Love. If at first you don't succeed - love, love again. Love is about giving. Primarily, it is about loving yourself first. When you love yourself, everything else falls into place. Yet, you may be your own greatest critic. Despite being able to accept the faults in others and love them unconditionally, you may not find it as easy to love yourself unconditionally. Practice makes perfect! Love is also about receiving. Receiving love is a wonderful way to start loving yourself. When you receive gifts and compliments from others, do you accept them graciously? Can you allow yourself to be loved? There is a continuous flow of love in the Universe, of which you are a part. Giving yourself love is an integral part of the cycle of love. Your sense of self has developed over your lifetime and is often influences by other people in your life. This is a time to reaffirm or redefine your personal boundaries - how you behave in relation to others. Perhaps you have become too influenced by someone in your life. Are you living your life more for someone else than primarily for yourself? Are you letting people draw too much on you so that you are not doing what you love and what you are here to do? Be true to yourself. If you feel that you are doing something that does not honour you, then you need to reconsider your view of who you are and how you are behaving in relationships. Mineral. You are part of the earth and the earth is part of you. The first petal in the centre of the Chartres labyrinth represents the mineral realm. It consists of all the elements and compounds contained in the earth. It can easy to take the earth and your connection with it for granted. It is easy to assume that the earth provides for your physical needs unquestionably. When you look around you, everything you see is provided by the earth. Your home, your car, your food, the air you breathe, even the animals and people you see are composed of earthly compounds. The Earth is an amazing provider of all your needs. Pause for a moment to acknowledge the earth - Mother Earth. Seek to become at one with Mother Earth and her energy.
