God, we were in love

Backstory, I've been heavily drinking pretty much every day for about 6 years, and this year after a few scary alcohol related incidents I've decided to cut my drinking down significantly for the last 2 1/2 months (only a few times a week rather than every single day, I know that's still a lot but I'm a lot better than I was, I don't need it to sleep at night anymore).

My boyfriend's family's idea of fun is getting together and getting wasted, that's it. I feel crazy that I'm the only one who's been shaken by these incidents.

I know getting better isn't easy, and cutting back on one of the vices that get you through the day, I would know, I'm doing it. It's just lonely being the only one who's trying.
