UPDATE: two more episodes have been added to this season.
The Miraculous AU, Season 3
We’ve finally made it to Season 3. I imagined Season 3 of the Miraculous AU being the last, but I’d also like to include every Miraculous being used at least once. This season would be subtitled “Cursed Object War” in reference to “Infinity War.” It would take a few months after A Heist With Ladybug.
I wanted to break this into two posts, but I think putting them all together will be better in the long run. The Season 3 villain is a villainess who was trapped in the Guardians’ tower and escaped during the confusion of the Guardians suddenly coming back.
This season 3 premiere is probably the most fleshed-out plot I’ve written for the Miraculous AU besides the first four chapters. This series premiere features references to Sanders Sides, a webshow by Thomas Sanders.
Thomas arrives in Los Angeles and looks for some props he’ll need for his show (that he couldn’t bring on the plane.) He knows he needs a full-body mirror and finds a thrift shop selling one. The cashier of the thrift shop is the villainess I mentioned earlier (her name will be revealed later.) Thomas buys the mirror and takes it back to his hotel room.
“Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the gayest of them all?” Thomas joked, looking into the prop mirror.
However, after staring into the mirror, Thomas feels some sort of pull to it.
Thomas reached out for the mirror, despite almost everything in his body telling him not to. When he placed his hand on the glass, a bright light filled the room… And six figures stood in his place.
Later, Mark and Jack are walking around Los Angeles. They run into Patton, one of Thomas’s Sides. They get to talking to him and…
I have energy, Jack thought, but this guy has dad energy. His energy level far exceeds even my own!
Even after all his talking, Patton hasn’t introduced himself yet. For Mark and Jack, he seems familiar…
“The name’s Patton!” His eternal smile dropped slightly…to a grin. “I think you have me confused with someone else, but I’m looking for him too. He kind of looks like me, but he might be even more handsome~” Mark didn’t have to guess who Patton was looking for, but he joked, “Does this person have a name starting with ‘T-H’ and ending with ‘Sanders’?” “If you use his full name, yes!” Mark gets away from Jack and Patton for a minute to talk with Tikki. “This feels like an Akuma doing this, but it can’t be!” Tikki exclaimed. “Master Fu would’ve told us if anything happened to the Butterfly Miraculous, so this must be something new. What…did you fight before the Akumas came along?” Mark wondered why he never asked that question before, since once upon a time, all the Miraculous were on the side of good. “Just…threats that required a superhero’s touch whenever they came along.” The Kwami shrugged. “Most of them were supernatural, but we helped with other big threats when we were needed.”
When he gets back to Jack and Patton, Mark asks if Patton or Thomas have met any strange people or found any strange objects. Patton tells Mark and Jack about the mirror.
“I was trying my hardest to tell Thomas not to touch that mirror because it looked spooky, but before I could stop him… I was there, and Thomas wasn’t.” Patton sighed, wishing he could’ve done more.
Mark and Jack decide it’s time for Ladybug and Chat Noir to return, but they can’t just leave Patton here. The two heroes pull Patton into an alleyway to decide whether they can trust Patton with their secret identities.
“Hey, are you good at keepin’ secrets?” Jack asked. Patton frowned for the first time. “Uh…not at all.” “Then cover yer eyes!” Jack told Patton. “I would, but my name doesn’t have any~” Mark groaned and put Patton’s own hands up to his eyes. Mark told him, “Now stay like that until we say you can open your eyes.” Mark and Jack manage to transform by just whispering the activation phrases. Ladybug and Chat Noir ask Patton who they should be looking for next. Patton mentions Virgil first. “Maybe we should start by findin’ this Virgil,” Chat Noir said. “I’m right here,” someone said behind all of them. Chat Noir and Ladybug jumped at the sudden voice and Patton yelped. The two heroes turned to see someone who looked a lot like Patton…if he decided to go completely emo. He had hair in his face and shadows under his eyes. He wore a ragged hoodie with purple patches and had a noticeable slouch.
Ladybug and Chat Noir ask for Virgil’s side of the story, just to make sure Patton and Virgil’s stories are similar. Sure enough, they are: Thomas touched a mirror, and the Sides appeared from it.
“I really wish Thomas listened to me and didn’t touch that mirror.” Virgil sighed. "Things were better when I was just Thomas's habitual worry. No body, no other feelings to deal with..."
Ladybug and Chat Noir are about to ask Patton and Virgil about the others when suddenly:
“Virgil! Patton!” Someone ran up to the two and grabbed them around the shoulders. Virgil and Patton both looked a little frightened by him. He looked like Virgil and Patton but distinctly “normal.” He wore a brown leather jacket and a white shirt with a black collar. “Thank goodness you’re okay. I’ve been looking all over for you!” “You must be Thomas,” Ladybug assumed. Thomas nodded, smirking. “That’s my name - don’t wear it out.” Then he took notice of the heroes’ appearance. “You know, I’d heard stories about superheroes around LA, but I didn’t think they were real.” “I’m Ladybug, and this is Chat Noir,” Ladybug greeted. “We, uh, thought this problem was Akuma-related since we haven’t seen an Akuma in a while. Patton mentioned something about a mirror?” Thomas nodded, frowning. “Yeah. I touched this mirror I got from this thrift shop and then I felt…empty. Before I could stop them, my Sides just…ran off. I think the mirror was gonna split me up according to my personality, but I already do that for my show, heh.” “Sorry, but we haven’t seen your show. How many Sides are there?” Ladybug asked. “Six so far. Morality, Logic, Creativity, Dark Creativity, Anxiety, and Deceit. I think Deceit might be the hardest one to catch, though. In the show, he disguises himself as my other Sides sometimes.” “That could be a problem, but let’s find the others first,” Chat Noir suggested. Thomas also suggested, “I can take Patton and Virgil back to my hotel room if you think they won’t help with--” “We can help Ladybug and Chat Noir,” Virgil interrupted Thomas, looking slightly ticked off. “You can go back to your hotel room and rest until we find the others.” “Wow, okay, no need to get snappy with me, Virgil.” Thomas looked defensive. “But then again, I’m not sure how helpful I’ll be anyway. I’ll go back to my room and try to get ready for the show. Just be back before then.”
Thomas leaves for the hotel room. Ladybug and Chat Noir wonder which Side to look for next. Patton chooses Logic.
Virgil explained, “That’s Logan. He kind of looks like a teacher with his nerdy glasses and tie, likes Crofter’s jam, and he sometimes yells—" “FALSEHOOD!” Virgil clicked his tongue and pointed in the direction of the noise. “That.”
Ladybug, Chat Noir, Patton, and Virgil follow the noise and find Logan in a heated debate with someone. The four would either help Logan win the debate or “help” Logan lose the debate, depending on where they stand. After the debate is over, they get Logan to focus on the matter at hand. They ask Logan where the other Sides might be.
Chat Noir realized, “Hey, you’re a smart guy. Do you know where Deceit might be?” “Actually, he goes by Janus,” Logan clarified. “I don’t know why Thomas would tell you otherwise…”
None of the Sides can think of where Janus could be, so they go after Roman and Remus next. As “twin brother” Sides, there’s a likelihood they will be together. They find them prepared to spar in the park.
Ladybug and Chat Noir looked at the two combatants: one was dressed in a white prince outfit with a red sash across his left shoulder. He had gold shoulder pads and a shield symbol on both arms. He held a katana tightly in his right hand. The other looked like a distorted mirror of the first. There was a white streak through his hair and a curled moustache the first lacked. His “prince” outfit was black and green, perfectly contrasting the first. He also wielded a mace in his left hand. Logan explained, “The one in white is Roman, and the one in black is Remus.” Virgil looked at Roman and Remus, and then at Ladybug and Chat Noir. He commented, “You know, if Chat Noir was evil, you guys would look a lot like Princey and the Duke over there.” Ladybug frowned as he watched the “brothers” fight. “I don’t see it.” But Chat Noir did - it didn’t help he’d been Akumatized and fought Ladybug before, even though those memories were a blur. Chat said, “That doesn’t help. We need to turn the fight in Roman’s favor and snatch Remus while he’s distracted.” “It should be easy. We outnumber the Duke five to one,” Logan pointed out.
Ladybug, Chat Noir, Patton, Logan, and Virgil help Roman fight against Remus. Chat manages to hit Remus’s middle.
“GAH! SON OF A B*TCH!” Remus shouted. Chat looked confused at the strange bleep noise. “Did you just…censor yourself?” Remus’s eyes widened and he smiled as he realized where he was. “Wait, I’m in the real world now! I can swear for real! SON OF A—” Patton covered his ears from the string of curses coming from Remus’s mouth. All the Sides were fazed, but Ladybug and Chat Noir weren’t. I mean, they cursed in their videos all the time.
Then, Chat pins Remus with his staff.
Remus groaned as Chat pinned him down with his staff. Wait…now the Duke was moaning. Then he moaned out, “Harder, daddy~” Chat made a face of disgust, and a groan followed.
Soon, Remus is captured. The Sides, Ladybug, and Chat Noir go back to Thomas’s hotel room. It’s getting close to showtime, and they still haven’t found Janus.
“Where do you think this Janus would be?” Ladybug asked. "If you know where to look, Janus isn't that hard to find." Then, Virgil glowered at Thomas. "Isn't that right, 'Thomas'?" Thomas put on a knowing, evil smirk, and everyone reacted: Virgil just seethed, Patton and Roman looked spooked, Logan’s eyes widened, Remus giggled, (add other Dark Sides?) but Ladybug and Chat looked confused. “Thomas” chuckled, “Oh, Virgil, I didn’t expect you’d be the first one to figure it out again.” “Um…I’m lost. Figure out what?” Chat asked. Virgil answered, “That’s not Thomas.” Before the Sides, Ladybug, and Chat Noir’s eyes, the air around Thomas blurred, like a blur effect being used in real life. When their view sharpened again, a figure who looked like Thomas stood. His face almost resembled Thomas’s, if you could overlook the left half was covered in snake scales and had a slitted eye. He wore a bowler hat with clothes that probably wouldn’t look out of place in 19th-century London. Almost all of what he wore was yellow, giving him a clear motif. Now able to see clearly, Ladybug said the truth: “So you’re Janus.” “Who’s she? Never heard of her~” he quipped. Roman groaned, “Can’t you at least get new material? Then again, Creativity’s someone else’s job.” “What was your plan, anyway?” Virgil asked. “Get everyone in this hotel room together, and when we least expect it…kill us?” “You would kill us, Janus!?” Patton looked shocked, even though he knew Janus wasn’t the most moral Side. “HA!” Remus blurted out. “He wasn’t gonna kill all of us, idiots- just you, Roman, and Logan. You know, ‘the good guys.’” Chat asked, “Is that true?” After trying so hard to keep his plans under wraps, Janus could only look at everyone in the room awkwardly as he tried to come up with an answer. “…No…?” “He doesn’t usually tell the truth,” Logan told Ladybug and Chat Noir. “So he was going to kill us, to leave Thomas’s remaining personality at its very worst.”
Ladybug and Chat Noir get ready to fight Janus and Remus, when suddenly:
Janus sprouted another pair of arms, then a third pair of arms. It was now his six arms against the six of them...until Remus managed to escape his binds. He snapped right through them with the four black octopus tentacles sticking out from his back. He said to Chat and Ladybug, “Looks like someone forgot to mention to you guys we’re shapeshifters. Until I saw Janus doing it, I kinda forgot myself~!” Roman said, “We can defeat Janus and Remus together! We outnumber them by headcount, and you have my sword!” He drew his katana from his belt. “And my positivity!” Patton added. “And my strategy,” Logan added. Then, the Sides and the heroes looked at Virgil. He groaned, “Okay, I guess I contribute something to the team, but I’ve been put on the spot and can’t think of it!” “And I guess you guys can shapeshift like the Dark Sides?” Mark asked. “You’re all Sides, so…” “I think Ladybug has a point.” Patton grunted as his body convulsed.
Patton transforms into his frog form from "Putting Others First - Selfishness v. Selflessness Redux."
Lily Pad-ton: “No more Mr. Nice Sides!”
The Light Sides, Ladybug, and Chat Noir fight against the Dark Sides. Someone manages to push Remus into the mirror.
“HEY!” Chat shouted, getting Janus’s attention. “BILL CIPHER KNOCK-OFF!”
Chat Noir pushes Janus into the mirror, but not before Janus gives a cryptic warning:
“Remember Mark: snakes have a way of shedding their sk—” Chat pushed Janus through the mirror before he could finish his warning. Chat Noir looked to Ladybug and said, “What? Look, that was an ominous message, but do you really believe th’ lying Side knows what’s goin’ on?”
The Light Sides go into the mirror. Ladybug and Chat Noir pull Thomas out. The heroes consider breaking the mirror, but Thomas doesn’t want to make a mess of shards in his hotel room. Then Ladybug remembers he has to purify the mirror, and does so. The next day, Thomas tries to return the mirror, but he finds the thrift shop is gone. He leaves the mirror at the empty storefront, but as soon as he leaves, someone else grabs it…
Episode 2 would start with a more detailed explanation of the Cursed.
Master Fu: “Cursed Objects are much stronger than Akumas. They can create emotions where there are none, and drive a sane person mad.” Mark: “Thomas didn’t have an emotional response to the mirror, though. However, he did say he felt a pull to it. So the Cursed Objects manipulate thoughts and feelings.”
Episode 3, Gang of Grumps – the Grumps are re-Akumatized (or rather, Cursed) into their previous forms after Suzy tries to do something nice for Mark, since she knows he’s trying to maintain work-life balance as Ladybug. The other Grumps don’t know what’s going on, but Suzy insists on helping him. A mysterious woman (the villainess) gives all the Grumps matching friendship bracelets after insisting it’ll help them – she even gives a spare for Mark to wear.
After Mark rejects them, they turn into their Akumatized forms: KittyKatGaming, Starbomber, Weathidor, Animator, and the Music Master.
Ladybug manages to convince KittyKatGaming to de-Akumatize/throw off the curse, and she throws the bracelet away. Ladybug purifies it and then asks for Suzy’s help as Queen Bee.
Once Queen Bee uses Venom on Weathidor, Ladybug purifies Brian. Without their most powerful Akuma/Cursed, the Gang of Grumps quickly dissolves. Back to normal, the Grumps console Mark. Then Suzy talks to Mark alone about what’s really going on. She says she hates to keep secrets from the rest of the Grumps – especially her husband – but hopes that they’ll get alter egos soon too. The episode ends on Mark and Suzy hugging.
Episode 4, Detective Abe – This episode would take place during the filming of In Space with Markiplier. They are filming the noir scenes when Mick Lauer comes in dressed as Detective Abe. However, he’s supposed to not be wearing a hat in this scene. Mark and the rest of the cast and crew start to hear a film noir monologue. Mark realizes somehow, Mick’s hat has become a Cursed Object.
Mark screamed, “Everyone scatter!” and the crew obeyed. He ran with them. Behind them, with a FWOOM, a bubble of monochrome-colored energy appeared.
The Cursed Object turns everything in a certain area film-noir-themed. Mark transforms into Ladybug and calls Master Fu. Master Fu arrives with the additional Miraculous. Ladybug chooses the Monkey Miraculous and gives it to Amy. She uses Confusion to screw with Detective Abe; suddenly the world is covered in polka dots and everyone’s wearing Ladybug’s mask. Ladybug uses this distraction to grab Abe’s hat and purifies the Cursed Object.
Mark asks Mick what happened. Mick says he was given a new outfit by a wardrobe assistant he’d never seen before. Mark wonders if this is the same person who gave Thomas the mirror and the Grumps the friendship bracelets.
Episode 5, Furious Fu – This episode would be like the original “Furious Fu” episode. However, instead of involving an amnesiac Fu being Akumatized, a still-Miraculous-Master Fu buys a cursed paintbrush from the villainess. Su-Han still shows up and brings Fu’s status into question, especially when he finds out the Miraculous are spending a long time away from the Mother Box. Fu stands up to Su-Han when he comes looking for him. However, this allows Fu to become Cursed, channeling his anger into his transformation into Furious Fu.
Ladybug, Chat Noir, and maybe some of the other Miraculous users help to save the day. This helps to convince Su-Han that Fu made the right choice in picking Miraculous users. However, he still doubts if Fu should keep the Mother Box. He’ll be keeping an eye on Fu and the Los Angeles Miraculous users.
At the end of the (or beginning of the next) episode, Fu has a conversation with Su-Han. He tells him he thinks someone is targeting the Miraculous with cursed objects. He describes the woman who gave him the paintbrush and Su-Han can think of only one person: a woman called Huli, the Fox. She was a former student to the Celestial Guardians, much like Fu, but the Guardians saw her lust for the Miraculous’s power. They banished her from the temple, but she managed to sneak her way back in, bringing cursed objects with her. After defeating her, they sealed her in a prison cell she could not escape from. When the temple came back in “A Heist with Ladybug,” she escaped during the chaos. Su-Han warns Fu that she will be hard to defeat, even with the Miraculous’s help, so he will do all he can to get the other Celestial Guardians to come here.
Before Su-Han leaves, Fu asks his opinion: because he’s worried Huli may find out he’s the current Guardian, he asks if Su-Han thinks Mark would make a good guardian. The episode/scene ends before we hear Su-Han’s response.
Throughout this season, there are gaps in the episode numbers. Currently, there’s no episodes 6-12, 14-18, 20, 22, and 24.
Episode 13 – Suzy is captured by a Cursed, and her twin sister Jean must take Queen Bee’s place. Huli suspects Suzy is Queen Bee from the encounter with her during Gang of Grumps, so she sends a Cursed to target her specifically. Luckily, she doesn’t have the Bee Miraculous on her at the time. Ladybug retrieves the Miraculous and gives it to Jean. He explains what she needs to do to protect Suzy’s identity. Jean accepts and becomes Queen Bee for the rest of the episode.
Episode 19 – A Cursed that can multiply shows up. Would probably less like “Megaleech” and more like “Sapotis.” Ladybug gives Ross the Mouse Miraculous, thinking his ability to focus on multiple projects at once will be a benefit to him using it. Ross insists on the name Rat King, despite Mullo’s insistence that she is a mouse.
Ladybug: “Why do you want to be known as ‘Rat King’?” Rat King: “Look, Ladybug, you came to me. You know who I am. So you must know I give off rat energy.”
Episode 21 – A Cursed captures Mark, so Ethan takes up the Ladybug Miraculous. He gives himself the name Scarab Boy. When he meets up with Chat Noir, he assures him that Mark is still alive, just captured.
Episode 23, Party Crasher – Remember the previous episode, Gang of Grumps, and how it ended with the foreshadowing that more Grumps would become heroes? And then they become heroes in the following episodes? Well, it all comes to a head in this episode.
This version of “Party Crasher” would be a party hosted by the Grumps, to be a little more gender-neutral. I haven’t pinned down who Party Crasher would be, but probably someone with a tie to the Grumps.
The Grumps would all become heroes: Suzy becomes Queen Bee, Barry becomes Storm Dragon, Brian becomes Ninja Viper, Ross becomes Rat King, and Danny becomes Bunnyx. But Arin doesn’t have a Miraculous yet. Master Fu, who has managed to sneak into the party, gives Arin the Pig Miraculous. He uses Gift to show Party Crasher what he really wants: to enjoy a party with the rest of the Grumps. Mister Pig promises Party Crasher will get what he wants if he rejects the Curse and lets everyone go. Party Crasher does so, and he enjoys the party with the rest of the Grumps.
Episode 25, Heart Hunter - As the name implies, I would like to do my own take on the “Heart Hunter” episode, based on an early synopsis that stated Heart Hunter would be a two-headed dog. Of course, this serves as a distraction for the real threat Huli is about to unleash.
Huli figures out Mark is Ladybug and traps him in the cursed mirror. Ladybug, Darkiplier, Warfstache and “The Engineer” (from In Space With Markiplier) come out of the mirror. Basing this off Sanders Sides, Ladybug would represent Mark’s morality, Warfstache would be Mark’s creativity, “The Engineer” would represent Mark’s logic, and Darkiplier would represent the parts of Mark’s personality that he’s tried to hide. However, Huli made a copy of Ladybug.
Mark: “Ladybug…why are you doing this? You’re my morals.” “I’m not your morals. He is.” Ladybug gestured to someone inside the mirror. To his right, Mark saw another Ladybug.
Huli and the Ladybug copy leave Mark’s Sides alone to be trapped in the mirror.
Mark: “Well, do you have any ideas, guys…?” The other Sides looked at each other. None of them looked confident; not the smug Darkiplier, nor the heroic Ladybug, nor the bombastic Warfstache. And the Engineer… Mark didn’t even know that Side of himself existed until today, so he had no way to read him.
The Ladybug copy would string the other Miraculous Heroes along somehow. Master Fu becomes Jade Turtle to defend himself and the Mother Box.
At some point, Chat Noir sees the truth and realizes Mark’s been replaced with a Ladybug imposter. First, the Ladybug copy can’t purify Cursed items, and the Ladybug copy ONLY copies Ladybug – he can’t de-transform into Mark. Master Fu gives Chat a choice of Miraculous, and he chooses the Rooster Miraculous. Chat Noir finds the real Mark trapped in the cursed mirror and forms a plan to get him out. Meanwhile, Huli takes the Fox and Bee Miraculouses for herself.
Episode 26, Queen Fox - Chat Noir figures out what’s going on and finds the mirror. He feels he can’t just destroy it, lest he destroy Mark. So, he decides to give Jesse Cox the Rooster Miraculous.
Chat Noir: “Ya can’t give yerself a power a Kwami has, or something that’s a ‘wish.’ Ya can’t just say ‘I wish Mark and his Sides were out of the mirror.’”
Jesse gives himself the power to get people out of places they’re permanently stuck. He uses this power to get Mark and his Sides from the mirror safely.
Chat Noir: “We need all the help we can get to defeat Queen Fox.”
Mark, his Sides, Jesse, and Chat Noir join the fight against Queen Fox and the Ladybug copy. Side!Ladybug gives Mark a copy of his yo-yo to fight with. The Engineer fights with his tools. Warfstache fights with a (relatively harmless confetti-launching) gun and a butterfly knife. Darkiplier uses his powers, cane, and hand-to-hand combat to fight.
During the fight, Master Fu gives control of the Mother Box to Mark, to keep it out of Queen Fox’s hands. With all of them working together, they beat Queen Fox and the Ladybug copy. After the battle, Mark’s Sides must go back to the mirror.
“Please, Mark, before I go back…” The Engineer took Mark’s hand. “I want a name.” Mark thought hard. What would be a good name for an Engineer, besides his own? He could only think of the Engineer from Team Fortress 2. He had a name, right? What was his name…? “Dell,” Mark finally answered. “Dell…” The Engineer smiled. “I like that.”
Due to the battle, Mark’s identity is exposed through his Sides. It would be hard not to link him to the Ladybug Miraculous now. Tearfully, everyone has their Miraculous taken back, and Su-Han takes back the Mother Box.
Su-Han: “This may have been Fu’s last wish, but your identity has been exposed, as both a Holder and a Guardian.”
“That’s true…” Mark sighed. “I respect your authority, Su-Han. Take the Miraculous back to the Guardians, where they’ll be safe.” Mark allows Su-Han to take his memories, but Su-Han allows Mark to keep his memories. He also offers Mark the chance to study under the Guardians. Mark decides that maybe it would best to go back to a normal life…for now. However, Su-Han leaves the offer open to all the Los Angeles heroes.

The Miraculous AU, Miscellaneous Ideas
It’s the end of Miraculous Ladybug’s original five-season run, and my Miraculous Ladybug AU is coming to an end, too. I revised the ending of the last season because I felt it would be better to end things there. However, I still have some ideas that never made it into a specific season/special, and I’d like to share those here.
There were some villains I never got to put in, inspired by the show. I wanted to do something with Miraculer, Star Train, Kwamibuster, and Gamer 2.0.
I also wanted to feature an alternate timeline similar to Chat Blanc. I wasn’t sure what hero to feature going bad, however. I was thinking either Ladybug or Pavlin. My idea was the new timeline would grow from Mark deciding to announce his secret identity publicly.
In contrast to Pharaoh, I wanted to feature a Greek-inspired villain ala Maxie Zeus from Batman.
I also wanted to feature Cristina Vee as an Akumatized/Cursed person, since she’s Ladybug’s English voice actress.
I would have liked to do something with Jack's Egos, since I never used them. Cat-alyst is kind of based on Anti, but that's about it.
These next two ideas were inspired by Balan Wonderworld (remember that game?)
A girl who loves bugs, but was considered the class freak due to her passion scaring everyone else away. She wants to control Ladybug with her new powers.
An alternate version of Cybergirl: a lady who suddenly lost her parents, and is now too scared to love and thus wishes to no longer feel anything.
I wanted to do something similar to the plot of Season 5, with Miraculous magic mixing with technology.
I wanted to have a special placed in South Korea, with Mark visiting his family and running into a villain, similar to what happened to Marinette in the Shanghai special.
I wanted to do a multiverse plot to end things in a grander way, but I wasn’t sure how to make it work. This multiverse plot would’ve featured alternate versions of Mark that held different Miraculous, including Black Cat, Butterflier, Mouseiplier, White Rabbit, Yong, Horseiplier, Monkeyplier, Coqiplier, Barkiplier, and Piggiplier.
I also wanted to do a sideplot where Markiplier convinces Tikki to "cosplay" as Tiny Box Tim. (Actually wear a tiny box over her form with her arms and legs sticking out)

Reblogged because the ending has been revised.
The Miraculous AU, Season 3
We’ve finally made it to Season 3. I imagined Season 3 of the Miraculous AU being the last, but I’d also like to include every Miraculous being used at least once. I was also thinking about a special after that to really wrap things up.
He leaves the mirror at the empty storefront, but as soon as he leaves, someone else grabs it…
Throughout this season, there are gaps in the episode numbers. Currently, there’s no episodes 2, 4, 6-12, 14-18, 20, 22, and 24.

He leaves the mirror at the empty storefront, but as soon as he leaves, someone else grabs it…
Episode 2 starts with a more detailed explanation of the Cursed.
Episode 4, Detective Abe – This episode takes place during the filming of In Space with Markiplier.
Episode 5, Furious Fu – This episode is like the original “Furious Fu” episode.
Currently, there are no episodes 6-11, 14-18, 20, 22, and 24.
Episode 12, Plant-themed Cursed VS Plastic-themed Cursed - This episode is a mix of “Crocoduel” and “King Plastic.” Not only does it borrow the dueling Akumas/Cursed from “Crocoduel,” but this AU’s version of Purple Tigress makes her debut here.
Episode 13 – Suzy is captured by a Cursed, and her twin sister Jean must take Queen Bee’s place. Huli suspects Suzy is Queen Bee from the encounter with her during "Gang of Grumps," so she sends a Cursed to target her specifically.
Would probably be less like “Megaleech” and more like “Sapotis.” Ladybug gives Ross the Mouse Miraculous, thinking his ability to focus on multiple projects at once will be a benefit to him using it.
This version of “Party Crasher” is a party hosted by the Grumps, to be a little more gender-neutral. I haven’t pinned down who Party Crasher is, but probably someone with a tie to the Grumps.
The Grumps all become heroes: Suzy becomes Queen Bee, Barry becomes Storm Dragon, Brian becomes Ninja Viper, Ross becomes Rat King, and Danny becomes Bunnyx.
Ladybug tries to meet up with Master Fu, but Huli and the Ladybug copy she made in Episode 21 capture the real Ladybug.
Huli traps Mark in the cursed mirror. Ladybug, Darkiplier, Warfstache and “The Engineer” (from In Space With Markiplier) come out of the mirror. Basing this off Sanders Sides, Ladybug represents Mark’s morality, Warfstache represents Mark’s creativity, “The Engineer” represents Mark’s logic, and Darkiplier represents the parts of Mark’s personality that he’s tried to hide. Huli and the Ladybug copy leave Mark’s Sides alone, but not before trapping all of them in the mirror.
The Ladybug copy strings the other Miraculous Heroes along somehow.

Miraculous AU, Season 3: New Heroes
I’ll be making a post for Season 3 as soon as I can. Like I did with Season 2, this is a post about the new heroes that will be introduced this season. Most of these heroes will be permanent holders of their Miraculous unless noted.
Barry/Storm Dragon – Because he replaced Stormy Weather as the “Weathidor,” I figured Barry becomes the Dragon Hero in this AU. Perhaps he’s reluctant at first, because of Weathidor, but maybe whoever gives him the Miraculous assures him he should show he can use the power of the weather for good. His opponent probably is an Akuma/Cursed that’s “as elusive as the wind, as powerful as the flood, as swift as lightning,” like Ikari Gozen.
Ross/RubberRoss/Rat King – Ladybug gives Ross the Mouse Miraculous, thinking his ability to focus on multiple projects at once will be a benefit to him using it. Ross insists on the name Rat King, despite Mullo’s insistence that she is a mouse.
Arin Hanson/Egoraptor/Mister Pig - I wanted Arin to be the Pig Hero since Daizzi was first revealed. A pink Kwami teamed up with a guy whose favorite color is pink seemed perfect. However, Arin doesn’t seem suited for the power of positivity, being the Grump of Game Grumps. But maybe Mark gives Arin the ability specifically because he wants to bring out the best in Arin, through him bringing out the best in others.
Brian Wecht/Ninja Brian/Snake Ninja – I alluded to Brian gaining similar powers to Danny, since the Snake and Rabbit both have power over time. Honestly, I’ve associated Brian with the Snake Miraculous long before its true power was revealed, because Ninja Brian has snakes on his costume. I’m sure Brian studies how the Snake Miraculous’s powers work.
Tiffany Herrera/Cupquake/Unicorn - For a while, I've been thinking of Cupquake for the Horse Miraculous user. However, it’s been pretty much confirmed the Horse Miraculous turns you into a resistance fighter from The Matrix. But I still see Cupquake as the Horse Miraculous user. She’d look like Trinity from The Matrix, but with long white hair.
Amy Nelson/Maniac Monkey – Mark as Ladybug decides to give Amy the Monkey Miraculous in this AU. I mean, what better power to give a woman who randomly appears in Mark’s videos than the power of randomness?
Evelien Smolders/Gab Smolders/Purple Tigress – Cat Noir’s line “We’re practically family” to Purple Tigress when he first meets her made me think Jack as Chat Noir and Gab as Purple Tigress would be a great team-up in this AU.
Jean Berhow/Queen Bee – Suzy’s twin sister temporarily takes her place in an episode.
Ethan Nestor/CrankGameplays/Scarab Boy – Ethan temporarily takes Mark’s place as the Ladybug Miraculous holder in an episode.
I also wanted one episode where Tyler becomes a superhero. Tyler would gain the power of the Ox Miraculous.

The Miraculous AU, Post-Season 2 Specials
After my Miraculous AU’s second season, I wanted to release two specials before a third season. They’re important to the plot of the next season. So read on if you want some idea of what will happen before Season 3 can begin.
A Note: This special has been changed from the original version. The original version revolved around the Runaway Guys, but due to recent controversy, I felt it would be better to change things. I’ve had to change some things in this AU due to online controversies before, but this is the first time I’ve posted something and had to change it afterwards. On one hand, I’m embarrassed by this, but on the other hand, the situation is beyond my control. What I can control is what YouTubers show up in my AU. And really, this special focuses on the Ghostforce more than the YouTubers involved, so if I really had to, I could just do it with the main Ghostforce cast. I hope you enjoy this slightly altered version.
The Outside Ghostforce takes place a few weeks after the Season 2 finale. Master Fu has found what’s affecting the Butterfly Miraculous: a ghost is possessing it, and by extension, possessing those who wear it.
Fu: “We can only handle the Butterfly Miraculous safely because we are already bonded to a Miraculous.”
While researching ghosts, Master Fu found out about a team of heroes who exclusively fight ghosts. It turns out they are based in the UK, fighting ghostly threats mostly in the London area. Surely, these ghost hunters can safely contain the ghost possessing the Butterfly Miraculous.
Master Fu has contacted someone on the team, but he has to meet them there. He decides it will be safer if Ladybug and Chat Noir come with him. So Mark, Jack, and Master Fu take a flight to London. The Miraculous Holders still in LA (Dodger, Ethan, and Suzy) cover for Mark and Jack while they’re gone. Master Fu takes the Mother Box with him, for safety. He manages to bring it on the plane as a carry-on. As they wait for the flight:
Jack: “Goin’ halfway around the world to get the Butterfly Miraculous exorcised…”
Mark: “Considering all the trouble it’s put us through these past couple years, I’d say it’s worth it.”
Jack: “I know. It’s just a little tiresome. Been a while since we’ve been ‘on tour,’ so to speak.”
To get familiar with Outside Xbox, they watch Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra videos. Soon they find the Outside Xtra video on “7 Distracting Youtuber Cameos.” They playfully argue who’s the more distracting Youtuber until they need to board the plane.
Finally, they reach their destination. Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Jade Turtle are all “in uniform.” Their contact is Andy Farrant of Outside Xbox, and he introduces them to the Outside Ghostforce: himself, Mike Channell, Jane Douglas, Luke Westaway, and Ellen Rose. Ellen isn’t there, however, as she’s busy working on the latest Outside Xtra video. At some point in the conversation, Mike says that maybe the Miraculous Heroes should show who they really are. Jade Turtle hesitates, but everyone else seems to agree that this is a good idea.
Ladybug: “I hope they know who we are when we de-transform, but to them, you’ll just be a random old man.”
After they all de-transform, Markiplier introduces himself, JackSepticEye, and Master Fu. Andy takes them to the secret lab they have underneath Oxbox Headquarters to show off the tame ghosts they use to become superheroes.
Andy + Greasemonkey = Slinger. Shoots a grease-like substance from his twin pistols. Greasemonkey looks like a green monkey with black hair/fur. It sometimes sits on Andy’s shoulder when it’s not boosted.
Mike + Dragoyle = Bomber. Creates bombs of sticky goo. Dragoyle looks like the one from the Ghostforce show, but yellow/gold instead of green.
Jane + Tiefling = Caster. Creates portals like Myst. Tiefling looks like an imp in its small form, and a demon in its boosted form.
Luke explains that he doesn’t have a secret identity because he’s the “guy in the chair” who helps them from afar.
Jack: “Why not join them out in the fray? Ya seem capable.”
Luke: “I just…freeze up, even in the simulations. All this knowledge about hunting and fighting ghosts, but every time I face an unfriendly one, I feel like can’t move.”
Mark, Jack, and Master Fu see some of the ghosts the team have in their collection. Ellen lists off the names of ghosts they’ve fought in the past. Their names are all some sort of pun.
Andy: “I let Ellen name the ghosts. Which is a mistake.”
Master Fu decides now is the time to show why they’re here: He thinks the Butterfly Miraculous is being possessed by the spirit of someone who has opposed the Miraculous users in the past. The Oxbox crew explain that they don’t usually deal with dead people ghosts, but there are exceptions. The ghosts they usually handle are more like youkai, or ectoplasmic animals.
Jane: “Ghosts can inhabit artifacts with significance. They especially like jewelry.”
Luke: “As ancient and significant jewelry, Miraculous are a prime ghost magnet.”
Fu believes the name of the person possessing the Butterfly Miraculous is Malcontis. He was locked up for life by the Guardians and died in their prison. He wants to use the wish of the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous to bring himself back to life.
Jack exclaimed, “Wait, you let this guy rot for life in a Miraculous prison!?”
Master Fu nodded. “The Guardians would do anything to protect the Miraculous. That includes locking up the people they viewed as dangerous threats to their safety.”
“Morality aside, this Malcontis sounds like he’ll do anything to get the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous,” Mark pointed out.
The Oxbox crew agree to help remove Malcontis from the Butterfly Miraculous safely. However, they throw Mark, Jack, and Master Fu out of the lab, not wanting them to interfere with the process. Master Fu warns them to be careful when handling the Miraculous. Jane assures him they won’t damage the Butterfly Miraculous just to let Malcontis out.
Luke reveals he’s created a machine that can pull a ghost out of an object, but they need to be ready for the ghost to attack. The Outside Xbox members transform into The Outside Ghostforce: Andy becomes Slinger, Mike becomes Bomber, and Jane becomes Caster.
With the help of Luke’s machine, the ghost finally comes out, and Malcontis becomes Malmorpho. Absorbing the powers of the Butterfly Miraculous (due to being trapped in there so long), he’s able to transform Slinger, Bomber, and Caster. Andy gets turned into a chair, Mike gets turned into a lizard, and Jane starts to glitch out. Malmorpho leaves Luke alone, not seeing him as a threat, but he leaves the lab to run amok.
Luke calls Ellen, but is unable to call Mark or Jack to warn them (he didn’t get their numbers!) Luke manages to transform the Ghostforce back, revealing that Malmorpho’s transformations can be easily reversed via touch. They still have to find Mark, Jack, and Master Fu; and Malmorpho before he boosts.
The Outside Ghostforce find the Miraculous users haven’t gotten far. Unfortunately, Malmorpho has already transformed them. Mark is a ladybug, Jack is a black cat, and Master Fu is a turtle. Slinger finds Mark, Caster finds Jack, and Bomber finds Master Fu (he wipes his hands off afterward.) Just like with them, the Miraculous users turn back upon being touched. However, Malmorpho boosts, and now his transformations can’t easily be reversed.
Thankfully, Ellen shows up soon after. She’s a reserve member. Her hero name is Ghostcat.
Now that Malmorpho is boosted, The Outside Ghostforce needs everyone’s help: Ghostcat, Ladybug, Chat Noir, Jade Turtle, and Luke as the “guy in the chair.” Malmorpho is defeated when he’s trapped in a very tight version of Jade Turtle’s Shell-ter. After defeating Malmorpho, Ladybug declares:
“The Age of Akumas may be over, but a new age of Miraculous Heroes has just begun!”
After the battle, Mark, Jack, and Master Fu get a call from Ethan. He asks if their flight is roundtrip, and they answer no, since they didn’t know how long the process would take. Ethan tells them this is good, because he’s found a Sentimonster in Paris.
A Heist with Ladybug
A Heist with Ladybug takes place right after The Outside Ghostforce. It starts with a flashback to while Mark, Jack, and Master Fu were in London: Ethan is scrolling through news sites and finds an article about a statue being unveiled at the Louvre, along with some other ancient Chinese artifacts. He drops his phone in shock when he sees the statue.
Ethan shows Mark, Jack, and Master Fu the statue. Fu confirms it’s a Sentimonster…that he created. Fu goes into his mysterious past: separated from his family, forced to become a guardian, failing a test to become a guardian…and summoning an out-of-control, Miraculous-hungry Sentimonster.
The Sentimonster destroyed the temple where the Miraculous were kept, but Fu escaped with a grimoire and the Mother Box. He lost the grimoire, Butterfly Miraculous, and Peacock Miraculous, but luckily, he’s recovered them in the present day. However, he hoped the Sentimonster would be gone forever. Now they need to go to Paris to stop it.
Mark, Jack, Ethan, and Master Fu travel to Paris and meet up at the airport. Master Fu still has the Mothe Box with him, for safety. They arrive at night and sleep at a hotel. They go sight-seeing the next day, getting a look of the Louvre’s interior to better sneak in.
That night, Mark, Jack, and Pavlin sneak into the Louvre. They give their Miraculous to Master Fu to be used as “bait” for the Sentimonster once it’s freed. Since they won’t be going in as Ladybug and Chat Noir, Mark and Jack have disguised themselves with the SAME Spider-Man costume.
Jack: “Well, one of us has to change.”
Mark: "Well, it ain't gonna be me!"
Mark turns Jack’s Spider-Man costume inside-out so the black is on the outside.
Mark: “Here, you can be Spider-Noir.”
They manage to get to the Sentimonster safely, and Pavlin releases it from its slumber. He tries to grab the Amok that makes up Feast, but is having a hard time concentrating when the Sentimonster keeps moving around, hungry for Miraculous. Feast spots another Chinese artifact on display – a wok – and eats it. The wok acts the same way as an Akuma does, making Feast bigger and hungrier, but the Miraculous Heroes aren’t sure why yet. Pavlin manages to keep Feast from attacking him, but it breaks out of the museum.
Pavlin calls Master Fu and says he needs help with Feast. Master Fu transforms into Jade Turtle and willingly becomes bait for Feast. The Sentimonster is his mistake, and he should own up to it. He rides around Paris, holding the Miracle Box, while Mark and Jack try to keep up. Jade Turtle manages to get it under the Eiffel Tower, where he, Pavlin, Mark, and Jack surround it.
Since Feast is now trapped, Mark and Jack take their Miraculous back. They transform and Ladybug uses Lucky Charm to summon a metal detector. Jade Turtle realizes his staff was partially metal, so he tells Ladybug to use the metal detector to find the staff. Feast eats them and Ladybug uses the metal detector to locate the staff that made Feast in the first place. Chat Noir uses Cataclysm on the staff and destroys Feast.
With the Amok released, Ladybug purifies it. Then there’s the wok, which Master Fu realizes is a cursed artifact. The new Miraculous Heroes have encountered one before, in the Season 2 episode “Timetagger.” Ladybug purifies it too, and uses his Miraculous Ladybug to return it to the museum.
The four heroes go back to their hotel room for the night. In the morning, Ethan finds a text alert on his phone: a temple in the Tibetan mountains that went missing 172 years ago has mysteriously reappeared, along with the monks inside. The temple has the same symbol on it as the one on the Miracle Box. Ethan shows Mark, Jack, and Master Fu the news. Master Fu is relieved to find his mistake undone. He decides that one day, he will visit the temple and explain himself to the monks.

The Miraculous AU, Season 2
As Season 5 of Miraculous Ladybug begins, it’s time to tell you how Season 2 of the Miraculous Youtuber AU would’ve gone. I would’ve subtitled it “Age of Akumas.” Yes, as a reference to “Age of Ultron.” This is a recent edit, as the title before was the clunkier “Miraculous Heroes Need Miraculous Villains.”
Episode 1, Purple Guy – The episode takes place where the Season 1 Finale left off. Mark and Jack are meeting Master Fu. Mark has met him some time ago, but this is Jack’s first time. Fu has been watching their progress against Space Butterfly from afar, but Mark explains that Jesse seems innocent. Nooroo also seems innocent, and though Kwamis can act on instinct, no Kwami has ever acted completely evil.
Master Fu frowned. “If it’s not the heart of the wielder, nor the heart of the Kwami, then what is making anyone who wields Nooroo’s power act so…strange?”
Fu suggests they study the Butterfly Miraculous closer to get an idea of where this behavior’s coming from. Just one problem: Ladybug and Chat Noir gave the Butterfly Miraculous to the police as evidence. Fu says they should try to get it back from the police as soon as possible, but if they can’t find it… he gives them each a Miraculous to give to someone else. Mark gets the Peacock Miraculous, and Jack gets the Bee Miraculous. After Mark and Jack leave, Fu takes out the Fox Miraculous to give to someone of his choice.
Meanwhile, MatPat is feeling sour about the whole “friend stole the book I was going to use to research my video” thing. Feeling this irritation, Purple Guard claims her first victim. She creatively names her new Akuma Purple Guy. This Akuma is similar to the Collector, in that he can store anything into the book which holds his Akuma. He first uses his power to “collect” his wife Stephanie and his son Ollie.
Ladybug and Chat Noir go back to the police station, but find that the Butterfly Miraculous is missing from the evidence room. They also find that nobody has seen Violet for a while… It’s then that the police get a report of an Akuma.
Ladybug and Chat Noir head off to the Akuma’s last reported location, and meet Purple Guy. Ladybug summons his Lucky Charm, but Purple Guy uses his book to “collect” it.
Then Ladybug realizes he’s not running out of power. He summons another Lucky Charm, a pedal like in “The Collector.” Ladybug uses it to fill up the rest of Purple Guy’s book before destroying it and the Akuma inside. After freeing him from evil, MatPat remembers Purple Guard’s name. The episode ends with Fu dropping off the Fox Miraculous at Dodger’s house.
Episode 2, Glamoura – A couple weeks after Violet’s disappearance, nobody has seen her. The police, Ladybug, and Chat Noir have been checking her address, but she hasn’t reappeared. Ladybug and Chat Noir are heading back from a patrol when they run into a fox heroine helping someone. She says she was chosen by someone else, but knows she’s meant to help Ladybug and Chat Noir.
“Master Fu must’ve chosen her,” Ladybug whispered. “I still haven’t given my Miraculous out yet.”
“Me neither,” Chat Noir whispered back. “I have some people in mind, but I just gotta find the right time to give it to them.”
The fox heroine helps out with more problems around Los Angeles, before Ladybug and Chat Noir can even get there. From home, Dodger finds the news reporting on another superhero appearing – one who seems to be stealing her identity! Dodger transforms into Foxfoot and finds Ladybug and Chat Noir. She insists she’s the real fox hero, and Glamoura is the fake. It’s after the two foxes argue for a little bit that Ladybug and Chat Noir realize they’ve never seen Glamoura use a unique ability, like their Lucky Charm and Cataclysm. When they ask about it, Foxfoot shows off her Mirage ability. Glamoura shows off a bigger and flashier version of her own Mirage ability.
Not long after, Foxfoot’s Miraculous beeps. This confirms to Ladybug and Chat Noir that she’s the real fox hero, while Glamoura is an Akuma. Ladybug and Chat Noir quickly defeat Glamoura before Foxfoot changes back.
The final scene is Dodger meeting with Jesse Cox sometime after. She reveals herself as Foxfoot to him, and says she’ll do whatever it takes to defeat this new Butterfly Miraculous user.
Episode 3, Null – The episode starts with Ethan receiving a letter:
Dear Mister Ethan Nestor,
I have decided to give you the Peacock Miraculous. With it, you will have the power to create monsters from an ally’s emotions. You will use this power for the greater good, and to help the other Miraculous wielders. I hope I have made the right choice in trusting you with this.
There was no signature, but the ladybug mark where it would be told Ethan exactly who the letter was from.
It’s only after Ladybug gives Ethan the Peacock Miraculous that Master Fu tells him that the Peacock Miraculous was repaired after its last use. Mark is angry at Fu, but he’s also worried about when Ethan will decide it’s the best time to use his new powers.
Sometime after, an Akuma called Null appears. This Akuma, living up to their name, nullifies Ladybug’s powers. Seeing that Ladybug has lost his abilities, Ethan becomes Pavlin and gives Ladybug a ladybug Sentimonster.
With the ladybug Sentimonster, Ladybug can fly around. He defeats Null with the Sentimonster’s help. Then he flies the ladybug Sentimonster back to Ethan’s, to make sure Ethan is feeling okay.
“Are you alright?”
“Of course I’m alright. I-I’ve been sitting on the sidelines the entire battle while you’ve been kicking Null’s butt! Are you alright?”
Before answering, Ladybug actually gave his status some thought. The day was saved, one of his friends could now fight by his side, and Ethan used his powers to save Ladybug’s life. “You know what? I’m doing better than okay. I’m great.”
Ladybug leaves the Peacock Miraculous with Ethan, knowing it’s in good hands.
Episode 4, Dungeon Master – In a park, Mark and Jack wonder if they should do anything D&D-related on their channels. It seems like a lot of gaming channels have been picking it up. Then, they hear an explosion go off in part of the park as a forcefield surrounds it. Fortunately, Mark and Jack are outside, but they watch as people flee from the forcefield. Assuming it’s an Akuma from the civilians’ reactions, Mark and Jack transform behind some trees and head through the forcefield.
Inside the forcefield, Ladybug and Chat Noir’s clothes instantly change to something out of a Medieval AU. Ladybug is dressed in armor and Chat Noir is in a cloak with cat ears. In fact, there’s a medieval village in the middle of the forcefield. Ladybug and Chat Noir head there first. They find Suzy (of Game Grumps) amongst the civilians. She explains a Beholder took her husband, Arin.
Suzy: “I’m glad that I wasn’t snatched up by the Beholder, but now that thing has my husband!”
Suzy asks to join Ladybug and Chat Noir, in case she can help. On the way to the Beholder’s lair, the trio are attacked by a gang of bears. Chat Noir using Cataclysm on the enemies “breaks” the encounter hard enough that it makes an angered Dungeon Master appear. He taunts them by saying that he’s the master of their fates and now that they’re in his game, they’ll have to play by his rules. He resets the encounter using his playing screen, this time with bears that Chat Noir can’t use Cataclysm on. Ladybug uses Lucky Charm to get through the encounter, but the Dungeon Master accepts this as a valid strategy.
Before they continue, Chat Noir decides to give Suzy the Bee Miraculous. She transforms and dubs herself Queen Bee. The three of them create a plan of attack against Dungeon Master: Ladybug and Chat Noir will distract him while Queen Bee will sneak up from behind. Dungeon Master notices that Suzy is absent.
Dungeon Master: “Didn’t you have a lady friend accompanying you last time we saw each other? You should keep track of your playing pieces, Ladybug.”
Ladybug: “I can keep track of my pieces, Dungeon Master. Just make sure yours stay on the board.”
The Beholder shows up, one of its eye-stalks holding Arin Henson. Ladybug and Chat Noir keep the Beholder occupied, while Queen Bee sneaks up on Dungeon Master. He has little time to counterattack when she activates Venom and freezes him. Since he’s in charge of the Beholder’s attacks, it freezes up too. Ladybug tears up Dungeon Master’s game screen, and purifies the Akuma.
Dungeon Master turns out to be none other than Matthew Mercer.
Episode 5, Backwarder – Master Fu is found by an old friend, Marianne, who is sad he never came back for her. In this AU, Master Fu managed to get to England, with all the Miraculous from the Mother Box except the Butterfly Miraculous. In the present day, Marianne explains after seeing the Miraculous being used in Los Angeles, she knew Fu would be there. Even when Marianne is there, he’s unable to explain why he never even tried to contact her.
She is Akumatized into Backwarder, as per canon. However, to fight her, Master Fu joins Ladybug and Chat Noir as Jade Turtle.
Episode 6, Giant Akuma - An Akuma steals other people’s height. The episode is like “Sole Crusher,” but instead of absorbing people to gain height, the victims are shrunk down. Ladybug and Chat Noir are shrunk down too, and must figure out how to deal with the bigger-than-usual Akuma.
Episode 7, Mama Doom – It is Mark’s birthday (June 29) and his mom arrives to celebrate it with him. In a private moment, she brings up the Akuma attacks and worries that he’ll be targeted. She suggests that he should come back to Ohio until the Akumas are dealt with, but Mark says he needs to stay here, without explaining he’s Ladybug. Mark’s mom is still worried, and Purple Guard Akumatizes her into Mama Doom.
Like “Befana” and “Qilin,” I wanted to base Mama Doom on a mythological creature. Right now, I’m thinking of Mama Doom being based on the Haechi, a Korean monster that has the power to judge right and wrong.
After Ladybug and Chat Noir defeat Mama Doom, Mark and his mom have another private moment. Even though he doesn’t directly tell her, Mark’s mom realizes that her son is Ladybug.
Episode 8, Filmmaker Akuma - A filmmaker who wants to create an accurate version of Ladybug and Chat Noir’s adventures gets Akumatized. Now they seek out the real superheroes to make the film as “accurate” as possible.
Episode 9, Preserver - At a convention, an Akuma uses a comic book sleeve to bring things out from inside the comics. Mark and Jack must hide their secret identities from fans while also battling the Akuma. The Akuma is defeated when Ladybug uses a Lucky Charm comic to reproduce a Hostess Fruit Pies ad where the villain is defeated in exchange for a taste of the product.
“LUCKY CHARM!” Ladybug threw his yo-yo into the air, and from it appeared… a ladybug-dotted comic book. He grabbed it and asked, “A comic book?”
“What’s inside?” Chat Noir also asked.
Ladybug flipped through the pages, and found all had the same one-page comic. He smiled as he realized how the Lucky Charm was intended to be used. “Just what we need.”
After this, there are gaps in the episode numbers. Currently, there are no episodes 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, or 20-22.
Episode 11, Cybergirl – This is the other part of “A friend and I made Akumatized versions of ourselves,” and Cybergirl is based on me. However, I wanted to change up part of the roleplay this was based on to take cues from the episode “Reflekdoll.”
Mark and Jack are turned into mindless robots by the Akuma. Hearing Plagg and Tikki calling out to them sets them free from Cybergirl’s control. However, Plagg finds Mark and Tikki finds Jack. They use the others’ powers to save the day. Jack can’t help but notice Ladybug’s powers bear a certain resemblance to a friendly neighborhood hero:
Mark: "Please, I'm definitely not Spider-Man."
Jack: "Yeah, ya are! The bug-theming, swingin' and throwin’ stuff all over the place with your yo-yo, skin-tight suit- You're the Spider-Man, Mark!"
Though they save the day and get their normal powersets back afterwards, Jack finds he really likes being Spider-Man/Ladybug…
Episode 14, Neat Freak – A cleaning lady gets Akumatized, flooding the city to clean it up. Mark must face his greatest fear.
This episode is similar to “Syren.” However, Chat Noir goes to Master Fu to get something to help him swim through the ocean that is now Los Angeles. Still needing the “tear of joy” for the power potion recipes, Jack gets Master Fu to laugh with one of his own videos. With the recipes unlocked, Aqua Noir goes to Mark’s apartment to give some to him. Aqua Bug and Aqua Noir defeat Neat Freak together. Aqua Bug uses a cement mix with the water to trap Neat Freak.
Episode 17, Ice Akuma – An ice sculptor is Akumatized, and turns Los Angeles into an icy art piece.
Like the Neat Freak episode, this would be a chance to use Ladyice and Ice Cat. I was thinking it could also be the Christmas special, and take place on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day.
Episode 19, Timetagger – Ladybug and Chat Noir are trapped between two time-travelers from the future, one of whom has been sent to steal their Miraculous.
Like the Miraculous Ladybug episode “Timetagger,” this episode involves a hero named Bunnyx and a villain named Timetagger. Bunnyx is Danny from some time in the future. Timetagger is a teenage Audrey, Brian’s daughter, also from some time in the future. It turns out she’s not Akumatized, but she’s been affected by a “cursed object.” The “cursed object” is my own answer to “If the Butterfly Miraculous is meant for good, what did Miraculous Users used to fight?”
Episode 23, Rubberina – A ballerina obsessed with image injures herself after tripping during a ballet performance. In her sadness, she’s transformed into Rubberina, an Akuma with stretching abilities. She kidnaps Chat Noir. He almost uses Cataclysm in desperation on her, but he decides to wait for rescue instead. Rubberina is defeated when Queen Bee uses Venom on her.
Episode 24, Sleepstalker – An episode where the characters face their greatest fears.
This episode is based on “Sandboy.” The other Kwamis try to find Nooroo on his birthday, and are separated from their owners for the night. While they search, they realize that someone has been Akumatized. Sleepstalker makes people’s fears come to life. I’m not sure what Ethan and Suzy fear, but:
Mark/Ladybug's fear: Drowning in his own room.
Jack/Chat Noir's fear: Ladybug angry at him for wanting his powers. Jack manages to subdue Ladybug on his own, before Plagg or Mark see.
Dodger/Foxfoot's fear: Clarke being kidnapped; this convinces her to stop messing around and take away Purple Guard's powers once and for all.
Because Dodger wants to stop messing around, she forces her teammates to all transform back together after they defeat the Akuma. Then, they all head to Master Fu’s to learn the full truth of their situation.
Dodger frowned. “Purple Guard, whoever she is, made me think Clarke was gone. There’s no messing around anymore: we take this bitch head-on.”
Episode 25, Cat-alyst (Heroes’ Day Part 1) – To start the episode, Dodger explains everything they know so far.
Ethan said, “So, let’s get this all straight…” Then he frowned. “Wait, I’m not good at speeches. Can someone else do it?”
Dodger stepped forward. “I will. Let’s all get this straight: the Butterfly Miraculous fell into the wrong hands until it ended up in Los Angeles. Then, Mark and Jack were chosen to become Ladybug and Chat Noir. Jack screwed up and told Ladybug his identity anyway because he’d figured out Mark was Ladybug. Months later, the Butterfly Miraculous is given to a new owner because Mark and Jack screwed up. So Miraculous Master decides to let others become superheroes in order to get the Butterfly Miraculous back once and for all.
“This Miraculous Master chooses me, but I don’t know who any of you are. Ladybug chooses Ethan, but he doesn’t know his friend chose him. Chat Noir chooses Suzy, but she doesn’t know Chat Noir’s identity, either. All this leads to last night, where almost all of us were consumed by nightmares. So now we’re figuring out how to nip Purple Guard in the bud.”
Master Fu blinked as Ethan summarized everything, and then nodded. “Yes, that seems to be the course of events up until now.” Mark, Jack, Ethan, Suzy, and Dodger had met up with Master Fu; Mark and Jack explained everything, seeing no point in keeping Master Fu a secret anymore. “But there were reasons to keep secrets up until now!”
“Like what, old-timer!?” Dodger snapped, still angry about what happened last night.
Master Fu sighed. “I am…used to recruiting adolescents, those who are not good at keeping secrets. However, you are adults, and you’ve managed to keep work-life balance thus far. If our greatest adversary can keep her location secret, you can keep your identities secret.”
Now that their secret identities are revealed, they decide to figure out what to do next. Heroes’ Day is coming up, a day where Los Angelinos do good deeds to honor their superheroes. Purple Guard HAS to strike then, so the heroes decide that as they participate on this day, they’ll be on the lookout for Akumas.
Soon, Heroes’ Day comes. Mark’s friends are getting ready to do good deeds like charity streams, but Mark manages to avoid them so he can become Ladybug. Ethan, Dodger, and Suzy do the same so they can attend a parade for the superheroes. But Chat Noir doesn’t make it…
Jack is jealous of the attention Ladybug’s getting. Chat Noir’s getting attention for Heroes’ Day too, but not as much. Jack is feeling like he should’ve been Ladybug… a feeling Purple Guard is able to use to her advantage. Despite Plagg and Jack trying to fight Purple Guard off, Jack is Akumatized into Cat-alyst.
Jack: “Purple Guard, I accept your offer! Plagg, claws out!”
Cat-alyst tries to fight Ladybug at the parade. Ladybug summons his Lucky Charm, but Cat-alyst Cataclysms Ladybug, hurting him and shocking the crowd watching. The others (Pavlin, Queen Bee, and Foxfoot) manage to fend Cat-alyst off, but the damage is already done, and the people of Los Angeles have fallen into despair. Pavlin, Queen Bee, and Foxfoot take Ladybug somewhere safe. Ladybug uses Miraculous Ladybug to heal himself. He tells the others they need to rescue Chat Noir.
Cat-alyst returns to Purple Guard. He’s sorry he didn’t get the Ladybug Miraculous, but Purple Guard assures him it’s fine – he served his purpose. Purple Guard takes the Akuma and Chat Noir’s ring. When Jack realizes what’s going on, it’s already too late:
She said, “Nooroo, Plagg, unify!” Her suit turned pure black, with purple accents and claws. Now she wielded a staff and her cane. She tapped more butterflies with her staff, turning them into jet black Akumas.
As the Akumas multiplied thanks to his unwilling assistance, Jack muttered, “Oh fuck.”
Episode 26, Dark Guard (Heroes’ Day Part 2) – Part 2 starts where Part 1 left off:
“Fly away my little Akumas!” Dark Guard announced. “Find the Los Angelinos as they despair over the Miraculous Heroes’ final hour, and corrupt their hearts!”
“OH FUCK!” Jack shouted, still shocked of what he’d helped Purple Guard accomplish.
“Will you shut up!?” Dark Guard put her weapons down and grabbed Jack by the collar of his shirt, with a surprising amount of strength. Her strength and agility seemed to be enhanced from dual-wielding the Butterfly and Cat Miraculous. “In fact, I think I should shut you up…permanently.” She walked over to the open window. “You’re of no use to me now since I’ve taken your Miraculous.”
Jack’s suppressed fear of heights kicked in the second he looked down. “C-Can’t you Akumatize me again? Livin’ without the guilt of that would be so much better.”
Dark Guard throws Jack off the building, but Ladybug riding a ladybug Sentimonster saves him. Jack is relieved, but confused, to see Ladybug’s still alive.
“Miraculous Ladybug fixed the injury. It’s designed to reverse something a vill- an Akuma- does. Sorry, you’re not the villain. Look, when we get back to Master Fu’s, can you please just tell us what’s going on?”
They get back to Master Fu’s shop and watch the news.
“Ladybug defeated, and Chat Noir in the clutches of the terrible Purple Guard: this is LA’s worst nightmare!” Before the reporter could continue, the camera swerved to a swarm of black butterflies overhead. One of them landed on the reporter’s microphone, Akumatizing her immediately. She got up, now Prime Queen, and announced, “Dear viewers, it has come to my attention we should prepare for the coming of our new glorious leader, Dark Guard!”
Jack reacted by hiding his face in his hands. “Just…turn it off. I get the point.”
Mark turned off the television in the massage parlor and explained to Jack, “Thanks to you we have…” He did the math in his head. “Like, 44 former Akumas running around! You’re lucky they seem to only be going after previous Akuma victims, or we could have a ton more to deal with.”
I estimated 43 Akumas because there were 25 in the first season, 24 (speculated) in the second season, minus 3 visiting Akumas (Wade, Bob, and Jon), minus 2 Heroes-turned-Akumas (Ethan and Suzy), and minus one “Cursed” from the future (Audrey/Timetagger.) Thoroughly explaining how much Jack’s Akumatization has screwed things up doesn’t make him feel any better. Jack explains why he’s been feeling this way, including his jealousy towards Ladybug’s powers, and feeling like he’s being overshadowed by his teammates.
Jack: “Even after everything that’s happened… part of me still wants to be Ladybug.”
Mark: “I know that won’t go away easily, but thanks for talking about it.”
Jack: “Yeah, I’m glad to tell you.”
Fu says Ladybug needs to get back out there and fight the Akumas, but Mark knows he needs help.
“Too many people have been Akumatized,” Mark pointed out. “I’d be an idiot to fight them alone. I know he screwed up, but please let Jack take up another Miraculous. We need all the help we can get.”
“Mark’s right,” Jack said. “I can’t run from my mistakes. I need to fix what Cat-alyst started: get the Cat Miraculous, get the Butterfly Miraculous, and stop Dark Guard once and for all.”
Reminded of his own mistakes, Fu allows Jack to take the Turtle Miraculous itself.
“Sean McLoughlin, this is the Miraculous of the Turtle.” Master Fu showed him the jade bracelet he usually wore. “It grants the power of protection. You will use it for the greater good, then return it to me. I hope I can trust you this time.”
Jack took a deep breath and put the bracelet on. Wayzz came to his side and said, “All you have to do is say, ‘Wayzz, shell on.’”
Jack wouldn’t mangle the Kwami’s activation phrase this time: “Wayzz, shell on!”
Jack’s Turtle Hero form would probably be named Carapace, and look similar to Carapace from the show.
“Cool, I look like Captain America!” Jack smiled. “Maybe a little bit of Borderlands Athena too.”
The Miraculous Heroes split up to cover more ground. Ladybug runs into Invisibelle, and de-Akumatizes her into Selene.
“Ladybug?!” Selene gasped as she got up. “The real Ladybug?”
Ladybug scoffed. “Of course it’s me.”
“I thought you were hurt by Chat Noir. I thought he was Akumatized. He swore allegiance to Purple Guard!”
Ladybug couldn’t let Selene lose hope. “Chat Noir is fine. He made a mistake, but he’s not Cat-alyst anymore. We can fix everything, you’ll see!”
Selene: “I’ll tell people not to lose hope. The real Ladybug and Chat Noir are out there, still going strong!”
Ladybug: “It is Heroes’ Day, after all. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
While filming Dark Guard’s takeover, Prime Queen unintentionally broadcasts Ladybug and his friends defeating and purifying multiple villains. Dark Guard realizes this will cause the non-Akumatized Los Angelinos to unite, so she tells Prime Queen to “Turn that shit off!”
The citizens do unite, helping however they can. Soon, the Miraculous Heroes are storming Dark Guard’s fortress, the Wilshire Grand Center. Carapace makes it to the top first, and has a one-on-one battle with Dark Guard. Their battle is interrupted by…
Chat Noir!? This Chat Noir turns out to be a Sentimonster, but it helps keep Dark Guard occupied until all the other heroes can arrive. Carapace and Ladybug talk down Dark Guard, and point out that Violet helped them against an Akuma once.
Something breaks through to Violet. Dark Guard gives the Butterfly and Black Cat Miraculous to Ladybug and Carapace. Like Jesse before her, she’s not entirely sure what she was doing, but allows herself to be arrested and interrogated. Thankfully, the Butterfly Miraculous makes it back to the Mother Box this time. However, it’s still somehow causing evil to be unleashed. Fu decides to do some research into what the source could be of this evil. For now, Mark, Jack, and the other Miraculous users take a break from their superhero lives.

Miraculous AU, Season 2: New Heroes
So I want to make a post about Season 2, but before we get into the plot, I want to make a post about the new heroes that will be introduced this season. Most of these heroes will be permanent holders of their Miraculous unless noted.
Suzy Berhow/Mortm3r/Queen Bee – A fellow Grump, fashionista, and insect-lover, Suzy is perfect as the holder of the Bee Miraculous. Jack chooses her after an Akuma traps him, Mark, and the other Grumps together.
Ethan Nestor/CrankGameplays/Pavlin – One of Mark’s closest friends. The power of the Peacock Miraculous allows him to tap into his companion’s emotions to create temporary allies for them. Mark chooses him because of their close bond.
Brooke “Dodger” Leigh Lawson Thorne/PressHeartToContinue/Foxfoot – Associated with foxes (or cats), Dodger becomes the holder of the Fox Miraculous. I’ve changed Dodger’s superhero name from Foxheart to Foxleap to Foxfoot; I hope I keep the latter. Master Fu chooses her for the fox motif and her friendship with Jesse Cox.
Leigh Daniel "Danny" Avidan/Danny Sexbang/Bunnyx – Danny is given the Rabbit Miraculous sometime in the future, but comes back for an episode based on “Timetagger.” This version of Danny is older, and maybe wiser. He was given the Rabbit Miraculous because he seems to be the only one in Mark’s circle that can understand different timelines.
Perhaps the other half of Danny’s band will be given similar powers? ;)

The Rest of the Miraculous AU, Season 1
Hey. I don’t post here very often anymore, but I wanted to get this out here:
I’m not sure if I can continue the Miraculous YouTuber AU.
There are many reasons for this. The main one is that I haven’t liked how slow progress has been. I’ve posted four chapters in four years. But I have plans for three seasons (along with some specials) worth of story. I would force myself to sit down and write the thing, but I don’t know if that would help me get out the story I want to tell. I’d rather focus on other projects, fandom and personal. I’d also like to create more art for Miraculous, since art takes less time than writing for me.
But if anyone wants to know about the three seasons I’ve got planned out, I want to give them an idea where the story would’ve gone. The whole story is a work in progress, and maybe writing this will help? I don’t know.
If you don't have a clue what I'm talking about, read the story here.
Here’s how the rest of Season One would’ve gone:
Episode 5, Rapunzilla - Rapunzilla took inspiration from Rapunzel, obviously, but also killer barbers like Sweeney Todd. After a hair stylist is threatened with foreclosure when she's not being able to pay fees for her shop, she gets Akumatized. Her Akuma is in her long blonde hair, and it acts as an extra limb. She wields two old-fashioned straight razors.
The fight between her versus Ladybug and Chat Noir would’ve been tense. Not only are their lives at stake, but so is their hair! Both Chat Noir and Ladybug get shaved during the fight. Ladybug uses his yo-yo to grab Rapunzilla’s hair during the fight, but Rapunzilla uses her hair to throw Ladybug into a dumpster. She captures Chat Noir and takes him back to her barbershop. Then she taunts him:
Rapunzilla: “I’ve only cut a guy shaving ten times…and I’m not afraid to make it eleven.”
Chat Noir: "And ten's a nice, round number, don't ya think? I mean, saying you've cut eleven people doesn't have the best ring to it."
Space Butterfly: “Maybe he has a point. Grab his Miraculous while you have the chance!”
Ladybug gets back in the nick of time. He uses his Lucky Charm and it summons an electric razor. He realizes the Akuma must be in her hair, and after some more fighting, gets close enough to shave it off. Then he captures the Akuma.
Mark and Jack’s hair is restored via Miraculous Ladybug. Perhaps there would be an epilogue with the hair stylist working at some sort of chain barbershop, but she quickly makes friends with the younger stylists.
Episode 6, Plague Doctor – This one kept getting delayed because pandemic. If you don’t want to read about illness right now, scroll to the next episode. This was originally gonna be Episode 4, but once the pandemic hit, I’ve been pushing it back. At the rate things have been going, I guess it wouldn’t be okay to post this one until…oh, 2023.
It was originally a gender-flipped version of Mister Pigeon. I dropped that due to some controversy with the Internet celebrity I was using. Then I switched to a Plague Doctor because of their association with pigeons. I also took inspiration from the SCP Plague Doctor. The Akumatized is a wannabe SCP writer, and the Akuma is in a crumpled ball of paper he’d been writing SCP ideas on. The paper transforms into a plague doctor poker. As Plague Doctor, he infects victims and uses pigeons in the spread of the infection.
At the climax, Chat Noir is infected, leaving it down to Ladybug to save the day. The Lucky Charm distracts all the birds protecting Plague Doctor, allowing Ladybug to grab the poker. After being de-Akumatized, Ladybug gives advice to the struggling writer:
“Hey, you may not understand how, but we know what it’s like to get writer’s block. It can be difficult to come up with something purely original, but I’m sure you can come up with an SCP idea that people will appreciate. Or, at least, you will appreciate.”
Ladybug smiles, and the writer smiles back.
Episode 7, Speedrunner – An unsuccessful speed-running attempt turns Ethan (CrankGameplays) into Speedrunner, the fastest Akuma alive. The Akuma is a controller that becomes a grappling hook Speedrunner can use to pull people back. This one borrows a lot from “Timebreaker,” and that’s really all I’ve figured out for it.
Episode 8, The Animator – Ross is Akumatized into Animator. Like Plague Doctor, Ross gets hit with “animator’s block,” and frustrated with his inability to find inspiration. Space Butterfly knows the feeling and the Akuma ends up in Ross’s tablet. The Animator looks like a living 2D character, or “toon.” He can create more toons with his tablet.
“When I draw on this tablet…” the Animator smirked evilly and put his pen to the tablet. “Bad things happen.”
This episode takes inspiration from “The Evillstrator,” a touch of “Animaestro,” and…
“Princess Fragrance,” where Tikki gets sick. Maybe it could’ve lined up with Plague Doctor, so Tikki caught her illness from him. In any case, Mark posts a video saying that he thinks he’ll be sick for the rest of the week. Chat Noir can’t fight the Animator on his own, so he goes to Mark’s house, hoping he’s not too sick to become Ladybug. As Jack, he tries to get Mark out of bed, but he insists on staying completely covered up.
“Unless ya wanna live in Roger Rabbit’s fever dream, you’re gettin’ out of bed!” No matter how hard he pulled, Mark would not get out of bed, and Jack sighed defeatedly. “Fine, I’ll just let ya lay in bed and try to capture the Akuma myself! Why don’t I jus’ sprout wings too!?”
“Jack…” Mark’s voice suddenly didn’t sound as wheezy and sick. In fact, when he took off the covers to expose his head, he looked completely healthy. “I’m sorry for lying to you- it’s not me who’s sick.”
“What…?”
Mark showed Jack a box that looked the same as the box he found his ring in. It didn’t have jewelry inside it, but Jack saw a Kwami that resembled a ladybug; this was the first time he’d ever seen Tikki, and she was curled up, weak and ill. Jack’s eyes widened as he said, “I didn’t think Kwamis could get sick.”
“Me neither,” Mark sighed, “but our last fight did a number on Tikki, and now… I’m gonna be out of the game until we get some help.”
Jack leaves so he can keep the situation with Animator from getting any worse. Plagg looks disheartened after seeing Tikki sick, something Jack’s never seen before. After Chat Noir leaves, Tikki finally mentions the healer who can help her, and Mark takes her to Master Fu. After Master Fu heals her, it’s time for Ladybug to fight the Animator.
Danny runs into a vicious version of Burgie, but Ladybug rescues him. Chat Noir and Ladybug find each other, and then find the Animator in Ross’s studio. Ladybug uses his Lucky Charm and it summons a huge cartoon mallet. He breaks the lights in Ross’s studio and Chat Noir uses Cataclysm on the tablet since he can see in the dark.
Episode 9, The Green Goat – A female wrestler is Akumatized into her wrestling persona, Green Goat, after her father finds out she's been wrestling behind his back. This episode borrows from “Anansi,” but also Steven Universe. The female wrestler is based off of Amethyst (her civilian name might have been Amy, but I’m considering changing it so she’s not confused with Markiplier’s Amy) and her “Purple Puma” wrestling persona. Like Anansi, Ladybug challenges her to a fight that causes the “ring” around her to crumble.
“Let’s go, just me and you,” Ladybug said. “Let’s go, just one on two.”
Unlike Anansi, there is no Turtle Hero involved.
Episode 10, Starbomber – Unsure of what to put his attention to next, Arin is turned into Starbomber, able to bring video games into the real world. Starbomber launches bombs whoever/whatever explodes with the bomb becomes video-game-like, making him more powerful. After he is defeated, Arin is inspired to start a game themed around Starbomb.
Episode 11, Copier – A disgruntled office worker turns into Copier, who can make copies of anything he touches. This episode borrows from “The Puppeteer 2,” with people confusing copies for the real thing. Ladybug runs into a copy of himself but disposes of him. However, he runs into a copy of Chat Noir and falls for it.
Episode 12, Prime Queen – This episode’s plot is lifted straight from “Prime Queen.” A reporter looking to interview Ladybug and Chat Noir gets Akumatized. She tries to force the men to reveal their (non-existent) feelings for each other.
Episode 13, Ninja Brian – This episode borrows from “The Mime,” but with some changes to keep it from being too short. When Brian is tricked into missing a performance with Danny, he is Akumatized into Ninja Brian. His Akuma is in his sword – once a prop, now very real. Ninja Brian has your standard ninja powerset: completely silent, super-powerful sword, and teleportation.
Danny feels guilty about being kind of responsible for Brian’s Akumatization. Danny reveals that he and Arin have been training to combat against Akumas. To match Brian’s ninja skills, Danny has his own katanas and Arin has (fake) sais. Ladybug tries to stop them, but Danny is insistent he and Arin tag along:
Danny gave Ladybug a judging look. "You know, you can't try to keep us from helping you. Brian is our friend too, and what are you gonna do when other heroes come along?"
Ladybug looked confused at his mention of “other heroes.” “What do you mean? The only heroes Los Angeles needs are Chat Noir and I.”
Arin said, “Ladybug, think about it: every superhero franchise starts out with one or two heroes, but then more come into play, and soon, you have like, three dozen!”
“A whole Infinity War’s worth of heroes!” Chat Noir agreed, excited, but Ladybug didn’t share their enthusiasm.
Ladybug stated bluntly, “This isn’t some movie franchise- this is as real as it gets. You are civilians who would be better someplace safe. I’m not sure if my powers can bring someone back from the dead, and I never want to have it come to that.”
Chat convinces him that Danny and Arin could help, since he and Mark used to be civilians too. Then they head into the final battle against Ninja Brian.
Danny distracts Brian with some “I know you’re in there somewhere” speech, even though everyone doubts it will work. Arin and Chat are ready to step in to help with the battle, while Ladybug summons his Lucky Charm. It’s a pair of Sai, but much realer than Arin’s. They all come out of hiding and Ninja Brian teleports around. While he’s distracted fighting everyone else, Ladybug throws the sai at Ninja Brian and pins him down. Since he can’t teleport away now, Ladybug easily takes the Akuma from his sword. Then the concert goes on as planned.
Episode 14, Card Collector – Card Collector takes inspiration from the first “Puppeteer” episode. Wade, who is visiting Mark, becomes Akumatized into Card Collector. He creates cards of various Akumas from the past.
But that doesn’t happen until later in the episode. The episode starts off not long after where the last episode ended. Mark is in his bed, thinking about what Danny said earlier: “What are you gonna do when other heroes come along?" He asks Tikki about it, and she admits it won’t just be the two of them.
Then Wade shows up and gets Akumatized. He turns Ethan and Bob into cards first since they’re close to Mark’s house. Then he captures the Grumps because they’re nearby. Ladybug figures out Prime Queen is next since the news station is the next closest location. Ladybug and Chat Noir get there right after Card Collector has made her into a card. During a fight, Card Collector captures Chat Noir.
Ladybug realizes that the Akuma is in Card Collector’s card holder. He knocks Chat Noir’s card from the holder and summons him. A battle with the cards ensues. Though Card Collector has more villains for sure, he quickly runs out of mana.
Chat Noir frowned. “A mana system for an Akuma? That’s not a big flaw at all.”
“CATACLYSM!” Chat Noir and Ladybug shouted the word at the same time.
Chat Noir uses Cataclysm on the card holder and Ladybug captures the Akuma.
Episode 15, The Snatcher - Luke (Yungtown) is Akumatized into the Snatcher, trying to steal people’s souls by making contracts with them. For those unaware, the Snatcher is a character from the game A Hat in Time. Yungtown voices him. I have planned out that it takes place at a convention and the Snatcher is defeated in a similar manner to how he’s defeated in the game: the Lucky Charm turns him blue.
Episode 16, Roulette - A corrupt casino owner is Akumatized, and Roulette invites Ladybug and Chat Noir to try their luck. Ladybug and Chat Noir team up with a detective that has been investigating the casino owner for a while: Violet Howard. She will be important later. The Akuma is in the handcuffs Violet used on the casino owner.
Episode 17, Music Master - After Danny gets Akumatized, Mark and Jack end up immune to his power to create musical masses. Danny’s Akumatized item becomes a staff shaped like a microphone. This one is inspired by a LOT of different musical stuff. Mainly the Music Meister from Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Also the Music Meister from The Flash episode “Duet.” And also The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals after I watched that. The Music Master’s power is to force people to sing, and control them to fight for him if necessary.
Space Butterfly: “Fly away, my little Akuma, and rewrite the song of this man’s broken heart!”
I’m not completely sure how it’d happen, but Jack and Mark are immune. This allows them to become Ladybug and Chat Noir before fighting him. The plot at the moment is Ladybug and Chat Noir fight against hypnotized citizens to reach the Music Master. When they reach him, Ladybug uses Lucky Charm, which summons earplugs. Ladybug and Chat Noir put on the earplugs and sing a version of “Super Friend” together to defeat the Music Master.
Episode 18, Silencer – Okay, this takes some explaining. A friend and I made Akumatized versions of ourselves. Their Akuma was “Silencer,” which coincidentally, became an Akuma on the show in Season 3. So this episode would combine their Akuma for the first half of the episode and the second half of the episode would take inspiration from the Season 3 episode.
Silencer uses a vacuum to suck up people’s voices. Chat Noir and Ladybug team up with Silencer’s recently-silenced girlfriend to defeat him.
Episode 19, Stoneface - Tyler turns into a rock monster whose eyes can turn anyone to stone.
Episode 20, JonTron the Barbarian - When Jon finds out his favorite book series is ending, he transforms into a barbarian Akuma to give the author inspiration. The episode is influenced by “Darkblade,” but with a more Conan/sword and sandal flavor. Jon’s Akuma is a fake sword turned real. JonTron summons monsters that resemble things from his show, like “Bear of the Interest” and “Gummy Python.” And Jacques becomes a giant bird JonTron flies around on.
Also, for once, I had a decent idea for a fight scene and ending:
“LUCKY CHARM!” Ladybug threw his yo-yo into the air and a sword appeared from it. Ladybug caught it, and besides the ladybug pattern, it looked exactly like JonTron’s sword. Did he really need to fight Jon to save him? His vision indicated otherwise: it focused on JonTron, but also Chat Noir and his staff. Ladybug gave a look to Chat, and he nodded. Then, Ladybug looked at JonTron.
Ladybug had a little more experience with a sword compared to JonTron’s zero sword experience, thanks to Beverly Hills Fencing. He tried to remember all he could from the brief lesson. As JonTron lunged forward with his own sword, Ladybug backed up. He kept good fencing posture, his right arm in front and his chest behind him.
Then, once JonTron’s thoroughly distracted:
CLANG
JonTron’s eyes widened as Chat Noir’s staff hit him. “That’s not my throat.” He suddenly fell to the floor, and Chat pulled away his staff, looking disgusted he just hit JonTron in the crotch.
He also dropped his sword, and Ladybug quickly grabbed it before he could. He managed to break the hilt and a black butterfly flew out from it. “I’m freeing you from evil!” Ladybug swung his yo-yo around and grabbed the Akuma before it flew away. “Gotcha.” He let the harmless butterfly go, and then threw his own sword, sending a wave of magic that transformed the city back from its medieval status.
Then, JonTron turned back to Jon, and he muttered, "I… Am...Am I alive? Am…Am I in hell? All the things I could've been, all the things I didn't get a chance to say, Jacques!” Jon stroked the bird (who was now normal) standing on his shoulder affectionately, trying not to cry. “I love you, man! I wish I could've been a better woman to you!"
“Jon!” Chat snapped Jon from his drama. “You’re okay now. The Grumps are waitin’ for ya downstairs, I think.”
Episode 21, Hot Pepper – An episode I struggled with writing because of the lack of content from Hot Pepper Gaming. I only included Hot Pepper Gaming because I wanted to do something similar to “Kung Food” but also use Vernon, who is an associate of Game Grumps. If I had the time, I would re-write this episode to have a different food-centric Youtuber as the Akuma.
Episode 22, KittyKatGaming - A dejected Suzy turns into the villain KittyKatGaming, who turns everyone, even Chat Noir, into catgirls like herself. This episode borrows a lot from “Reflekta.” Chat Noir becomes a catgirl, but still helps out Ladybug in her transformed state.
Episode 23, Darkiplier - A fan of Ladybug finds out the truth about him and turns into Darkiplier to scare Mark. Slowly, he turns Mark’s friends into mannequins. The story is a mix of “Antibug,” “Horrificator,” and the Darkiplier lore. The Akuma is in a cane similar to Damien’s in Who Killed Markiplier.
The opening is similar to Antibug’s: an Akuma is tormenting somebody named Darien. Ladybug and Chat Noir guard his house, watching for an invisible Akuma. After defeating the Akuma, the woman named Celeste explains what’s going on: she broke up with Darien after finding his shrine to Ladybug.
Celeste: “I knew he liked guys and girls, and I was okay with that, but the shrine…it was too strange. When I asked him to just put it away, he turned violent fast. He held me down, and I kicked him in the leg…”
Celeste, Ladybug, and Chat Noir leave the house. Ladybug de-transforms nearby and Mark says the names Celeste and Darien sound familiar…
But Darien is watching him. Shocked at who his hero really is, he tears down his shrine and screams to the heavens, “I hate you, Ladybug!”
Space Butterfly sees a second chance to Akumatize someone, and turns Darien into Darkiplier. At his house, Mark hears strange noises while trying to get some sleep. Because he thinks the noise is a fan, he gets up to call the police, but his phone tells him he has no cell reception. He transforms into Ladybug to call for Jack as back-up. Even with the super cell reception of Ladybug, he finds his other friends aren’t picking up.
Ladybug and Chat Noir find mannequins around the house, which they easily. Eventually, Ladybug and Chat Noir find Darkiplier. Darkiplier explains that he was Darien, saw Ladybug transform back into Mark, and he’s made Mark’s friends into mannequins. Ladybug is too stunned to fight back against more mannequins, but Chat Noir saves him. Chat Noir tries to get Ladybug to keep fighting, but the fear is getting to him. Chat Noir goes to find the real Ethan, Tyler, and Amy on his own.
Chat finds the three are in sealed coffins, which are producing the mannequins they keep fighting. Chat uses Cataclysm to free Ethan. The remaining coffin lids respawn Tyler and Amy mannequins, which capture Chat Noir and Ethan. Chat Noir frees himself, but Darkiplier shows up to fight him.
Ladybug hears Chat’s in trouble, and that helps him overcome his fear. Ladybug’s Lucky Charm summons a camera, which helps since Darkiplier thrives in the darkness. Ladybug frees Darien from evil, but Darien says he and Ladybug will never be friends.
Episode 24, Toybox - A child is Akumatized into Toybox, a villain who weaponizes the toys inside. This episode also takes inspiration from “Puppeteer.” I wanted to break the concepts from that episode into two: the returning Akumas would be the focus of “Card Collector,” and the evil toys controlled by a child would be the focus of this episode.
Episode 25, Oblivio – This episode borrows from the canon “Oblivio,” but with a few deviations. For one, Jack – who thinks his name is Sean throughout the episode – knows he’s not in a relationship with Mark, but wonders if them knowing their superhero identities is a good thing. Second, because they haven’t officially met Master Fu yet, Sean and Mark find a recording of themselves before they went to fight Oblivio. The video explains everything they should know before they should fight him. Finally, Oblivio isn’t two people – he is one internet personality known as Crendor. And he knows who Space Butterfly is.
Ladybug looked surprised. “You remember what Space Butterfly did to you?”
“I guess I remember because I’d know that voice in my head anywhere,” Crendor said. “It was Jesse Cox, my friend an’ cohost.”
Episode 26, Space Butterfly – As the finale, this episode is HUGE. I guess I should start by explaining what happened with Crendor and Jesse before Crendor was Akumatized. Tired of being defeated by Chat Noir and Ladybug so many times, Space Butterfly realizes that what if instead of using a stranger’s negative emotions, he uses a friend’s positive emotions? Jesse invites Crendor over to LA for the weekend, but Crendor learns the truth too soon. Space Butterfly quickly manipulates Crendor after he’s Akumatized from wiping his own memory of his friend being a supervillain, to wiping anyone’s memory.
In the present, Mark is setting up a “final battle plan.” An alert from Game Theory distracts Mark: a teaser featuring a mysterious book…with Ladybug and Chat Noir illustrations inside. Tikki recognizes it as the Miraculous spell book, and tells Mark that Master Fu needs it. Mark meets Master Fu properly, and also meets Wayzz. Fu confirms from the pictures that MatPat now has the spell book, and Mark should try to get it from him. Mark explains he has a plan to take Space Butterfly down, and that should have priority over getting the spell book. Fu wonders if Mark’s more nervous about facing his friend, but agrees with him.
Soon, Ladybug and Chat Noir are ready to face Space Butterfly head-on. Space Butterfly has prepared by this, setting up security around the house. Chat Noir manages to use two Cataclysms in a row: once on SB’s security defenses and the second time on the window. Space Butterfly is in his lair, waiting for them. The heroes control their emotions, so they aren’t vulnerable to the Akumas inside. Ladybug demands Space Butterfly hand over his Miraculous, but wonders why he’s doing this. SB says he won’t answer to him. Chat Noir asks if he’ll answer to the police, and Space Butterfly hears sirens outside.
“Do you think we just came here by ourselves, Jesse?” Ladybug asked. “You’re gonna pay for your crimes, but first…hand over your Miraculous.” He held out his hand.
Space Butterfly looked at Ladybug, Chat Noir, the broken butterfly-shaped window, and finally the butterflies flying around them. The villain looked so disillusioned in that moment, like he was only now questioning whether it was a good idea to create such evil. Then, Space Butterfly closed his eyes and said, “Dark wings, fall.”
Then they saw Jesse as he normally was: a chubby redhead with a beard and glasses. His fedora with the brooch on it remained, but the brooch was now disguised as a simple purple gem. With Jesse was his Kwami: a purple one with butterfly wings and a spiral on his forehead. Jesse took the brooch from the hat and muttered, “Nooroo… I renounce you.” The Kwami was sent back into the Miraculous, returning it to its charged form. Jesse gave the Butterfly Miraculous to Ladybug, keeping his head down.
Jesse is arrested and Ladybug gives the Butterfly Miraculous to Violet, the detective from “Roulette,” for further study. Chat Noir wants to interrogate Jesse, with Ladybug and Violet watching, to get an explanation for why he did this. Jesse explains that when he picked up the brooch, he learned about the Ladybug, Cat, and Butterfly Miraculous.
“The Butterfly brooch allows someone to give a person their own superpowers. And that someone can make that person their devoted follower,” Jesse explained, “but it wasn’t meant to be used for evil purposes.”
“So why did you use it that way?” Chat Noir asked, pointing out the flaw in Jesse’s explanation.
“I have no clue, but… I’m pretty sure something is affecting the Butterfly Miraculous- not me, not Nooroo, but something bigger. Ask Dodger, Crendor, even the Grumps, and they’ll know I wouldn’t do this to myself. When I picked that brooch up, everything changed.”
Ladybug wondered if Jesse was telling the truth, so he called for Chat Noir to come out of the interrogation room. Once he came out, Ladybug asked him, “Think he’s lying?”
Chat shook his head. “I don’t think so. You saw how he was when he was arrested. He completely broke down. Yeah, supervillains usually break down when they’re defeated, but then he started crying. He looked like he was finally comin’ to his senses, gettin’ out of a haze.”
Once he’s finished interrogating Jesse, Chat asks about a dangling plot thread:
“One last thing: Why did you keep our identities a secret?” Chat asked. “I know you know who I am ‘cause of Copyjack, and who Ladybug is ‘cause of another Akuma.” Mentioning Darkiplier by name was probably saying too much.
Jesse answered quickly, “I figured if I exposed you as Chat Noir, or Ladybug, I’d expose myself as Space Butterfly. Plus, I wasn’t sure how to get close to you. I’d invite you to CoxCon, but I’d be too busy to keep up the masquerade.”
Ladybug nodded. “That’s valid.”
With the interrogation now over, Mark goes back home. He doesn’t realize Jack has followed him until he speaks up, scaring Mark from suddenly being behind him. Jack explains that he followed because he wanted them to find an expert on the Miraculous together. Mark says that he already knows one, but he never told Jack. He also says that MatPat is has the Miraculous spell book, and Master Fu wants it back. Jack, also nervous about facing MatPat, tells Mark good luck.
Mark goes to MatPat’s, as Ladybug, to get the book. MatPat is reluctant to give up the book, but knows it is for the greater good. The episode (and season) ends with Mark and Jack at Master Fu’s…
But then Violet, the detective, picks up the Butterfly Miraculous and becomes the newest wielder: Purple Guard.

OCtober Day 31: Ghost
The last OCtober, just in time for the new year. Since this was originally done in October, obviously, I wanted to end with something appropriately spooky. Here’s my ghost character, Mona.
