#i love this so much!!!!! #ciel always so cute and respectful!! #im cryingTT #this makes me so happy
Ciel × Tsuki Oneshot
Heyyyyyyy I'm making gifts for more of my friends and I got this done today <33 @tsukicielsfiancee I hope you like it
*
Ciel didn't have so many days free of obligation that he could afford to waste one.
Which was why, when he sent word to Tsuki to tell him what she'd like to do and she said she didn't mind as long as she was with him, he was frustrated. I can hardly give her all her heart's desires if neither of us know what those are, can I? He'd complained to Sebastian.
Nonetheless, with a little help and a great deal of almost supernatural luck, a solution was found just in time.
Tsuki arrived at the Phantomhive manor dressed as splendidly as ever. Ciel often wondered how much time she spent conceiving of the right dress for the day. Today, she had decided it was a cream-colored number with dove grey accents.
"Ciel, my love!" Her voice was soft on his ears even when she was calling out to him loud enough to be heard from across the drive. She practically leapt from her carriage and ran towards him, beaming. "I was excited when you said we'd get the whole day together. How often do I get you all to myself?"
Not often enough, Ciel knew. He often wondered if someone as sweet and likable as her shouldn't be with someone who had more time to devote to her. Yet as hard as it was to believe, he knew she wouldn't be happier with anyone else.
"Speaking of which, if you'd like to make the most of your time we should be on our way," Sebastian spoke up. Frustrating though that demon could be, he did know when to save Ciel from having to respond, lest he embarrass himself beyond recovery. That, at least, he could be grateful for.
Tsuki linked their arms as they made a start on their journey, and Ciel hoped she couldn't feel how he flinched when she did. No matter how long I've known her, she still manages to take me completely off guard.
If he didn't love her so much, he would hate that feeling.
"So, sweetheart, what do you have planned for us today?" Tsuki asked. Ciel had actually intended to have an answer for her when she asked that question, only Sebastian had never told him. Not for lack of trying on Ciel's part, of course. The reminder made his irritation at that fresh again and he glared at Sebastian.
"Your guess is as good as mine, dear," he replied, trying to keep his tone towards her soft.
Sebastian gave him another one of those smug, mysterious smiles. "As a matter of fact, I had only wanted to tell the both of you together. There's a festival being held in the city to welcome a foreign diplomat. It's said to feature a variety of cuisine and entertainment from his home region. Naturally, I took the liberty of arranging for the young couple to sample bits of all of it."
And I just had to be kept in the dark until the last minute? Ciel wondered.
Were it not for the excitement on Tsuki's face, he would have said as much. But there was no reason to spoil her fun, was there? There would be plenty of opportunities to express discontent with Sebastian; he created them often enough, after all.
"Ciel, you're not only using this little outing of ours to meet that diplomat, are you?" Tsuki asked. He wasn't sure if she was only teasing him or not; he rarely was. He prided himself on being good at reading people, he needed it in his line of work. But ten minutes with her and he was an idiot.
"I don't need such a flimsy excuse to spend time with my own fiance," he answered, already feeling heat rise in his face.
If he didn't love Tsuki so much, he might hate that as well; how easily she brought his emotions to sit just below the surface, poorly-hidden by his usual standards. She smiled, evidently satisfied with his honesty. It was a good thing he couldn't have come up with a lie if he tried, then. Well, at least there's that.
"Then how come you had the time to take a whole day off, darling? You keep yourself too busy, you know." He did know, if nothing else because Tsuki was always saying so. Her concern for him was charming. He'd admit that to himself, not to her.
"I've spent enough time working to tire of it," he brushed the question away. "I'd rather hear of what I missed in your life, dear." He spent the remainder of the ride listening to her talk of the gossip spread by her friends, the busy lives of the staff at her own house, and all her thoughts of tutors and classes and world events. Perhaps she had a point about not minding the specifics so long as we spend the day together, Ciel thought.
One more thing he couldn't bear to admit anywhere outside his own mind.
When they arrived at the festival, Ciel could tell Tsuki wanted to leap out of the carriage right away. But he had her wait, so he could step out first and offer his hand for her to steady herself as she climbed down.
"Always such a gentleman, young master," Sebastian said. Ciel glared at him.
I won't have you making me nervous, he thought. This will be a good day for her. For them both, if he could find some way to enjoy himself as well.
If it weren't for Sebastian's itinerary, they might have gotten lost in the maze that had started at the designated festival location and rapidly grown out from it. Like a weed, Ciel thought. But Tsuki was intrigued by everything, and most of all by his thoughts on them.
"I think that one might have been my favorite," Tsuki said as they left a food stand she'd spent all their time at talking to the vendor about spice and vegetable choices. Not as though either of them had a reason to understand those things— they weren't chefs, that was Bard's job to wreak havoc at— but Tsuki had been interested. Ciel couldn't deny her any request so simple.
As they walked off, Ciel pulled Sebastian aside. "Collect the recipe," he instructed quietly. "Have it made the next time Tsuki visits the manor." If Sebastian had any clever remarks to offer in response to that, he wisely chose not to share them.
The day dragged into evening as they flitted from stand to stand and group to group.
Street performers regaled them with brief skits depicting popular stories from around the world. Mey-Rin babbled and giggled about a romantic sketch so fervently that Ciel wondered if he ought to have Sebastian arrange for a doctor to visit the manor some time to assess the health of his staff.
A magician released a pair of doves from the outer layers of Tsuki's sleeves, and Tsuki swore she had never felt them find their way in there. Finny, of course, declared it must be real magic then.
Bardroy disappeared briefly only to return with enthusiastic new ideas for the kitchen at Phantomhive Manor.
For the sake of keeping his outing with Tsuki cheerful, he left that to Sebastian, and hoped the manor wouldn't be burned down any time soon.
Evening crept up on them, and the festival drew to a close. Ciel hadn't realized so much time had passed, but if Tsuki was happy he supposed he didn't really mind. Sebastian guided them through a growing crowd, and all the while Tsuki held his hand tight, tactfully pretending not to notice how bright red his face was.
"There's only one event left in the evening," Sebastian told them all. "I purchased close seats to the main stage for it on behalf of the young Phantomhive and his fiance."
Tsuki took her seat without ever releasing his hand, and when Ciel was seated she leaned her head on his shoulder.
When the first round of the last event was brought out, three of their merry little group gasped aloud. "Fireworks!" Finny exclaimed. "How come Sebastian didn't tell us?" When does he ever see fit to enlighten the rest of us about his designs? Ciel wondered.
The colors exploding against the darkening sky made a pretty sight, Ciel could admit. Not as pretty as Tsuki's face under the changing light, flickering through her hair and glittering in her eyes, but pretty.
And when the show was over, Tsuki turned quickly to the side and planted a chaste kiss on Ciel's cheek.
"We ought to be getting home, dear," Ciel said. He had to keep his voice low in order to keep it even, but he hoped that made it seem affectionately soft and not horribly flustered. "The city isn't as safe at night."
Tsuki nodded in agreement but made no comment until they were safely returned to their carriage. "Thank you for taking me out today, Ciel. I had an amazing time."
"Of course," Ciel responded, looking out the window. Their hands were still joined and it was almost the only thing he could think about. "I wouldn't have you make the journey to your own home so late. You ought to stay the night, if you'd agree to return with me."
It was Tsuki's turn to blush now.
She recovered easily, and answered with effortless enthusiasm, "Well— if you say it's all right, love then yes!" Ciel chose to focus on that, and not the sound of the three idiots behind him giggling. You'd think they were schoolchildren, he thought bitterly.
At the Phantomhive manor, he had a set of soft clean nightwear given to Tsuki to change into in her chambers, which were adjacent to his so they could see each other first thing in the morning. Sebastian prepared it all remarkably quickly, especially on such short notice.
Everyone else was mercifully sent away so they wouldn't be there to see this last part, this most important part.
"Tsuki," he interrupted before she could go into her chambers for the night. "I'm… grateful that you accompanied me today. I wouldn't have enjoyed myself nearly so much without you." He felt ridiculous speaking this way, but it was something she needed to hear. And, he could admit— once again, never aloud— it was something he needed to say.
"You'd never have gone without me, beloved," Tsuki said with a rueful smile. "I'm sorry for dragging you out today."
"The outing was all Sebastian," Ciel brushed her off. "Though I am happy you enjoyed yourself, dear." He looked at her for a long moment, searching her dark eyes for anything he could see in there.
It caught him off guard worse than ever when she closed them, leaned forward suddenly, and kissed him again. Just another chaste peck, but this time on his lips.
"I'd enjoy myself anywhere as long as I was with you, my heart," she answered, before quickly saying, "Goodnight Ciel, darling," and disappearing into her room to let him turn cherry-red all on his own.

April is sexual assault awareness month, so here's a reminder: Your F/O will always respect your limits
Tumblr media
💙 You don't want to be touched in certain ways? No problem! Your F/O is more than happy to show you affection in different ways, whatever feels more comfortable for you
🪽 You don't want to have sex? Completely fine! Your F/O will never see you as a disappointment or lesser than for it, they love you so much more than just for your body and the pleasure it can provide them
💙 You don't want to engage with certain kinks/fetishes/sexual activities altogether? That's okay! Sometimes things just aren't your cup of tea and there's nothing wrong with that. Your F/O is always proud of you for enforcing and communicating your boundaries
🪽 You dislike certain pet names and words during intimate moments? Noted! Your F/O will keep it in mind and maybe even test out different terms to call you, they'll do anything to make you feel treasured and heard
💙 You don't want to revisit your trauma or tell your F/O about it? Entirely alright! Sometimes it's best to focus on the future, while keeping in mind how the past has brought you to the present. You don't need to prove anything to your F/O, they'll always believe you and care for you
🪽 Your F/O is proud of how far you've made it, despite all the hurt and hardships you've encountered and dealt with in your life. They have so much love and respect for you, and that goes way beyond your trauma
💙 Your body is your very own and your F/O will always respect your comfort, wellbeing, boundaries and safety. They will always do their best to show you all the love and care that you've always deserved
