Quippy clapbacks are the death of honest trying-to-understand-each-other discourse, istfg.
Yes obviously if you replace a word in a sentence with another word it will change the sentence, but by how much depends on how different the two words are!!!
I shouldn't have to explain that "I hate transgender people" and "I hate transabled people" are as similar a comparison as something like "I hate black people" and "I hate hispanic people" are, and that "I hate basketball" isn't even remotely close to either of those comparisons.
If you say this, you are being purposely obtuse because you don't even want to try and engage with the argument being presented! So just say that instead of trying to be witty, you actually just come across as lazy and ignorant!

im so fucking tired of this shit
transdisabled = disabled
transage = age
transman = man
transwoman = woman
transrace = race
transnationality = nationality
transpara = para
transspecies = species
trans literally anything = anything
aracial = aracial
ageless = ageless
et cetera
"but you cant call yourself a certain identity by being transid of it!" you can. ill allow it /silly
your life is in your hands and it is up to you to decide how you will perceive yourself, what identities you will present to others, who you will be and so on
just fucking be yourself
be who you want to be and how you see yourself

TransIDS are not Radqueer. They are their own collection of identities. Radqueers just support transIDS. I see a lot of misguided antis and I just want them to know that no identity makes you Radqueer. You can use any transID and still not be a Radqueer, I don’t want anyone to feel like they can’t be an identity just because they aren’t apart of an ideology. Even if you are anti-Radqueer, we still will fight for your right to identify with any good-faith identity
What makes you Radqueer is to support certain identities, not be them.

TransID Survey on Transitioning!
Who can take it? anyone who identifies with transids besides transgender
What is it about? the transid community's views on transitioning, highlighting transabled and trace especially
What will happen with the data? it's public to view and the link is in the survey description! I may also make a post on the results here or talk about the results on my Notion, it won't be used to make the transid community 'look bad' or anything like that, I think that's just mean
Are you transid yourself? I am not! But I have a big interest in the transid and radqueer communities and as you can see by my Notion I love talking about it in a very autistic manner! I'm anti-hate towards people who identify this way and I engage a lot with the community, but don't label myself radqueer (tags are for reach as usual)

So the barebones definition of transmed aka transmedicalist is someone who believes you are required to have dysphoria in order to consider yourself trans. This is typically in reference to those who are transgender/transsex, but there are transmeds for other transidentities as well (ie people who think you have to have diagnosed BID to be transabled).
These people consider being trans to be a medical issue and typically don't consider someone to be trans if they are not in the process of physically and socially transitioning "completely". This means they also usually only consider binary genders to be real and don't consider non-binary or genderqueer people to be trans (although there are exceptions), tending to base this on the idea of "man" and "woman" brain differences. They also typically don't consider neutral or euphoric feelings as valid way to be trans, and also are generally not kind to gender non-conforming trans people.
Hope that helps answer your question!
Tbh the main reason why I still prefer transx over transid, and why I still think we should continue using it as an alternative term at least, is that it was originally a term that nonbinary transmeds used and I simply do not think transmeds deserve cool things. (・ω・)b

📚That Time There was a Transracial (Trace) College Course📙
Okay so I've been going down a bit of a rabbit hole today and felt compelled to share my findings. I clearly remembered that, off the back of Nkechi Diallo's forcible outing as trace in 2015, a couple years later there was a smaller scandal related to a college course that delved deeper into this idea on an academic level. I remember thinking, even though at the time I was against being trace, that it would have at least been interesting to attend. There are only a few reactionary articles from mid-2017 reporting on it, as the course has been scrubbed clean from the website of the Rhode Island School of Design. But thanks to the power of the Waybackmachine, I was able to take a look at it!
Tumblr media
The faculty who taught the course is named Joon Lee, a Korean-American queer transsexual! Unfortunately I still haven't been able to pinpoint if he considers himself trace in some way, although he appears to have in-depth studies on black feminism, so it's possible that's related in some way? Just pure speculation. Thankfully he still works there even though this particular course is no longer offered. Here's his website!
But what's interesting is that this wasn't a new course in 2017; I found the same class (although called something else) in a course list from 2009-2010 and even one as far back as 2005-2006!!!
Tumblr media
I don't really have a conclusion to this little deep dive except I'm sad I wasn't born early enough to attend this class. 🫠 These are some really interesting concepts I'd love to see actually discussed metacontextually and it's upsetting this was being talked about as early as at least the mid 00s but then got roped into the tracephobic hype.

Since I have a bit of savings this year I've been thinking about purchasing some pride merch a few months ahead of time. Wondering if I'd be bold enough to get a custom pin or flag made of one of my non-gender transidentities....🫣

Something I've noticed with antis arguments is that they're shocking similar to anti-xenogender/neo pronouns agruments.
"Try explaining transabled to someone IRL" = "Try explaining catgender to someone IRL"
"Transage is making a mockery of the transgender community" = "Neopronouns are making a mockery of the transgender community"
"All transid users are teenagers" = "All xenogender users are teenagers" (Also the ageism LOL)
Etc. etc. I could go on but those are just three of the samples I chose for this. If anyone wants to add their owns, feel free to do so.
