            Nowadays, people are into social media and posts anything to express and share their thoughts and opinions, as they are free to do so. Freedom of expression is a right that includes the power to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers. Although we have freedom of expression, we still have a duty and to behave responsibly to respect other people's rights. There is always a limitation or restriction in expressing our thoughts and opinions to protect public safety, people's rights and reputation, and especially our health and morals as it can help us in preventing disorder or crime and revealing of any information. 

What are the offensive contents? 

According to the LawInsider.com, offensive content is a defamatory, obscene, pornographic, gratuitously violent, or otherwise offensive. It is a content of email messages or Web pages containing:

Harassment; violence or threats

Defrauding or obscene material.

Accessing or publishing pornographic, sexual comments, or images.

Racial slurs or gender-specific comments.

Any comments that could reasonably offend someone based on their age, sexual orientation, religious or political beliefs, marital or parental status, physical features, national origin, or disability

            We should always remember to maintain order and freedom in social media and avoid posting offensive content, but how? To maintain order and right to all, ALWAYS THINK TWICE BEFORE POSTING ANYTHING AND ALWAYS ACT WISE FOR YOURSELF AND OTHER PEOPLE'S GOOD. Instead of posting offensive content, we should post acceptable content. Through this, everyone can use all media platforms freely and happily without the thought of hatred or causing harm to oneself.

Media and information literacy is an essential skill that all competent individuals must possess. We are currently living in a world that is wealthy in terms of information and technology. It is a medium for creating, exploring, and engaging in various ways to learn new ideas. However, every individual is different. Some are not literate enough in media, in information, or in technology. The reason why an individual should be literate in media, information, and technology is because they could gain many benefits and avoid misconceptions. One advantage of being a media and information technology literate is having proper judgment and another one is improving people's quality of life and political participation. It enhances their communicational skills and awareness, letting them be politically smart, and helping them become a better citizen.  People can broaden their knowledge in different environments and cultures. It helps them to be socially and economically aware of what's happening today in our world. Being a media and information technology literate is a power that enables an individual to connect on numerous things. It is a life-long process before we can actually thoroughly understand its context.
