okay sorry, im an art account and I really didn't want these to be reblogs because i was gonna post something later

i really don't like the thing you said about not comparing real life to fandom behavior, the people in a fandom ARE real people supporting certain behaviors, i get your highs argument and im still iffy about a seventeen year old and an eighteen year old dating but that's a different thing for another day, i think you should definitely compare fiction to reality and fandom to reality, if the entirety of s fandom is proshipping that will create a community of people who more than likely think that thing would be okay in real life, and even if it didn't, it would affect victims of the topics in those ships

a nineteen year old is actively out of highschool, a seventeen year old is still in highschool (idk about wherever you are, but nineteen year olds are either working in an apartment or in college where i am, maybe both) eighteen is the year you graduate highschool and then you go to college, seventeen year olds are still in highschool during this, i REALLY hate when people use the defence that things are just fictional so it shouldn't be worried about, it's the same defence that creeps use when defending certain content of characters that look like three year old, i get that that's not what we're talking about here, but still

thirteen and fifteen is still weird, one can get a learner's permit to drive a car and the other is still in middle school

i think that it's odd when out of ALL the characters you could ship zoro with (there are a lot of good zoro ships in my opinion) and there's quite a few good Luffy ships too but you choose to ship him with the characters who knew him when he was still a minor and actively draw art and write fanfiction about them being in a relationship while they're still minor

i am actively realizing that I don't like arguing on Tumblr about things that are any more serious than waffles vs pancakes so im just gonna agree to disagree but i still think these ships are greatly unnerving and they make me deeply uncomfortable

it is NOT okay to ship two characters together when one is a minor and the other is an adult just because later in the show they're both adults!!

the majority of (good side of) the fandom head canon that Luffy is aro ace but if you're gonna ship him with someone don't ship him with an adult who met him when he was a teenager
