What I know about Investing in 2022 in 60 seconds.

1. The stock market sucks right now. Inflation, war, rising interest rates = less investing, etc. Last year it grew ridiculously and now it’s coming down from the high.

2. Apps are where it’s at. Fidelity, Webull, Moomoo, etc. have promos to get free stock and other sign up bonuses. You can purchase, track, and research in most apps. Some fees from the platform and government may be good research fodder but are generally not a big issue under $5000. So far the best promos for me were webull (promo link:

https://a.webull.com/ga6a1t5e188t88Lok9) My free stocks wre about $60 worth but the app has the most high verification sign up options since it has the pro investor options. But cash app was the simplest and easiest to start with. SoFi was a nice middle ground and also has a robo advisor account option. Haven't been impressed with my robo advisor but I like the idea.

3. Don’t want to research = Purchase an ETF aka Exchange Trade Fund or Mutual Fund managed by pros to follow a group of products. Vanguard S&P 500 (VOO) = Vanilla. Top stocks indexed into a fund managed by a pro to match the top company growth. You won’t be a millionaire but you can keep up with market growth and leave it alone.

4. Do want to research = Follow Warren Buffet’s advice and invest in things you know. Companies you worked with, used their services or products, researched previously out of interest, etc. IPOs are the high risk/reward intro of a stock that could climb or plummet.

5. There’s all kinds of math to estimate growth and market value that the pros are using. Just get an app that tracks crap like the PEG ratio and if a stock is under or over valued to estimate growth for you and save yourself the headache if you’re that “invested.” See what I did there. Wink wink. I'm trying Simply Wall St app and so far I like the snowflake charts and breakdowns. Going to have to see how it does after the premium trial expires.

6. Invest early if not big. The overall market grows exponentially and even if the market is crashing, then it means a cheap buy in. You may lose short term but get some ETFS or a few companies you trust and leave it alone for a few years. It'll probably double down while you're not watching. It's like the investment version of finding laundry money after cleaning a lint trap but you were a filthy heathen that left it alone too long and the money reproduced itself.

7. Don’t cash out for a year or worry a lot about when to cash out unless it's a high risk investment and you want to live your life like that. Short term gains (aka less than a year) from selling a stock are taxed much more heavily. Waiting is the top stock strategy.

People who try to invest me in canon need to understand that the material has a few hours to emotionally invest me in it's characters so I can then spend months obsessively wallowing in the fandom thanking those authors for supplying the level of catharsis and world building I need to move on from canon. Canon is inevitably a fling.

people who comment on fics just to say that they are re-reading and still cried/felt emotions/loved it are the greatest people on earth and should be given a thousand dollars.

Hey Dreamworks. How are you? Good? Great. That makes me really happy. Can we talk for a second?

You made boss baby into a tv series for Netflix. Fun! It was a cute movie, with a pretty decent story. Now maybe I’m being an obsessive fan here, but you made a movie a couple (almost six) years ago.

“Rise of the Guardians”. And that was pretty awesome too. With beautiful art. And good characters. It inspired me a lot. Not to mention helped me with my fear of the dark, and got me interested in art later on (To be fair I probably should have been over my fear of the dark by that age anyway, but honestly, I was ready to throw my nightlight out I was so confident then).

And I LOVED that movie. I still do. I mean sure, it’s probably forgotten by some people, and it didn’t do great in the box office, but:

It did do better than The Boss Baby. At least rating wise. I can’t really use the box office to back me up since The Boss Baby made roughly (according to my calculations, which are probably incorrect, please correct me if I’m wrong):

While Rise of the Guardians didn’t do quite as well:

But you can’t deny the ratings. People liked this movie!! You still have fans out there!! But we are a dying crowd. Your other shows are fantastic! Voltron, Trollhunters, I love them! And I think people would love a rise of the guardians show as well. Maybe 2D animation? Something simpler?

You could really explore this world more! The movie did have a great ending, but I just feel like there is more to explore! More characters! World building! Backstory for other characters besides Jack! (WHERE IS JAMIES DAD). I probably just sound like another girl still fantasizing over Jack Frost, and you’ll probably brush this off or not even see it. That’s fine. I’m not a fan because I think Jack is hot, I’m a fan because these characters formed my childhood. I just wanted to put this out there.

Theres a new generation of kids out there who can be inspired, just like I was! All because of a TV show about a movie that came out six years ago!! Isn’t that crazy? I know this dumb post on my irrelevant blog won’t do anything to get us a show, but this is something I’ve been thinking about for a while.

This movie has potential to be carried on in a TV show, with plot that couldn’t be carried through in another movie. Sure, you probably wouldn’t be able to get the original voice actors back. There are a lot of other incredibly talented voice actors out there who could carry these roles on fantastically! There are probably other reasons why this movie can’t be made into a tv show. That’s alright. I just wanted to put this out there.

I don’t want to put anyone in an uncomfortable situation, or be rude, or do anything that isn’t positive in this post. I’m not trashing on the Boss Baby! If you (Dreamworks) think it can be a good show, then I have high hopes for you! I’m sure you can make it great! I just don’t think it will get the same attention as other shows, like Voltron or Trollhunters. Like perhaps a rise of the guardians show would??? Maybe I’m insane. Sorry for bugging you all with a dumb post, but I just really love Rise Of The Guardians.

EDIT: I know you need Mr Joyce’s input on this before this goes anywhere. So Mr Joyce, is by some MIRACLE you see this, I want to to thank you for making my childhood full of wonder. Your stories deserve to be spread to another generation of boys and girls who need it more than ever right now. I know you probably don’t want them spread through a TV series, but I was introduced to these characters stories through the movie, and I think perhaps children could be introduced to them through a fun TV show. I sound insane, and needy, but this movie really does mean a lot to me. By no means do I intend to insult your work by suggesting the beauty of your stories can only be carried onto the next generation through a screen, that is not what I’m saying, I just think a new generation of kids could be shown these characters through it. You’ve done an incredible job. Thank you.

So spoilers of course. I've been thinking about Moriarty AU causality. For example, if they never met on the Noahatic then I think Holmes would still end up in a mystery game with Moriarty. But then he would probably assume that Irene Adler was killed for real without having William as a personality profile. I don't think William would give him his name in that scenario either. Since he would investigate Irene's death seriously, I think he would find out about James Bond and MI6.

Ultimately, from there I imagine it to be less about finding his archenemy, as crushing on the new frenemy, William, while Bond trolls the hell out of Holmes and confirming Mycroft is his archenemy #1 for hiding all the pretty, interesting people in a secret organization while Sherlock was bored as hell. So yeah. Still Sherliam with a side of Mycroft being a dick. Probably snide comments on how he'd offered his brother a job.

Villain Todoroki

Every time I imagine Todoroki as a villain I see him meeting Stain while Stain investigates Endeavour and getting adopted as a disciple. If you imagine that version of Todoroki going to UA then canon events get a lot more interesting but mostly stay the same. He would probably be under orders to infiltrate the next generation of Heroes and try to spearhead Stain's goals. The obsession with Izuku's connection to All Might would be the same and so would his approval of Izuku as a hero though Todoroki's motivation would be different. So event wise pretty much everything would be the same except for he'd be a closet yandere for Deku and probably plotting to kill Bakugou.

Vigilante Dad Might expanded

Last post was from a cell phone and kind of abbreviated. I enjoy vigalante Deku fics since they usually involve him becoming a vigalante since he can't resist meddling even when everyone tells him he can't be a hero. While other vigalantes usually have a political motive or an ego, he's just the same lovable meddling cinnamon roll with a side of butt kicking. I can see All Might becoming a vigalante for the same reasons if post injury, he was forced to retire.

Considering the dependency he fostered to maintain their peaceful society, I can see the politicians of the BNHA being afraid of the backlash if he tries to continue his hero role and slips due to his injuries. And I can definitely see full medical records being disclosed without his consent. To protect the image of a macho, untouchable hero, they'd probably prefer to make him a martyr by reporting him KIA in an epic battle and trying to transfer that image to select heroes of the "next generation" instead of risking people finding out they were covering up a "weakness."

This would last until the day he leaves the hospital with marching orders to retire or else and sees someone in danger. The coverup would be epic in scope because he has no self control when it comes to saving people, would constantly be appearing, and would probably be bashed in the media as an imposter. Most people would probably accept this as true with a determined enough campaign except for the die hards. cough Deku cough. I can see some of his connections helping him destroy any connections to his Toshinori ID, which I dont' see as being widespread knowledge, but still trying to pressure him into retiring for his own good. Which would lead to a financially stable but socially isolated All Might getting even more disaffected with society and his ability to help people.

The meeting with Izuku would start the same though I can see the diehard fan geeking out over him being the real All Might (conspiracy theory confirmed!) and promising to keep the true form a secret with even more gravity. Save explodo boy and get OFA. And a dad/son. ;) So much Dad Might. Take Toshinori's original apathy and depression and Izuku's lack of support from society and ramp it up since by now things have started to slide into dystopia territory.

Keep in mind, the word has been spread among the hero and villian intelligence communities that All Might was expected to die soon due to prophecy/injury/weakness/whatever. I can see threeish sides forming. The villians planning to finish the job or at least destroy his legacy and social stability if he dies before they can. The traditional heroes trying to keep the sinking ship afloat. And the vigalantes that want reform but lack a powerful central, moral figure and vision to unite. Stain is vaguely a vigilante leader but is too dark and ruthless to unite a new generation of heroes.

All Might can't send Izuku to a hero school in this society safely and focuses on training him. I can see him reconcilling with and bringing in Granpa Torino so he can give Izuku a legal cover and medical resources during the training period until they work the kinks out of OfA. Torino can see how being a mentor/dad to Izuku has revived Toshinori's will to live and spirit and finds himself going 100% in protect these stupid boys mode.

The three way war and social instability continue with Izuku meddling with the next generation and generating interest among them. The leaders don't see him as a threat but haven't pinned down any loyalties so he just seems like another naive pseudo vigilante running around.

Then a three way epic fight over Eri happens and big brother Izuku goes 100% full cowl against all comers to protect her from doing anything else she doesn't want to do. This includes Sensei, the pro heroes, Stain, etc. All the major players are after the deus ex machina girl. The resemblence to All Might would have ramped interest in Izuku overnight even before the presumed dead All Might shows up and uses the last of his power to rescue his successor (and adopt an Eri). They escape.

Chaos ensues.

Sunshine family tries to be lowkey and train because no one is taking anyone from this family. Toshi is 1000% motivated after adopting yet another child and starts looking into support tools to develop a fighting style to defend them. Izuka is pushing his full cowl limits and mother henning. Eri's learning to embrace her place as the princess of their idiot kingdom and getting enough control to designate herself their healer. Whoever finds them first is going to regret it. They are going to be kind, helpful, meddling BAMF heroes true to their own moral codes no matter how dark the world gets and anyone that wants to settle for half effort can leave them out of it.

Societal demand from the civilians, heroes, and vigilantes sick of years of lies, suppression, corrupt industry, rising villian threats, and disaffected heroes makes the successor of All Might (and family) the center of a hero revival instead. Sunshine family is confused.

Vigilante All Might

I love vigilante Deku and Dad Might. I'd love to see a vigilante All Might fic. Where they either tried to force him into retirement after his injury or the one for all successors are traditionally vigilantes and he still adopts izuku as his successor / son after being completely disaffected with his health and society. no one sees them coming.
