2. Doctor makes 3-D model of kidney, complete with stones and urine (his own), takes it on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad 60 times

That’s based on only 60 rides on a single coaster, and Wartinger guards his excitement in the journal article: ‘Preliminary study findings support the anecdotal evidence that a ride on a moderate-intensity roller coaster could benefit some patients with small kidney stones.’”

Top Surgery Cont.

Hey everyone, it has been I believe a day shy of 2 weeks post op. Here are some updates..

First day after surgery is kind of a blur. Some memories but nothing too exciting. I only threw up once, but never felt much pain.

Same for the continuing days… I was off opiates by day 3 and didn’t even bother with any OTC medication.

The only strange thing going on was my drainage from my chest wasnt changing color. It was staying a pretty dark red and drainage was kind of all over the place, but by the end of the week the right drain was running around 27mls a day and the left roughly the same.

So first post op appointment roles in 6 days later and…

Unfortunately when my compression vest came off my chest was so bruised I looked like a beautiful sunset! The right side was just bruising but the left had small hematomas splattered about. But, honestly. I didn’t care. It was beautiful to me.

So, speaking to the PA.. she said no drains out this week. Boo! But hematomas not bad enough (yet) to go back into surgery. Yay! The treatment plan though?? Compress the living daylights out of my chest!!

Back on goes the vest and then 4 thick giant gauze pads that we have shoved up under the vest on the left side to press the living day lights out of my chest.

Week has passed and yes, it has been working. Almost no hematomas left. No extra surgery! The right drain came out about 4 days ago and the left I am hoping to come out 3 days from now. Basicly had the drains in over a week longer than most trans guys. Crazy.

The PA was surprised I’ve been draining so much since I am a small fellow, but my body has always been full of surprises!

I have photos but they are kind of graphic and I am terrible with tumblr and don’t know if there is a way to hide them unless someone clicks on them. So if you want to see them for medical reasons and education please send me a message!

I am home now but here are the pictures before and after surgery. No complications and I am feeling alright just very week. I am so happy that this has finally happened. Thanks everyone for nice comments and likes. This has been a journey that I know a lot of LGBTQIA+ take. We are a beautiful community and you are all awesome!
