holding him back to keep him from absorbing her soul, Sans incapable of the thought of her being lost forever.
Pap (Tol): Papyrus, despite his cinnamon roll status, will be like his brother and father if they or Metta were to die. Cold unstoppable rage until the person was punished is all one would get from him. Once the person is punished he would then mourn his loss.
Frisk: Frisk, being the gentle soul she is, would be in pieces if something were to happen to her brothers, Sans, or Tori and Asgore. Consoling her would be next to impossible, especially if it were one of the monsters. Someone else would have to gather the ashes of the monsters, her grief getting to be too much if she is required to do it.

Skeleton house Headcanons
Dealing with Sadness continued
Dings:  He doesn't deal with sadness well. He ignores it, allows maybe a moment or two but does his best to forget the feeling exists and does everything in his power to ignore it until it bursts open like a sore. Then he'll cry ugly and loud.
Swaps: Silently. He attempts to be cheerful but is doing his best not to break down and cry right there.
Ash: He finds somewhere to hide and sobs silently. He hates people seing him like that in any way shape or form and does his best to hide it.
Chara: Angry crying, destructive.
Aster: Anger. His response to being sad is violent and he likes to pick at something, or someone continually until it or they break.
Kale: Silence, he'll hold it back as long as he can until he just lets it loose and just lets the tears fall.
Fell: Fell doesn't deal with being sad. Any depressive episode or sad feelings of any sort he prefers to drink and numb into oblivion by being drunk. He hates feeling like that and does his best to just not.
Jas: Sad is a feeling he doesn't do well with, it's usually silence with an attempt to keep his apperance up, no one likes a sad hooker.
Fell!Plates: Ugly crying but he's used to feeling sad. Any major sad spell he'll refuse to do nearly anything and let Pap do anything for him; he'll numb out and disassociate.
fell!Pap: Gruff sadness, the kind that makes hardened men tear up.
Bats: Like remembering someone who's died, just silent anguish that gets that single man tear or two.
Xing: Crying, the water works and hiccups and hand wringing.

Dealing with Sadness Continued
Wing: his sadness is cold, hollow, empty. much like the void. when he cries, its hot and angry sorrow. anger has always been better anyway.
 Comic: CoolKidHasDepression.jpeg, Avoidance skill 100.
Pap[smol]: he’s quite easily moved to tears, happy or sad. he tries to remain positive through most things however.
Friska: many things make this small sad, however she rarely cries. if she does its usually in her room and very quietly.
Khara: an ugly crier, he rages like a hurricane, screaming, yelling, throwing things, even going so far as to defy death itself...we were talking about sorrow, right?

Dealing with Sadness:
Gaster: Gaster doesn’t deal with sadness. It is not in his nature to deal with something like that. Instead he works, ignoring the sadness until he gets over it. The only sadness he can’t escape is when someone mentions his wife, the memory reminding him how he feels he failed her when she died.
Sans: Sans is much like any Sans. When he is sad or depressed he turns to comedy and puns. It’s not that he means to, but it’s habit now. He didn’t learn the best coping methods from Gaster, though if someone sees past his puns Sans has no real defense. He will cry much easier than Gaster does, but not as easily as Pap would.
Pap (Tol): As emotive as Papyrus is it’s no surprise that he is just as emotive sad as he is when happy. Tears and ugly sobbing incoming when Papyrus gets sad, and he clings to either Metta or his brother, letting them help him through his sadness.
Frisk: Frisk tries to hide her sadness, though she can’t when it comes to Sans, Chara or Azzy. Their soul connection lets them pry into her sudden quietness and her hiding herself away. When sad she will curl under blankets and let the tears roll down her cheeks, used to not being allowed sadness thanks to her human family. However, if Sans, Chara or Azzy come and cuddle with her she doesn’t mind, letting her tears fall on their shoulders rather than just down her face.

Kisses continued
Dings:  His kisses with his wife were passionate but warm like the summer sun. He'd wrap his arms around her and make her feel safe. Kisses with anyone else were mostly forehead, top of the skull or cheek kisses and were brief.
Swaps: Always filled with childlike energy.
Ash: Hair/skull kisses with his teeth, always sort of wistful like there was some other feeling behind it.
Chara: Sloppy and kid kisses.
Aster: nO -static-
Kale: He'd only kiss someone he loved and he'd tilt his head, press his lips to theirs and nip at their lower lip once for good measure.
Fell: His kisses for those he loves are deep, passionate and full of love. To those he's brought to his bed they're rough, entirely bite-y and harsh.
Jas: Have you ever heard of tongue fucking?
Fell!Plates: He is not one to kiss anyone.
fell!Pap:  Chaste but full of feeling.
Bats: His kisses are wild, sloppy and like being buzzed and feeling good at a party.
Xing: Full of whirlwind romance but not tasting like anything serious.

Kisses
Gaster: Has no lips but still presses teeth kisses to the temple of Wing. His sons, when they were younger got teeth kisses to their foreheads.
Sans: Before the magical skin his kisses were filled with his magic, to make up for the lack of lips. Now that he has them he loves to pepper Frisk’s face with little kisses when ever he can. Deeper kisses he saves for once they are alone, as he has a bit of a control problem when they kiss for long enough.
Pap (Tol): Like Gaster his kisses are more teeth pressing against skin, but all of his kisses are saved for his Metta.
Frisk: Her kisses are as gentle as her personality, though can get heated with Sans. Little kids get forehead kisses, being told they are wishes that they come home safe. Her brother’s get cheek kisses when she says goodbye to them, just to show her love for her brothers. Gast: Like Gaster he realizes he has no lips but will still give a kiss to a forehead of a kid. Adults who want kisses gotta talk him into it but if he does he will give you all he’s got.

Hugs Continued
Dings:  He wraps his arms around you tightly and holds for a few moments, longer than a quick hug but shorter than uncomfortable.
Swaps: Tight, long and likes to be all gushy about it.
Ash: No hugs, not unless it's the kid in which case he'll pick Chara up and let them sit on his hip with his arm around his torso.
Chara: Doesn't do a lot of hugs except with Ash but if he does he prefers short hugs.
Aster: nO -static-
Kale: If it's someone he loves he'll hold on and nuzzle into their shoulder, anyone else he'll just do the whole pat on the back sort of hug.
Fell: His hugs are tight and enveloping and warm with an accompanying heady scent of magic and mustard.
Jas: Are you sure this is how a hug is supposed to go?
Fell!Plates: Not unless it's his Pap and he clings tightly.
fell!Pap:  No, only with his fell, his hugs with his fell are quite posessive.
Bats: He'll pick you up and bear hug you, almost crushing you.
Xing: He wraps around you like a warm blanket and always makes you feel welcomed or comforted with his hugs.(edited)

Hugs Continued
Wing: he’s awkward both giving and receiving hugs, but like with cuddling his protective instincts will coax him into holding someone if they’re distressed.
Comic: not a big hugger, but also a rag doll when picked up so hug him if you like.
Friska: hugs! hugs for everyone! even people who don’t deserve hugs! you get a hug! and YOU get a hug! everyone gets a hug!

Hugs:
Gaster: Big hugs from this tall dork. He is gentle with humans, since he knows they can be fragile, but its still a big warm hug
Sans: Side hugs for anyone but his Frisk. Smaller than other Tols he isn’t as gentle but still is careful so he won’t hurt anyone.
Pap (Tol): Bear hugs. Maybe tackling ones if he knows the person. He has to be reminded to loosen his grip with humans, though Metta gets the full force of his skelly boyfriend’s enthusiasm
Frisk: She gives the gentlest of hugs, her arms usually wrapping around the person’s waist unless they are shorter than her. Then she just hugs them to her chest. Children get lifted into snuggly hugs, cause they need a lot of affection in her eyes. Gast: (GastTale Gaster) Gast is a Dadster, but the cool kind. So hugs for kids are normal. Adults get hugs only if they ask, as a respect to the person’s boundaries
(Gast is a new member of the skele group).

Wing: don’t cuddle him, he gets awkward around physical contact. this however is overridden in the face of emotionally distressed individuals. its like Wing can smell it and he will administer hugs as he sees fit.
Comic: If hes cuddling you, worry. is either a prank or hes hit a breaking point. however if you pick him up and use him like a teddy bear hes not gonna complain.
