I spent the weekend selling my stuff at a #darkartscraftfaire and my booth neighbor was @the.blackshelf !! They sell incredibly rare antique books. By Stina- So this month's @owlcrate was interesting in that it had a little different feel to it. I was a little skeptical because they claimed it had a scented item and scents give me migraines. But I was pleasantly surprised. (I'll just give away the candle) The book is #threedarkcrowns by @kendareblake and it had a super cute little folded fortune game, a letter and a signed bookplate. By Stina- so my 6 year old son insisted on picking this book up at the library. So far, it's been really enjoyable. About a robot who gets shipwrecked and sees everything for the first time. Beautiful and interesting descriptions, a lot of discussion of feelings. A book sure to help a child's empathy and understanding grow. Plus, the robot is a girl. Which I (and my son) is loving. By Stina- so it was my 9th wedding anniversary this week with @jmwulfe so I posted some lovely flowers and #mysticandrider a #twelvehouses novel by #sharonshinn because I love how she writes relationships. They are so multi layered, interesting and never perfect. I love that everyone has to constantly work on their relationships but at the end of the day, they're still a team. (Not to mention how great the rest of her stories are.)

By Stina-So this is the book I got in @owlcrate this month. It's P.S. I like you by @kasiewest. (Also this dress if from @heruniverse) I had read a couple of hard books, watched Pete's dragon (sob fest), had a couple of long days at work, and was feeling sad. I really needed a light happy read. So I read it all up. It was really cute, a hair dramatic, and fun. It hit a little close to home for me, so it was part funny and part horrifying flashbacks of my own high school. I was the weird art kid who dressed dorky and went to lots of music shows to escape. My family was huge and I babysat a lot too. Luckily, I had Steph S (also on tomeraiders account) to be my bestie and tell me that my boyfriends were stupid. Haha anyway, worth a read. By Stina- so Steph S and I picked this as our latest summer buddy read. I finished this one first. I included vegan cookies in this picture because they speak a lot about some vegan food and cookies are mentioned as being dry and crappy. I want to go on record as saying that cookies are probably my favorite food. I take vegan cookie defamation as the highest form of insult. So I can only assume the author has eaten crappy vegan cookies from someone who's bad at cooking. Don't listen to her, vegan cookies are amazing. ANYWAY So I won't give you much of a review.. Except to say that it was a very hard book for me to read. It was thoughtful, interesting and well done. I hated it. By Stina, This month's #owlcrate @owlcrate was good vs. evil. I was happy to get evil, because after reading #thesavagesong by @veschwab I had a photo idea. This really is a perfect book for this theme as it explores the basic idea of good vs evil and how individuals define it. This box also included a lovely letter from the author, a bookplate and a coloring book of YA covers. This creepy little dementor with a weird cat butt mouth is perfect to go with this book.
