Next up for the Au: Callum!

Callum: Callum is Ezran’s older brother. Callum had no interest in riding when he was younger, thanks to never being able to actually stay on a horse long enough to take a step. But once Ezran was old enough to know what a horse was, Callum was practically dragging him to the nearest barn day in and day out. There, he met Claudia and immediately began crushing on the girl. He started going to the barn more, even by himself, if not just to see Claudia. She eventually got him to try riding her horse. Before Callum could swing his leg over the saddle, her horse spooked and took off (with him being dragged along with it). After this, Callum swore off riding and just watched her train and compete. That is till he met Rayla at a competition. They started hanging out together and Rayla helped him gain his confidence to get back into the saddle with her horse and even help him find a balanced seat to stay on. Now, Callum is on his way to becoming an unstoppable force in the dressage world, going up against Claudia every now and then.

Horse: Callum rides a dark bay Hannoeravian with four white socks. A great breed for the dressage world

Discipline: English Dressage

Barn: Katolis Stables

Other: During one of his competitions, there was a scout from Xadia Riding Academy. The next day he received a letter from XRA asking if he would like to attend. Rayla was thrilled hearing the news (they would be able to ride more together) but Ezran was upset. He loves being at the barn with his brother and spending time together. Callum has to decide what to do.

Ok, hopefully I can take some time tomorrow to post more of my TDP Au!! I started taking some supplements suggested by my cardiologist and they’ve been starting to help. I don’t feel so awake at night right now, so hoping that’s helping the insomnia! Forgot to mention that I’ve been diagnosed to be on the dysautonomia spectrum. (Not sure yet where, but being treated like I have POTs). So plan for an update tomorrow or so. Just been a rough last couple of days. 🫶

Not forgetting about the AU!! I promise!! Two things:

1: it is still a VERY rough idea and I’m tweaking things here and there

2: I’m dealing with some health issues that affect my focus/concentration. Also doesn’t help that it affects my sleep so I’m running on very little sleep. Gotta figure out why my blood pressure drops randomly before school picks back up.

So I promise I’m not forgetting about it!!! I’m planning on either Callum or Ezran next. Who do you want to see??

First character up for the TDP Riding AU:

Rayla: began training with her fathers at a young age in the discipline of Fox Hunt. When her father decided she was ready for her first hunt, he didn’t anticipate her to freeze up. Rayla ended up quitting her training and just watched her fathers and the group. She missed the thrilling sensation of horseback, and ended up finding Hunters. A combination of jumping and putting her “hunter etiquette” to use. She absolutely enjoys it, showing both in Flat courses and Hunter under saddle.

Horse: Rayla rides a grey, dappled Thoroughbred

Name: Silver (Gelding)

Show Name: “Moonlight Sonata”

Discipline: Formerly trained in Fox Hunt, now training in the Hunters, as well as dabbling in Mounted Archery.

Barn: Xadia Riding Academy

Other: One cold winter night while Rayla was getting ready to head home for the night, she heard a quiet whimper. She had to investigate what the noise could be. Rayla constantly thanks herself for staying just a tad later that night or she wouldn’t have heard and found a small pup shivering in the corner of small hay pile. She immediately took the pup, wrapped it in her jacket, and brought it home. (As well as food and water) The pup stuck around, following Rayla to the barn each morning. She was later named Stella and became Xadia Riding Academy’s unofficial barn dog.

I know my account isn’t very “famous” and it’s hard to reach people, but I’d love some tips on writing and planning. A dream of mine is to write a book, whether big or small. I used to write a lot as a kid but I’m not sure why I really ever stopped. Part of it could be because grammar and such isn’t my strong suit, but I want to push past that. Any help is appreciated <3
