http://beatdelete.co.uk/ is a fantastic site campaigning to repress some out of print classics, including King Geedorah's Take Me to Your Leader, Bonobo's Animal Magic and Roots Manuva's Brand New Second Hand.
It's a worth cause for some fantastic records, vinyl junkies need to get behind this!

Perhaps not his best track musically, but a fun piece that reminds us how we should be celebrating Donald Byrd's life and music in light of his tragic passing this week. RIP

Have to give love to this man on his birthday also. Can't not be appreciative of Jun Seba's output. R.I.P

Posted about Damu recently on this blog, but here's a track from his group Y Society with Insight. They created a underground classic with 2007's Travel at Your Own Pace and we've been waiting ever since for the follow up.
This track, Don't Do It (which appeared on Damu's 2010 release Supply for Demand) has been the duo's only release since and teases at the huge potential a second album could have. Brilliant track

Wasn't sure id be into the idea of Hardcore Will Never Die.. being remixed, but this Tim Hecker version of Rano Pano just turned me around. It takes Mogwai's fuzzy original and smooths it out, hand picking the gentler elements to create an entirely different feeling. I've seen the album get a few bad reviews, but this might prompt me to check out the rest.

Dibiase has been releasing music since around 2008, making old school boom bap with his own twist. The style presented from his beat tape Sound Palace here owes a lot to a certain prolific producer, but his more recent releases are certainly one of a kind. Good stuff

Not much needs to be said really. Other than the whole thing has far exceeded my expectation. Wonderful soundscapes, so happy it actually happened!

Guessing most have heard the fantastic new Bonobo track Circus that came out last week.
What you may not have heard is this unreleased cut from his Boiler Room set last year, expected to also feature on his upcoming fifth LP The North Borders. Its reminiscent of his earlier work, yet keeps the beat front and center as he did on Black Sands. Highly anticipated album.

One of my favorite house tracks from last year, coming from Andres. Great string samples over summery vibes. It's getting a repress for anyone that missed out last year and doesn't want to pay crazy discogs prices.

I admit to knowing very little about Gigi Masin, only that he his an Italian musician who put out a few ahead of their time ambient albums from 1986 to 1991. I HAD to share this stunning forgotten track from his album The Wind Collector.
His track Clouds has been sampled by Nujabes, Bjork  and To Rococo Rot.
Some great material that's worth tracking down, might be a what.cd job though.
