One more progress photo. I'm finally seeing the beginnings of abs coming out. It's an amazing feeling and I really never thought I'd be able to see them.

Baby abs, I like seeing you. Come out more often. Hoping if I lean down another 5-10 pounds they will be more visible.

I haven't posted in a long-ass time, and I'm really sorry to have abandoned this blog for so long. I had a lot of things going on, and life sort of caught up with me. But here's my progress so far! The picture on the left is from DAY ONE of my lifestyle change. The picture on the right is from about a week ago.
There have been so many days where I've fallen off the wagon, but I just have to remind myself that it's okay to have days where I eat a cupcake or stay in bed all day; as long as I keep going, I will eventually get to where I want to be.

Change is possible. It’s been a little over a year and a half of trial and error, clean eating, cardio, and weight lifting. Still looking to improve every day, but I can’t say I’m not happy with how far I’ve come. Left picture- 160 lbs, right picture- 136 lbs.

ULTIMATE WORK OUTS FOR YOUR BUTT
Barbell/dumbbell exercises - These are what you need to do with heavy weight if you want to make your butt BIGGER. Everything else will help make your butt rounder and firmer, but will not add significant size.
romanian deadlifts
squats (really deep, feet wide and pointed out, knees pointed out too)
bulgarian split squats
barbell glute bridges/hip thrusts
high step ups
Cardio/plyometrics - This stuff is great for shaping your butt while challenging your heart at the same time.
hill sprints
squat jumps
dynamic step ups
lunge jumps
box jumps
plyo step ups
lateral box jumps
lateral box shuffles
lateral bounding
Brazil Butt Lift - the “bum bum” workout
kneeling jump squats - these are on my “to try” list for when I’m stronger
Bodyweight exercises - I do these when I don’t have access to a gym. You can make these more challenging by holding heavy stuff like gallon jugs full of water.
glute bridges (try single leg)
hip thrusts (try single leg)
pistol squats (there are hard!)
single leg deadlifts
glute ham raises (you’ll need something or someone to hold your feet)
lunges (reverse, walking, etc.)
bulgarian split squat
high step ups
Other:
seated band abduction
stability ball back extensions
monster & sumo walks
butt blaster (hip extension) machine
hip abduction machine - lean forward with butt lifted to target upper & outer glutes, see 4:25 on this video

I remember I was eating Mcdonald’s takeout while watching the Tyra episode where she said this! Haha. But I really like this quote because it tells me to work with what I already have. This reminds me that I should work to change my size, not my shape, because really, these hips and boobies aren’t going anywhere!

1. Do NOT diet.
Dieting doesn’t work. I’ve tried all the diets. I would be able to keep a diet up for a few days. But then I would have a day where I would crash, and binge eat. Rather than trying to diet to lose weight, try to slowly improve your eating habits. Instead of eating 5 junk...
