What is Pharma like in this AU?

pharma is the head of medical affairs for the autobot command! ratchet held this position during the war, but retired right after the war ended, and pharma took over instead. pharma is an extensively talented medic and very dedicated to his position. pharma can be a bit cold and clinical, especially in matters concerning decepticons (given that he grew up during the war), but can be warm and loving to those closest to him, like ratchet and longarm

So, are there any neutrals out there or are there just two factions? Also did you have any primes before, well, Optimus?

yes there are neutrals! lockdown is the only neutral you will really see in the story, but certain characters will have backgrounds as former neutrals.

there are neutral colonies out there, but they are few and small. the most notable neutral settlements were velocitron and caminus, but both have become autobot territories by the time the story starts. but during the war, they were both neutral.

also there are other primes yes! nova prime is the only one we've seen mentioned, but optimus's brother, sentinel, also holds the title of prime, as well as a few others. the title works differently in tfu than it does in other conts, in the sense that it's more so an honorary title than a position. most bots who have the title of prime did some Especially heroic during the war (i.e., nova's leadership during the war, optimus + sentinel were the youngest bots to have participated in the war). but bots can choose to not take the title if they don't want to, like warpath

but he was the tarn representative when the senate was still a thing (so. pre-botcon war) you probably wont get to see much of him given the whole yknow. dead senator thing, but i will definitely discuss him at some point!

Why are Seekers so small when jets are so big?

most seekers aren't that small, starscream's only small because he's a runt and blitzwing's small cuz hes. still a kid. but also definitely in comparison to some other conts, seekers are probably. much smaller. because i fackin love using mass displacement as an excuse to fuck around with character heights.

also, the seekers might not be typical earth jets, im still working on how cybertronians in tfu get earth alt-forms and how that translates n such SO . keeping tht in mind too when it comes to sizing :]

Does Soundwave ever backsass Screamer like he does in other continuations? Or is their relationship tamer and less sarcastic since Starscream is more of a parental figure to Soundwave?

soundwave is much quieter and reserved in TFU than in other conts, and given that he's starscream's kid, this combines to make their relationship actually very relaxed and not volatile at all. starscream reserves the majority of his patience for his kids, so its a pretty much unseen sight to see him get frustrated with them in any way, shape, or form, and thus the kids dont even really get a chance to argue back with starscream. if there was any of them who would backsass, it definitely wouldn't be soundwave. it would probably be blitzwing, cuz he knows he can get away with it and starscream knows he wouldnt mean it <3

tl;dr of the MANY words i am about to say: i have plans to present unity in the form of a wiki + video essay(s), though these may take a while to come to fruition. if you could read the whole thing thank you i love you i think i say good words.

SO. HI. ITS BEEN A WHILE. a lot of things have happened to me which includes like. yknow. dropping out of college and a special interest change, but here i am! thinking about unity! and, truly, i've never stopped thinking about unity at any point . but i think im finally at a point in which i have ideas that are concrete enough to share PLUS. y'all are overdue for an update on what's going on. so sorry.

so as the tl;dr already spoiled, i have plans to create a wiki for TFU and (a) video essay(s). the wiki will hold any and all information on unity, like character bios, vocab, etc., while the video essay(s) will be an explanation of what the plot of tfu would've been. which is a weird thing to type and read with my own eyes, the past tense of it.

its weird reading some of my older thoughts where i seem to really think that there was a possibility that unity could be a webcomic in any way shape or form. because i dont think it ever was a real possibility nor will it ever be a possibility. i dont say that solemnly at all, i say it just as a realistic matter of fact. because i dont know who else needs to hear this, but people who make huge, impressive projects by themselves or with little help are the exception and most definitely not the standard. and i think its unhealthy in a lot of ways to expect that level of work ethic from yourself, especially if you're like me and chronically ill, neurodivergent, mentally ill, etc.

i think i would've grown to hate unity if i had pushed for it to become a webcomic. instead, i'm actually really excited to work on it more and present in this format that's gonna be more accessible and way easier and fun for me to work on. and i dont feel any shame in like. idfk taking "the easy way out" i dont care !!!! what matters is im making shit and having fun and being happy while doing it.

ANYWAYS. it will still be quite a while until y'all see anything, i think at the earliest you may see it at the end of this year/early next year, but time will tell! i do have a long list of health issues and irl problems that impact my ability to work on stuff like this, but given that this is a lot less work than yknow. WORKING ON A WEBCOMIC. i hope it wont be too long until i can tell y'all that i've made progress :]

in the mean time, i've updated some of this blogs info and i'm gonna clear out the inbox to leave room for new asks. i might answer a few if i feel that i can talk about stuff w/o major spoilers (given that i'd still like to surprise y'all with some plot points and characters yknow <3). but if y'all have any questions or curiosities about what i've discussed here, or anything at all, definitely send them in, and i'll try to not leave you hanging for three years :)

IT AINT PERFECT BUT. I FEEL LIKE IT CONVEYS WHAT IT NEEDS TO CONVEY <3 the main autobots are nowhere NEAR as close as the main decepticons and need so much more time to bond and learn how to be Civil to one another

A QUICK FEW DETAILS THT I DIDN’T SAY ON MY MOST RECENT POST BC I DIDNT WANT TO RAMBLE AND BLOAT THT CAPTION:

slipstream has a new helmet design bc i decided she and sunstorm are fraternal twins! it probably needs some tweaking, i did it on a whim while sketching tht drawing out </3

i finally caved and removed breakdown and knockout from the main cast  😔 it pains me horribly BUT the con cast is so big and i didnt have a lot going with them, so they just live on kaon now! they don’t have to deal with getting stuck on earth so good for them :)

thundercracker is now named thundercloud (i’ve adjusted his tags!) and is now the decepticon main cast medic! he’s young and inexperienced, but trying his damn hardest!

A VERY SHORT VERSION OF WHAT IM ABOUT TO SAY: i have a ko-fi now, my redbubble is still active, i will open commissions soon, and my hand is still kind of fucked up but im hoping i will be able to draw soon!

SO YES! i finally have a ko-fi! i know some artists will usually do lil doodles for each donation they get, but unfortunately i will not!! i am hoping to open commissions as soon as im 100% sure my hand is better and will not slow me down, so if you want to pay me for art, that is your opportunity! for now, ko-fi works as a tip jar and is just a nice way to pass me some cash if you like what i do ;w; even just a few dollars means so so SO much to me and helps me pay for stuff just a lil easier!

once again, im really sorry for the lack of art over the past two weeks, but my hand is still messed up! its slowly getting better but im just trying my best to not overwork and hurt myself again. i promise ill draw again as soon as i can!

IT’S UNITY’S TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

by that i pretty much mean that two years ago today, i cracked open a google doc and started writing down my first concepts for tfu! its grown and evolved a LOT from that original document and im so impressed with how much it has grown from that one doc!

being that unity’s two years old now, some folks may be wondering

hey, stars, where exactly is unity going?

short answer: as of right now, nowhere, really! i’d really really love to start taking it more seriously soon, but as it currently stands, i do not have an official plan for whats next for unity and its development.

LONG ANSWER...

i really really REALLY want to start taking unity more seriously and gather a team to start work on a webcomic for it......... but there is. A LOT. that needs to get done before then. (namely, alt-mode compatible designs for the ENTIRE cast, the creation of the human cast, so so SO much more writing and filling in plot holes.......)

i do think i’d need help with all aspects when it comes to finishing a draft for unity and then beginning the process of a webcomic. i do not trust in my ability to draw a webcomic all by myself nor write a whole webcomic w/o peer review. i’d need help-- i’d need a team! and i think i could probably gather enough friends and other ppl who were interested but! i still dont think im ready yet!

i have stuff that i want to figure out in my life first before taking on something as HUGE as unity. it would be the biggest and most serious project ive ever done and i’d want to treat it as such! especially since i’d be enlisting the help of others, i do not want to sloppily pull together a team just to abandon ship on the project because i wasn’t ready. i know projects like these often dont make it and id rather not fall into that stereotype.

so! that being said! i’d love to start taking unity seriously-- and soon-- but just not right now! all of the love and appreciation i’ve received just for the small portion of unity ive shared on here definitely makes me want to work on presenting unity in some type of way, but i want to make sure i do it right! so i hope that the time between now and whenever i start officially promoting unity as a finished project will be worth it!
