Just like Miji & mirae, who had to run away and hide from facing their fears. But once they got the strength to fight back, they became stronger than ever.

There are multiple opportunities for you. You just need the courage, will and determination to start over again.

Hosu feeling like a burden his whole life, finally gets to accept himself and the love around him. This shows immense growth as a human, who understands and is open to love and be loved without any condition. And realises love is not bout hiding your scars but sharing it with ones you love.

Special mention to different types of motherhood that we got to see in the drama. All different yet similarly heartbreaking. The twins mother finally breaking the generational trauma and understanding her own mother's actions and trying to be a better mother to her own was a beautiful depiction that motherhood can be flawed but its worth it.

Similarly hosu's mother and kim rosa being the one who stepped up to raise the children. Showed how sometimes its not the blood but just feeling of being held on as a mother is enough. Selfless and beautiful.

This will be special to me. Thank you to all the cast members for bringing this beautiful script to life. Oftentimes,the story hit too close to home. But it also would give me strength &allow me to be hopeful. So raw& vulnerable yet comforting. Ty for healing!

Kudos to the director&writers for giving us such beautiful storylines of the characs,in a way giving us an emotional ode to womanhood&our youth.

The women were truly the heart of the show.. each one felt so real, flawed and brave.. each had such beautiful story about sisterhood, healing, and womanhood to tell with so much care.

The center of this show were the twins, their story, bond & complexities. From knowing everything about each other to finding all the broken pieces of one another and realising their struggles and sacrifices, eventually learning and healing from it.

#ParkBoYoung did an amazing job portraying their differences & how she had great dynamics from her two male leads, too!

people always say, about love, you’ll find it if you look for it. and also, you’ll find it when you’re not even looking. i believe that it’s a little bit of both. love is in the shoulder or hip pressed against a door, keeping it open for the stranger that approaches. in the knee on the floor as an adult teaches a child the intricacies of tying their shoelaces. in the quirk of a mouth corner as something unspoken is passed between two friends. love is small, and love is fleeting, and love is careful and free. love is crafted to exist silently, most of the time, which means that the more you look out for it in the mundane, the ‘normal’ and the regularities, the more you’ll spot it.

WAY BACK LOVE dir. Choi Ha Na and Kim Hye Young (2025)

How "revival" was interpreted in this set (contains spoilers):

To me, "Way Back Love" is, at its core, a story about symbolic rebirth. Ram Woo's death cannot be undone and the drama doesn't let you think otherwise. However, Hee Wan's death is said to happen in a near future. But how can Hee Wan's death occurs when time has stopped for her the moment Ram Woo disappeared? Ram Woo coming back to life so to speak, as the Grim Reaper, paradoxically brings Hee Wan back to life, to a flowing time that allows her to mourn and acknowledge the complicated feelings she has bottled up: love, guilt, despair, longing, fear, etc.

The set opens with white chrysanthemums used during Korean funerals and ends with yellow daffodils symbolising renewal and new beginnings. The yellow daffodils are found in Hee Wan's room and contrasts with the dead plant visible at the same place in episode 1.

This set can be seen through both Ram Woo's and Hee Wan's point of view. Hee Wan's rebirth is at the centre of the drama whereas Ram Woo's is more subtle. When Hee Wan starts living again, Ram Woo is gone for good. Physically that is. He will, however, remain in everyone's hearts. Hee Wan will keep on seeing him in everything she does. Hong Seok will save lives as a firefighter and not a day will go by where he will not think of Ram Woo, his best friend he couldn't save. Jeong Sook will keep on painting, remembering fondly the love her son had for her paintings and how it allowed her to start tutoring Hee Wan. The week Ram Woo spent with Hee Wan gave him the opportunity to let go of his regrets and, most importantly, to say goodbye. Something he was robbed of, along with his life, the night of the explosion.
