Been a while. Here's Peach Momoko's design for Nico Minoru in "Ultimate X-Men."
That's right, she's an X-Man now.
Glad to see her show up somewhere since Marvel didn't bother to do much with the Runaways for their 20th anniversary last ýear.

Remember that comic from Timeless #1? Any word if that has been cancelled or not?
I've heard literally nothing in regards to what happened with that plot element. Let's assume nothing will, at least not until 2023 for the big twentieth anniversary.

Do you think the Runaways will be in the MCU?
For all intents, and purposes they already were. From the second season onward the show made conscious decisions to adhere to certain aspects of the MCU, to my best recollection the only thing that the show or film universe contradicts in regards to the other is the existence of two Tina Minorus.

(MIDNIGHT SUNS #1 By Ethan Sacks, Luigi Zagaria, and Antonio Fabela. September 2022.)
So can we all agree that the reason Strange Academy never came up during Rowell's run was because Trader Joes was just a cover?

It's wild that out of all the nearly finished DC Comics based films the one that they cancel isn't the one starring a lead wanted by police.
Can't say I was particularly excited for Batgirl, but outside of Blue Beetle it was the only DC film I had any intention of watching.
I suppose Blue Beetle is next on the chopping block. Sorry Xolo.

The Plot Thickens...

I find it amusing that both adaptations of Brian K. Vaughan's "Paper Girls" and "Y: The Last Man" both have episodes titled "Weird Al is Dead."
What with the less than flattering comments towards Mr. Yankovic in "Marvel's Runaways" I'm beginning to feel that BKV doesn't like Al very much.
Blueberry Pop-tarts also come up a lot in adaptations of his books. Wild.

Nico Minoru spending her Freshman year of Highschool in New York isn't actually that implausible for the character. The events of Runawayss don't take place until her Sophomore year at the earliest, and plenty of rich kids go away for school.

I hope Chase shows up to bully Peter.
I mean… I guess the runaways have met spider-man before but for Nico to become Pete’s bestie on the same level as Harry Osborn is wild

Happy Free Comic Book Day! I hope everyone had the chance to be a patron of their favourite comic shop, and throw a few dollars their way. Picked up a few more freebies than I usually do, and only had a few comics in my file at the shop but sometimes you don't go in with a plan.

365 Marvel Comics Paper Cut-Out SuperHeroes - One Hero, Every Day, All Year…
March 21st - Molly Hayes
Young Molly is a Mutant, possessing the X-Gene that can bestow super human powers.  Whereas most Mutants manifest such powers in adolescence, Molly’s powers came into bloom in her late childhood.  These powers include greatly enhanced strength and resiliency to injury.  Use of these powers quickly exhausts Molly and overuse causes her to fall into a deep, restorative sleep.  This may be due to her youth and it is likely that, when she is older, Molly will be able to use her powers without succumbing to exhaustion.
Molly’s parents had been Mutants possessing telepathic abilities. They were villainous members of ‘The Pride,’ a syndicate that controlled organized crime throughout the greater Los Angeles area.  The Pride had attained this control by way of a blood pact with the extra-dimensional force known as The Gibborim.
Molly and the other children of the Pride had been kept in the dark about their parents’ true nature.  They came to realize this terrible truth when they secretly witnessed their parents sacrificing an innocent victim to appease the The Gibborim.  Horrified that their parents were murderous villains, Molly and the other others fled and embarked on a series of adventures as the youthful team known as The Runaways.
With Molly being the youngest member of the team, the others felt a great deal of protectiveness toward her; something that she often found irksome.  Nonetheless, Molly quickly came to see her fellow Runaways as a family and she has acted as something of the heart of the team, keeping them together through good times and bad.
When The Runaways were apprehended, Molly was sent to The Xavier School to be trained alongside fellow Mutants.  Yet Molly had no interest in the school nor being an X-Men; and she was ultimately reunited with the rest of The Runaways for further adventures.
Actress Allegra Acosta portrayed a version of Molly in the Hulu television series, The Runaways.  The young heroine first appeared in Runaways Vol. 1 #1 (2003).
