ah, damnit. well, she doesn't really need this, she supposes, and it's really best to keep everyone on their toes — so with a loud sigh, she throws a pouch of coins back at her. ❝ fine, fine, you can keep it. i'm feeling nice today, you're lucky, ❞ but she's grinning.

Cipher, did you steal my money? I can't find some of the money I kept away, don't tell me you saw me putting it somewhere yesterday. Bring that money back, I need it to buy my book

well, if not her, who else? not like bartholos is dumb enough to steal from a chrysos heir. she can't help but laugh, and entertains herself anyway.

a travelling thief, originating from mondstadt. she steals things for people, but for a price — a high one, at that. it's worth it, though, because she's possibly one of the best thieves in teyvat.

❝ i mean, aren't we all trying to run away from the inevitable doom of our tragic fate while thrying to hide our emotions and swallow our grief in the thrill of dangerous activities? ❞

a moment of silence. ❝ cipher, ❞ aglaea says, very carefully. ❝ what? ❞

with a giggle, cipher dangles the purse above castorice's head. ❝ are you suuure i can't have it? ❞ she teases, zipping around so she's standing on the other side of her.

but after a moment, she finally stays still and throws the purse back to castorice. ❝ fine, fine. i'm feeling nice today, so you can have it back. ❞

Castorice was humming to herself as she was picking flowers they died in her hand before hearing someone tapping her shoulder with quick speed to the point they didn’t get hurt

“Oh hm who is it?” Castorice said titling her head to the side

“Oh it’s just you Cipher” The thief stands right in front of Castorice giving the other a smug look

“Are you here to bother me once more?”

well, she's been bored lately, so she thought, why not go bother castorice? it would give her something to do, and maybe it would even help castorice have some fun for once — although that was unlikely.

❝ what can i say? it's just so fun, ❞ she grins. she flips a coin in the air, and before it lands on the ground, she grabs a couple of coins out of castorice's purse.

then she catches the coin she threw in the air, and time slows back down to normal again. cipher presents the gold she took from castorice in her palm. ❝ i'm sure you didn't need this, riiiight? ❞ she jokes.

❝ can i say both? ❞ the thief suggests, placing a hand on her hip. she drums her clawed fingers absentmindedly against it, as if in thought. she doesn't usually go for attention, but once in a while doesn't hurt. and, well, isn't she always testing her skills?

❝ aidonia . . . well, you're not wrong. isn't the friendliest place around, ❞ she remarks, leaving the words she can't be bothered to speak hanging in the air. especially for followers of zagreus, for thieves like me. intrigues her? she'll take that as a compliment. ❝ oh, i do? well, glad to know i'm good for something, then, ❞ she jokes.

what she truly seeks? isn't it what they all look for? to escape their fates, to run away from the gruesome deaths that destiny has in store for them. ❝ well, i'm not looking for any fight, if that's what you mean. ❞ she's not mydei, after all. ( is friendship a good answer? no. why would cipher ever want friendship? she's fine just the way she is, really. ) ❝ then . . . instead, let's say all i want is the thrill. ❞ ( she's always been a good liar. )

with only the sound of a quiet clinking of gold, castorice's coin pouch has disappeared. although, the fact that there was a sound at all does show that cipher's announcing her presence rather than really trying to steal anything.

❝ you know, you really should keep this more secure. anyone could take it like this. ❞

and there's the coin pouch now, dropping from seemingly nowhere in the sky to right in front of castorice where she can catch it. cipher jumps down behind her.

❝ boo. ❞

The soft clink of coins echoes faintly as the pouch lands before her. Without looking, Castorice catches it, her lilac eyes narrowing slightly.

"A bold move, Cipher," she murmurs, her voice a blend of amusement and mild reproach. "Announcing your presence with the very sound that betrays your intent. Were you seeking my attention or merely testing your skills?"​

She turns slowly, her gaze settling on Cipher with a calm intensity.

"In Aidonia, such actions would be met with silence... and consequences. But here, I find myself intrigued."​

Stepping closer, the air around Castorice seems to chill slightly, a subtle reminder of her connection to the River of Souls.

"Tell me, what is it you truly seek? A challenge? A lesson? Or perhaps... something more ephemeral?"​

She extends a gloved hand, palm up, inviting yet enigmatic.

"Speak, and let the truth be unveiled."​
