I don't why, but I'm thinking about Linden Underground Contryard. Technically it's not mine, but it's like a home to me! It's in the western townhouse area of Megapolis, next to a house with linden imagery. And both secluded and cute, and the old man looks out for this place that was always nice to me. Originally it belonged to a yao before they moved out and re-registered it as a public square - that's why it's listed as a cultural legacy object. Two decades ago I've learned from a friend of mine it has a protective spell on it, perhaps that's why it wasn't comepletely wiped out yet. Despite the contryard being relatively small and humid, I'd still recommend visiting this place for fun as long as you don't invite 15 people at once. It's enterance is easy to mistaken for a back door - keep your eyes peeled for it — Jī Tuǐgū, later creating a sketch with an address on it

(Author's note: I don't actually know how cultural legacy object laws work and if the definition differ from country to country)

Changing the 'shroom's name, timeline, origins, connections and interests because some lore points were not convinient to keep as they were

Jī Tuǐgū - a Shaggy Ink Cap yao from Megapolis

About 100 years old physically and equivalent of human 25 y.o.

Any pronouns

Environmental engineer

Current voice claim: something similar to Jimmy Somerville’s high voice ( example )

Appearance

150cm, slim, pale, androgynous, messy shaggy hair. Always has a headband to pull their bangs back and shoes with thick soles or platforms to separate them from the ground. Prefers using outfits with black-and-white base and colour accents

Backstory

For centuries Tuigu was just a mycelium of Shaggy Ink Cap mushrooms that liked to listen to the city's citizens and learn from their experiences. Somewhere a century ago, the local mushrooms started to feel too sentient for the folk’s taste and became an urban legend about the suspicious spying ‘srooms. After a while people learned that’s not a part of a malicious scheme but a curious yao kid. The young yao spawned in the city and learned from private lectures it spied how to grow and dissolve its ‘shrooms fast and transform into a human child. In the end it was adopted into a family of chicken yaoguai as the youngest kid

Personality

They lament the fact they need to restore Megapolis’ green areas over and over again because of all those attacks. She is a chill-looking extrovert, likes outdoor activities, likes going into abandoned-looking places and talking about Megapolis’ modern lore. He tends to be too noisy and a know-it-all for their own good, but if they need to get out of trouble, they can dissolve into the ground and reappear somewhere else

Abilities

Transformation - can transform into human, chicken and maybe some other beings. As how JTTW Zhu Bajie has trouble transforming into something gentle and elegant, Tuigu can’t transform into something more threatening that an average human

Mushroom growth - can grow mycelium and fruiting bodies

Basidiocarp spying - can hear and sense things through its fruiting bodies

Dissolving - can dissolve its mushroom system and her main body into a cluster of slimy goo (just as Shaggy Ink Cap dissolves its cap into a slimy mess). He can move through the ground in this form. Can’t remain gooey for a long time or else it’s going to be overwhelmed

Advanced sense of chemistry - they’re just naturally more sensitive to the difference in chemical substance of objects and environment

Plant reading - understands hormonal plant signals to some extends

Bad sense of dao and magic - he did learned stuff but of boy their knowledge is lacking

Do I have plans for Tuigu? Not really except for @/lmk-oc-competition in August

Oof that’s a tough one, let me think a bit… …I’d like to be be more decisive about my lifestyle – I have an ability to learn about someone’s life, but I don’t use it, I work on a job that lets me to be around plants a lot, yet I can’t let of the city’s rhythm, and… Yeah, I would like to. Also I wish my hair were easier to maintain. There was a period of time when I had a buzz cut but it was harder to transform without the extra mass. When I glamour my hair it can be more manageable, but, yet again, it’s extra magic usage. The alchemical potions does help though - would recommend. – Ji Tuigu

I already had a mushroom OC not related to LMK and I created two LMK OC based on it. They were supposed to have opposing personalities and be a mentor and a mentee. I’ve brushed this concept under the rug due to a conflict with JTTW canon and I’ve focused on Ji Tuigu instead

Some of Ji Tuigu’s lore bits and personality traits were determined by their species traits (Shaggy Ink Cap mushroom) and bad puns out of species’ names on English and Chinese

Jī Tuǐgū:

Sying Zaohui:

Sying is an engineer scientist who excels in her work and tends to be more than happy to assist others and her coworkers. She had been stolen away to help build the Spider Queens mech under the city and have been missing for a few months. During her imprisonment down in the city’s underground Sying had befriend another human who was also in the same situation as her own. Under Spider Queens relentless threats and pestering she had grown to dislike her and talk to the demoness bluntly. That and the fact she had been kidnapped by one of their clan members Huntsman, and at first had feared him a bit because of it. On the day of New Years, she witnessed her friend become the test subject of the Spider Queens venom to transform the city to her empire. After the events of the Hero’s saving the day and curing the townspeople, Sying couldn’t leave her friend behind, having made a promise to him that she is determined to fulfill to the end. Even if he hadn’t remembered her well and renamed himself as “Syntax”. So when the Mayor and Lady Bone Demon had taken him and the others away as spirits, she would join the journey the hero’s will embark for the Three Rings of the Samadhi Fire in hope to free him and maybe find some confidence and recognize her self worth during her adventure.

Ji Tuigu has three older siblings - two sisters and one brother to be exact. Their personalities aren't very developed, but what's important is that they live separately currently and meeting with each other from time to time. Unlike Tuigu (who's adopted), they're chicken yao, some of them have children

Also, the splashes of colour in Tuigu's outfit is actually a reference to her siblings' fashion style

Jun:

Kind and gentle, Jun is seen as a mother figure to many. A shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, she will stay by your side and provide advice and comfort as needed. Jun would never turn anyone away that needed her help. Jun is quiet and soft spoken, but won’t hesitate to defend her loved ones physically or verbally.

Jun is a middle aged librarian in Megopolis, maintaining a mundane but content existence. For most of her life, she thought of herself as unassuming and simply wanted to continue her role as MK’s mother figure. But once she finally seemed settled into her life, it seemed her world had been turned upside down and constantly changes.

Throughout the series, Jun has to cope with the loss of her quiet life before MK picked up the Monkey King’s staff and face the challenges that come against her and the rest of the Monkie Kid Crew-as well as embrace the changes she finds herself going through in the process. She finds she has more power than she ever thought possible for a woman like her…

Pebble:

Pebble is self taught witch, learning by an ancient grimoire she conveniently found in a thrift store for five bucks. She focuses on helping citizens rather then fighting demons, primerely evacuates people from danger zones and assist with city reconstructions. Why do you think Megapolis looks as good as new after every battle? She works alone, but secretly wishes she could get to know other heroes.

I’d like to say I know all of you just to mess with you. But in reality, even if I recognise some faces, I try to not intrude into lives of people I may or may not spy - I’ve learned to not do it the hard way

There are a closed-off guy who is lurking in the strangest places. His body sounds like a mess and he has a marine air around him. I’ve kinda expected he would be dragged here for one reason or another, but I haven’t thought he’s a type of guy to take a spotlight. Seems like I overhear too much and learn too little huh. The person I did NOT expect AT ALL is the volunteer who tidies everything up! THAT is the WITCH who makes OUR WORK before our budget guy finishes the ROUGH PREDICTION!

Tuigu is WEAK. They're 5ft, they're a coward and all they can do is RUN and then have a VERTIGO

All Ji Tuigu's concept has is aesthetic, when Sying Zaohui's has a STORY, SHIP CONTENT, COMICS, ART, VIDEOS
