Loud screams echoed the dark hallways of the mansion, when sounds of hurried footsteps hitting the marbled tiles following where the source came from. The alpha breathing heavily when he finally stops in front of a door and opens it in an instant.

His and his wolf feeling a large boulder crash into their heart when he sees his mate crying, sobbing hysterically, hugging her knees with her back stuck on the headboard.

"I'm sorry a-alpha" the little girl said looking up revealing her teary face.

'She must have felt bad for screaming' The man quickly dashes into the bed and pulls his mate into a bone crushing hug, whispering sweet words in her ear

"Breathe, My omega, I'm sorry I'm sorry I took so long. Let me shield you please, away from your tormenting past. Rest in my arms and lay your hand in mine" he said soothingly, kissing the top of her head after
