Self. These pictures were taken by a pretty cool person over two years ago one summer on the Savannah River. I will never forget that day and how we just jumped in and swam across to the Georgia side, no ducks given. Allegators? Bite me. This was toward to beginning of my awakening and I was a very different person then. Although I was (and still am) very pretty, I was also a very dark, petty, and clouded version of myself. Two years has gone by dedicated to transformation and growth. I am still growing today, but I feel I have made some serious break-throughs to show for it! In good time, all will be revealed. "The Seed" This is Aurora Aksnes. Her band/music has been an incredible accelerant in my personal metamorphosis this past year. She first came to me during dark winter with her 2019 performance at the Glasgow music festival. The Seed is an outstanding song/music video in which she highlights and champions the environmental and ecological crisis we are collectively facing as a species (https://youtu.be/_Mc_OM5oNA8). "Heck Yes" With persistence comes skill. Nobody is good at anything to begin with. I remember when I first started Archery. Took hours to hit the target. When I first stared art and how I used to only be able to draw stick-people. When I first started running and could barely run a mile. Yet, just like with balancing these rocks I kept at those skills until I achieved my goals Someone once told me that how you do one thing is how you do everything. The backbone, ladies and gentlemen!

Along with my art comes the study of anatomy. I've already memorized all the bones in the human skull; I want to be able to do the same with the rest of the skeletal structure, along with the muscular and vascular structures as well.

I remembet taking a live-drawing class and the instructor was always quizing us on the scientific names of different bones and muscles. That was with Dr. Al Beyers at USC Aiken. That class was awesome.

Okay well, back to the books!

This is me. I have been in a sort of cage for a long time, but now I feel like the cage is open and I am free to go. That scares me. There's a lot of vulnerability and defensive instincts to work through, so I'm taking it slow. Freedom is awesome, but also terrifying. G R O W

It had been hell getting a bunch of sunflower seeds and planting then in strange pots. They all died. I was disheartedand and tired because I was putting in like 13- 17 hours a day working construction so I didn't give my little garden the right amount of attention and so I simply put them outside and lo and behold: a few days later this flower came to be. That gets me thinking 💡

When you are very passionate and want something or someone; you size up the want and you start going for it, and then someone tells you,

"Give up. You can't get it up. Its a one-in-a-million chance!"

Yes, yes you're right. It is a one-in-a-million. But when you think about things, we only ever get a one-in-a-million chance , and this sunny fellow (the sunflower) saw his chance and took it!
