It’s been a pretty rough 6mths, lost my father in May and then was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in July. Miss my dad everyday and had two surgeries so far for the cancer. It’s all removed now, thyroid is completely gone as are a whole bunch of lymph nodes in my neck, only radiation left to go. They tell me that if you’re going to get cancer this is the one to get, not that anyone wants to get cancer… 2023 not such a good year, add it up along with the last 3 that weren’t that great for society as a whole either. Each day I get a little bit better and remember my father fondly and with love instead of sadness so I guess that’s something… snow has started to settle over Edmonton, I don’t think it will stay though, not yet, but soon.
