three years after Sherlock S4 and the entire show including johnlock now feels like a distant memory. like an ex-boyfriend whom you had a crazy, exhilarating, incredible relationship with. you thought you would love him forever but now you see him on the street and you both say hi awkwardly but there’s nothing there anymore. he feels like a stranger now. hard to believe you used to fall asleep in his arms and tongue wrestle with him.

but real talk, sometimes, i miss sherlock and john like they were real people. wouldn’t it be nice to just be able to text john and tell him you’re dropping by 221B with goodies for rosie and when you get there, you’re ushered up the stairs by a chatty mrs hudson and the first thing you see in the living room is sherlock and john and rosie huddled up on the couch watching some kind of family movie and sherlock is hissing at the ridiculous plot and rosie is laughing and john is looking at both of them fondly and you and mrs hudson almost leave because it feels like you’re interrupting A Moment

just briefly coming up for air from adulting to say that I remember those years when we’d look forward to new year’s because there would be new sherlock episodes and I miss that feeling. i know you do too hold my hand

Ok but think about John being an urban explorer/YouTube vlogger and one time he sees Sherlock in some old, abandoned building with his coat dramatically swishing behind him but he vanishes so quickly that John thinks he’s a ghost. He captures it all on camera and his YouTube followers are so fascinated because they also think maybe Sherlock’s a ghost.

hey you beautiful people visiting my blog and liking random stuff even if I hardly post anything new these days -- thank you. i wish I could make more posts to make you smile but ah, such is adulting. we fill our days with things that don’t really mean anything, but we have to because survival.

i miss bbc sherlock. i miss how fandom used to be. i miss making headcanons and quick fics. i miss yelling and squeeing with y’all about john and sherlock. even though we barely do that anymore these days.

anyway. i just wanted to send out some hugs and love and light to you. whoever you are, reading this. i hope your days get better.
