𓈒ㅤׂ 𝜗𝜚 “MORNING, cook,” you yawned, slowly passing into the kitchen of the sunny. pushing back the chopping board full of fruits, sanji turned to look at you, cigarette already resting between his lips. at the sight of you, he took it out and puts it in the ashtray. morning light flooded the kitchen, the glossed-over wood glimmering and the water droplets on the fruits glittering. luffy was outside, nami was tending to the oranges outside and the others were someplace else, enjoying the calm hours of the morning.

“good morning to you too,” sanji chuckled at your tired voice— a laugh full of love. “here, i’ve made some tea for you. it’s still warm.” he said while walking over and leaving a soft kiss on your forehead; the fluttering feeling in your tummy never left you, even now. if there was something that was a manifestation of your love, it would be a gentle flower, its sweet scent mellow yet empowering, filling your senses with him— a delicate yet persisting love.

the idle noise of sanji’s chopping filled the room, rhythmic and gentle. before the entire crew woke up and crowded for breakfast, there were the few golden hours you got to spend with the cook while he prepared the day’s food. despite the silence, these were the moments you adored— just watching your boyfriend in his element before the rush of the day. and to sanji— just having you behind him, your presence alone— was enough to make this the highlight of his day. his shoulders slackened in relaxation and the room felt bright; time dilated yet felt so short. soon, luffy would barge in, followed by the rest of the straw hats, and the day would begin.
