The peak of the mountain calls out your name louder and clearer than the rest of the journey. It draws you in, by no fault of your own for after all, you forget most of the times that you are all but merely humans and nothing but humans. The peak calls out your name and you getting your backpack readied and shoelaces tied, begin the relentless pursuit to the top. The top of the world. You stand on the peak and as you feel the clouds just above your head , the wind close to your reach and the world looking like a Lilliputian's village beneath you, you feel powerful. You feel alive. You stand on the peak and shout out your name, laughing at the secrets of the world. You stand on the peak for hours at end, befriend your solitude and then satisfied with the momentary power you held, you start coming down. On the pursuit to the top, you forget to enjoy the journey. Leaving the people and the memories you could've cherished behind. In solitude, one does discover parts of himself that binds him speechless. DEVPRAYAG 🌸 . . . It is one of the five sacred confluences in the hills and is an important place of pilgrimage for devout Hindus. "Devprayag" means "Godly Confluence" in Sanskrit. As per Hindu scriptures, Devprayag is the sacred event of merging two visible heavenly rivers, Alakananda and Bhagirathi, to form the holy Ganga The town is the seat of the pundits of Badrinath Dham. The meaning of Devprayag is Godly confluence as "Dev" man's god and "Prayag" means confluence. Devprayag is considered to be a holy city for Hindus and therefore has a high degree of religious connect. CHOPTA 🏔️ . . थोड़ी दूर अभी सपनों का नगर अपना मुसाफिरों अभी बाकी है कुछ सफर अपना Chopta, a small hamlet located in Uttarakhand, it is a beautiful hill station and a superb trekking destination. Surrounded by meadows and evergreen forest with the spectacular views of mighty Himalayan ranges, Chopta not only attracts Indian but International tourists and trekkers all round the year. Chopta is the base camp for various trekking destinations like Tungnath and Chandrashila. The third temple of Panch Kedar is located in Tugnanath, around 3.5 km away from Chopta. Camping in the open grassy meadows of Chopta that slopes on softly, among alpine, pine, deodar and rhododendron trees is soul-fulfilling. The snow-covered peaks of Trishul, Nanda Devi and Chaukhambha dominate the panoramic views seen in Chopta. Chopta is also known as “Mini Switzerland”,located at an altitude of 2700 mts, in the Rudraprayag District of Uttarakhand State. It has a pleasant climate during May - July and September - November. Snow fall starts from November and remains till March. Chopta is also connected from major destinations of Uttrakhand state as buses for Rishikesh, Haridwar, Rudraprayag and Srinagar are available from Delhi ISBT Kashmiri Gate.
