The Mystery Council

Recent rumors have been spread throughout campus about some sort of mystery council. Nobody really knows who’s in it or what the purpose is. Nobody has even managed to find this mystery council (or at least they don’t remember finding it). There is various speculations on how these rumors came to be. There is debate as to whether or not it truly exists.

Despite these rumors, there is a certain group of students who know the truth. They know because they are the ones running this Mystery Council using the secret tunnels throughout the campus. The purpose of this council: overthrow the current Dorm Leaders.

Every one of my OCs are in this council, except for Vianna, Sunny, staff members, and students from other schools.

They all have their own motivations for joining. There are those who have important roles in the Mystery Council.

Founder: Morgan Ashengrotto- He put the council together in the first place. He attends all the meetings. His motivation for creating this was became he did not like Azul being his Dorm Leader and wondered if there were others who felt the same about their Dorm Leaders and wanted to do something about it.

President: Francois Pyre- He was elected President by the other members. He oversees the meetings. (Book 1 Spoilers) You know how Riddle became looser with the rules after his Overblot? Francois did not like him being loose with the rules at all. That’s why he joined immediately when offered an invitation. He made Alphonse join too.

Vice President: Gigi Amaryllis- He became the Vice President because he got second place to Francois. He compromises with Francois if a decision needs to be made and there are opposing opinions. He joined the Mystery Council because he was jealous of Vil’s beauty and the respect he was given by the entire dorm.

Recruiter: Abdul Amir- He was the first one approached by Morgan. He accepted and carefully invited the other members. He had to be careful with his choices to make sure they weren't betrayed. (Book 4 Spoilers) His reasoning for joining is because he was Jamil's first friend in NRC and he also thinks that Jamil got cheated out of his position as Dorm Leader when Kalim arrived and instantly got appointed to Dorm Leader.

Informant: Ishir Kanan- He gathers any information that might be important and relays it to the council. Nagini is very helpful with this due to people talking in his day spa. The reason he joined is because he wants to prove that he is the strongest, even stronger than his Dorm Leader.

Peacemaker: Nagini Phani- He uses his unique magic in order to keep everyone calm because even in the Mystery Council there can be some pretty intense fights. As per the name he keeps the peace. He joined because he wants to help Ishir reach his goal because Ishir helped Nagini set up his spa.

Treasurer: Neander Abhiratha- His job doesn't require a lot of work, however if the council ever need to spend money for anything (tunnel repairs, uniforms, special materials, parties, lunch, ect.) he figures out the cost. How quickly everything can be paid for depends on how much everyone is willing to pitch in. Neander joined because he genuinely wanted to help Idia. He figured that part of the reason Idia feels stressed out so much is because of his Dorm Leader position. He sometimes worries if joining was the right decision. It didn’t turn out to be what he expected at all.

Head of Security: Sage Asterope- The Trick-or-Treat trio is all a part of the security for the tunnels. If an intruder stumbles upon the tunnels their job is to capture them and use Damien's unique magic to make the intruder forget they were ever there. Sage is in charge because he takes more of the leadership role and comes up with the best ideas. There is no special reason he joined. This is all just fun for the security team.

The rest of them are supporters. They do what they can to help out or go on special missions when they are needed. Supporters don't necessarily need to go to the meetings, but they're always invited. Those with important roles will inform those who didn't attend what happened in the meeting.

What happens in the Mystery Council is mostly discussions on how to overthrow the Dorm Leaders either individually or as a group. Their plans never seem to work. That doesn't stop them from trying though! By being very careful (and by having great security) they haven't been caught yet. Even if they are eventually caught having discussions of challenging Dorm Leaders is completely within the rules. Giving students amnesia is not, but nobody needs to know that. They would prefer to keep their plans secret though. They really don't need any of the dorm leaders finding out about their council.

I personally love the Dorm Leaders, however that doesn't mean my characters have to. I feel like these motivations and emotions add to their characters. Feel free to ask any questions!

What happened between Morgan and Azul to make them drift apart?

Morgan and Azul were close when they were younger, but not so much anymore. As Azul got better at magic Morgan started to fall behind and he noticed that whenever the two of them were compared Azul was always the better of the two. This caused Morgan to feel a certain dislike towards his brother. Azul does not know why his brother is constantly upset with him. Morgan tried separating himself from Azul as much as possible in order to stop these comparisons. Eventually he tried to better his skills to prove that he could be better than Azul and he gets more upset the more Azul succeeds. Azul wants to try and keep a decent relationship with his brother, however Morgan is not very compliant to the idea.

Ramshackle OC Fun Facts

-For what Vianna lacks in magical power she makes up for in physical ability.

-She hates camping and Vargas Camp made her like the activity even less.

-Vianna grew up in an orphanage in Chicago.

-She thinks of Grim and the Ramshackle ghosts as her family.

-Half of the time Vianna sees Crowley as a father figure and the other half of the time she wants to lecture him for being an irresponsible adult.

-Vianna is heavy sleeper. She will grab the nearest person and hold them. The only thing they can do at that point is wait until she wakes up.

-Vianna will repeat the entire plot of her favorite movies/books to whoever will listen.

-She really loves making handmade gifts for her friends. She's great at making plushies.

- She can and has scaled walls in the past. One time she thought she was going to be late for a class, so she just scaled the side of the building. Afterwards Vianna got scolded by Trein for risking her safety and Vargas tried to convince her to join a sports club.

-Everytime Vianna thinks she has fixed all the roof leaks for Ramshackle another one manages to show up.

-She sings while she's cleaning, during her morning routine, and during her night time routine.

-If she asks someone if she can brush their hair they are officially considered a friend.

Diasomnia OC Fun Facts

-All of them agree that Halloween is the best day of the year.

-Sage gets cravings at random times. Since he can't cook (and he knows it) he will wake Alphonse up in the middle of the night to make food.

-Damien makes his own puppets. Some of them are modeled after people he knows.

-Cade is a musical prodigy and can play almost any instrument.

-The three of them met at the sorting ceremony before getting sorted. They clicked almost instantly and they've been friends ever since, although they do tend to bicker from time to time.

-Sage likes to pull pranks (nothing actually harmful). His favorite people to prank are Sebek and Francois.

-Damien put wheels on a bathtub and now he gets his friends to find random large hills to speed down with him and hopefully not die.

-Given the opportunity Cade will wake people up by playing meme songs on his instruments.

-All of them agreed to stay in school for winter break to try and kidnap Santa Claus. Everyone came back that year to the lounge covered in bear traps. It's a miracle nobody got hurt.

-Sage's favorite type of theatrical performance is musical comedy.

-Damien's gamer tag was chosen because of his love of puppets: Master_of_Puppets. (Yes. I did reference a Metallica song.)

-Cade found Charolette in a pumpkin patch and decided to keep her. The little pet usually hangs around in his pocket, but sometimes she'll shoulder ride.

Ignihyde OC Fun Facts

-When they were kids Ares and Janus convinced Neander he was adopted for 2 years.

-Astrology would be Ares's best subject, but he gets distracted by personal research too much to actually complete the assignments on time.

-Janus has a gaming channel where he live streams. His favorite games to play are horror games.

-Neander joined the Film Studies club because he wants to get experience making special effects for movies.

-The three of them are the cousins of the Fates Idol group.

-Ares likes to create tapestries of constellations in his free time.

-Janus can play the guitar and drums.

-Neander fed stray dogs in the neighborhood when he was little.

-Neander is always the first to fix technology for his brothers. Ares has never been good with technology and Janus is hopeless once his computer breaks. The two of them always get their younger brother a gift afterwards.

-Ares has those glow in the dark stars on his ceiling.

-Janus plays a lot of multiplayer games with Damien.

-Neander has heard stories of the Island of Woe and has always wanted to find it, however he has never gotten far.

Pomefiore OC Fun Facts

-Gigi has nicknamed everyone after flowers. Sunny is Sunflower, Harry is Flanders Poppy, and Patchwork is Ladybird Poppy. In return Gigi gets called Gardener.

-Gigi is often called motherly by other dorm members.

-Sunny has always wanted to go to Royal Sword Academy, but Gigi convinced him to go to NRC. At the end of the semester he's going to try convincing Gigi that he should transfer.

-Harry wants to create his own romance manga one day.

-Patchwork likes to collect different tiny sculptures made out of pottery. In his bedroom at home he has a glass case shelf that he keeps all of them in.

-Sunny met an RSA student, named Rebel, at the VDC and they started dating. Gigi disapproves of Sunny dating anyone, especially someone from RSA. It turns out the Crook twins used to be childhood friends with Rebel, but they became enemies after a betrayal in middle school. Rebel is a touchy subject to say the least.

-Gigi and Sunny have incredibly rich parents. Although they haven't seen their parents in many years they've managed to take care of themselves because their parents keep wiring money to Gigi's bank account. Their house is also incredibly huge.

-Sunny was adopted by Gigi when he was twelve. Sunny doesn't remember anything about his life before getting taken in by Gigi.

-Harry and Patchwork hid their interests before getting sorted into Pomefiore. They thought they'd get teased for them. Ever since the sorting they've been able to come more out of their shells.

-Harry goes to all of Patchwork's spelldrive games. Patchwork goes to all of Harry's basketball games.

-They all think of each other as brothers and treat each other like any other family.

-Never go shoe shopping with them! They all want to look at different shoes and it will take hours. Gigi likes high heels. Sunny likes sandals and flip flops. Harry likes sneakers. Patchwork likes ballet slippers.

Scarabia OC Fun Facts

-Abdul’s first friend at NRC was Jamil.

-He makes sarcastic comments constantly.

-He has a pretty good way of making money. Abdul will use his unique magic and take a class in someone’s place if they want to skip. Test days have a higher price.

-Abdul absolutely loves parrots. He always volunteers to take care of them whenever they’re needed for a dorm parade. He teaches the parrots swear words and acts like he doesn’t know where they heard it from.

-Kalim keeps trying to get him to try food spreads with crackers and he refuses every time.

-He loves shiny things so much. Abdul had taken a couple of gems from the treasure room. Kalim doesn’t mind anyway.

-He joined the Film Studies club in order to better his acting.

-Sometimes when people want to see what they’ll look like with an outfit on they’ll pay him to transform and try on the outfit. It’s better to see every angle instead of looking in a mirror.
