I drew art of all my kirby characters back in january but I only just got round to finishing the first ref sheet, due to a) situations and b) graphic design is my passion (lying). any way, here's Model Dee! he comes from the Rainbow River region of Dreamland, which explains his unusual green colour body. he's close friends since childhood with Wobble Dee, who is somewhat younger and looks up to him. Model Dee is a very easy going and cheerful fellow who often has to calm down his more nervous friend.

a server I recently joined is doing a colour-my-lines type game, and I have always wanted to colour this one of @eisly's linearts (and design) since the moment I first saw it, so I did. I think because it wasn't my design, it was easier to just go for it rather than doing colour studies etc. and it was a lot of fun, though slow because body hurty. it's such a good design, I LOVE the way the scissors attach to the head especially. I imagine it lost its leg in a fight with another scissorbird...

I drew a Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters version of @requinoesis's character Roberto for their birthday, because we both love those little playsets and the flocked animals (my favourite are the seals of course)!

I had to make some compromises on Roberto's details due to trying to keep it close to the Sylvanian Families "brand", as well as the manufacturing limitations on clothes for small toys. in retrospect, that...wasn't necessary, but I wanted him to feel as much like a actual artifact that you could really hold as possible! the shoelaces, for instance, are painted on to the raised bits of the moulded plastic shoes, the jewellery is all roughly the same thickness (too thin and it would be tricky to produce and fragile), and the head has forwards-facing eyes (as per the Sylvanian Families rabbits, for instance, while real rabbits have their eyes on the side of the head)
