It was only recently that I realized I was trans, although there were signs way beforehand. It’s really weird to go back and look at how I came to the realization, but it’s also super interesting.

Not sure if you really like the name you’ve chosen for yourself?

Use it when the barista at Starbucks asks for your name.

This is what I recommend to any trans*/nb person (or just anyone who wants to change their name).

The biggest problem for me when changing my name was it felt like I was betraying my parents. It felt wrong at first, because my parents had chosen my other name, and now here I was replacing it. Of course, a few friends of mine used my new name, but it just felt like a nickname.

So one day I gave the name Ashton to the barista. I was with some friends who don’t know about my gender identity, so I got a weird look, but it didn’t even come up in conversation later. That was the first huge sigh of relief. The second came when the barista called out my drink. I got up and took it like usual, but then I stopped. It didn’t even cross my mind that that wasn’t the name I was used to hearing. It just felt natural.

So if you’re unsure about your preferred name, treat yourself to some Starbucks.

(NOTE: This can apply to anyone who wants to change their name, they don’t have to be a member of the LGBTQA+ community)

Know that you are a dazzling person and your identity is valid, and no one can change that.

Dysphoria sucks.

But you don’t.

You are valid.

Your chest is not as big as you think.

It is okay to not have facial hair, cis men have this problem too.

Your small feet and hands are fine, and they don’t make you less of a man.

It is okay if you are short - you are small and kick ass!

It is okay if you are pre-t and don’t pass.

It is okay if you are on T and you don’t pass.

You are handsome and strong. You can go through it.

You will get the body and voice you want.

You are loved. Remember it.

Being trans is not special or fun.

You need dysphoria to be trans.

Being cisgender is great.

Being trans is not your aesthetic.

Truscum/transmeds are the only ones who really care about trans people.

Hopefully, people like Skye are still a minority. If you have gender dysphoria, I hope you will be alright. You can always talk to me if you feel bad

t changes

i’ve been on t for 6 months and ive always wanted to post changes (mostly. Unexpected) but i didnt want to post it on my main blog, but now ive got this one i can : D (under read more cause it might get long / nsfw also this is just my Experience(tm)

1. it was so whack like 2 months in my inverted nipple kind of uninverted? i always kind of insecure about it so that made,,, me really,, Happy,,,

2. i used to be like :( why cant i look like that when i saw what society says is Manly(tm) and was super jealous and bitter then i started t and more comfortable being myself i stopped and now i think so many more guys are hotter like wtf the fuck i legit thought i wasnt pan and just gay for like 2 months

3. (nsfw) i thought id really hate being horny all the time but ive accepted it that im a sex goblin now. im p sure hrt opens up Possibilities in sexuality cause it did for me . after i take my shot the day or two after is...the Worst....

4. ???? most trans masc people said their voice dropped gradually but i like. COuldnt stop coughing and then my voice fluctuated a lot and then it got a few octaves deeper one night??. Then its just been getting deeper : D but my voice gets higher ptiched when im nervous and im always nervous talking to people so most people dont know how deep my voice usually is :(  

5. (disordered eating) t really helped me get my eating schedule back on track and helped w my depression for the first few months ;_; like if i didnt eat i would get so sick id pass out so it forced me to eat,,, like i sued to forget to eat for a few days but i Couldnt do that i was like genuinely not depressed for like a month. i mean its back since im used to it but like it was a good Time. and its not as severe

6. THAT BEING SAID i think my adhd has been worse? or ive noticed? idk i just got diagnosed recently so maybe its bc i noticed because my depression wasnt as severe or if it worsens bc of puberty. idk why but thats a thing

7. I GOTTA BE Careful what i say around women because even tho i have experience with Sexism to a degree being born with a Vagina and iding as a girl and facing it for awhile ive never Really Latched onto ideals so i gotta be like. Careful what i say so i dont like a Fool. like i was on fb and i was like “uwu what does a stinky ass boy like u know” and im like “oh yeah the world doesnt know i probably have experiences w a period now” (also have to deal w this around cis guys. like. some of them are so? ? ? ?? ?  why do so many yall think dfab people pee out of their vagina) 

8. my dog that doesnt like cis dudes usually didnt like that i started t cause he started barking/getting really defensive  but he got used to me , but my cat who has never really been around Testosterone was like ??? hello : ) whats this OwO ??? and always comes to me in heat and likes me again. (she was mad i moved out : ( im sorry kitty ) my birds, other dog, and chinchilla dont really care ?? i think??
