KIKTAPO RELATIVES☺️ This morning I awoke missing Oćeti Śakowin, in the most beautiful ways...not the way I use to, with heart ache and trauma filled tears...not today. My heart is filled with all the love and beauty of my precious memories, heart filled experiences with amazing siblings who lived that camp life and who feel it everyday...in our heart beats. Yesterday, I was blessed to attend inipi (sweat lodge ceremony), it was the first time I attended as a participant and wasn’t running the inipi since Standing Rock. When those first seven rocks came in, and the first dipper of water was poured, the door was shut and it went dark...all of a sudden a helicopter flew over and for a few moments, I forgot where I was. For those few moments my ptsd blessed me to be transported back to the sweatlodge at camp...I loved it. I didn’t want the ceremony to end❤️ There was so much beauty in the songs, the prayers and from the spirits. I learned so much yesterday and was humbled. It also felt so healing and so good to check back in at camp...so this morning, after dropping my girls off st school, I had to engage in this feeling and offer prayers for all my loved ones, chosen family, Water Protector siblings and support systems. I no longer ache for Oćeti Śakowin or the Two Spirit Nation Camp the way I use to...it still hurts to know our physical structures will never re-exists the way we co-exsisted as one Tiyośpiyé, but it no longer aches me in a trauma filled way, because I know we carry Oćeti Śakowin and the heart felt impact it made within all of us. We carry it inside of us because we received the medicine our ancestors called us there to receive...cherish it, respect it and offer it in all the ways you can for the Oyaté✨ Empower yourself, honor yourself, smudge yourself...it’s the best way to put on your spiritual armor to start a new day. Today is more than just the Spring solstice, the Wakinyan Oyaté (Thunder Beings) have returned. I’ve been taught by my Lakota teachers that it’s the symbolism of renewed energy...that lightning bolt that sparks life into embryos, when the heartbeat starts to beat for the first time and becomes living Spirits⚡️ At the Two Spirit Nation camp, I taught our campers what was passed down to me, that winter is the symbolism of the end of the cycle, that it was time to let the snow purify and do it’s work. Because in the fall, we were seeing Mother Nature teach us from the green color leaving & falling of leaves. (In the Northern Plains we get the four seasons and they go with our ceremony’s and the Lakota Star knowledge). I taught how in the winter, we learn from the Big Dipper, how it’s standing upside down, showing us what time it is...and in the spring we are pouring out all that we are carrying and recieve the energetic awakening so that organic energy can be rebirthed into us. And when the Wakinyan Oyaté return, they are the symbolism of life, the season of new life (that spark when the heart starts beating in the embryo). The Wakinyans give the flowers and leaves that energy to start budding and awakening. For the hybernating animals to wake up now. For the sun to shine it’s brightest. This is why we prepared and called them back. And emptied our dippers...and it was so beautiful and symbolic that I was gifted a copper ladle dipper over the weekend at ceremony. Before the ceremony, I went out to the ocean, and sang and called back the Wakinyan Oyaté...I gave my offering for my Tiwahé (my lil’family, the girls and I) and the many Tiyośpiyé that I belong to, for all my chosen Loved Ones, the Two Spirit Nation, my Water Protector siblings and for my blood family. I offered and asked for all of your growth, protections and rebirthing energy. Then I wiped off my eagle wing fans in the ocean. I wasn’t in the Black Hills to climb to the tallest peak & partake in the ceremony, so I went to the ocean...to hear the crashing waves and get as close as I could to the energy of the roaring, rumbling Thunder Beings. It was one of the most memorable ceremonies that I will carry with me for a lifetime! We spent the weekend at the coast to gift & receive doctoring, healing and LOVE with some amazing spirits...it was exactly what I have been needing, the best way to call back the Wakinyan Oyaté and doctor our sibling...wrapped in love, drenched in beauty, under the STAR NATION, with a New Moon, while being cleansed by the rain and sleet. This was a first, but not our last Ceremony on the beach. I am looking forward to the upcoming ceremonies with our siblings and circle of Loved Ones❤️ Last night I got blessed by the Ocean medicine, and wiped off my eagle wing fans...I stood in the ocean and connected. Today my girls went back to public school...it is BITTERSWEET❤️✊🏾⚡️ I never fully felt that word wholeheartedly, the way I did this morning. We turned in all the paperwork last week and they got their schedules on Friday. We decided to start fresh with a brand new week. I gave them my all these past seven months of home school, they grew and healed in the most beautiful ways. And last night, Helina told me that for the first time, she doesn't have anxiety and it felt so good to be so confident...she asked me if this is what getting over your anxiety feels like...when she said this, she fed my spirit the most beautiful medicine❤️ Breana was up extra early and had their backpacks organized and ready. She got herself ready the night before and was her beautiful, super glam self this morning!!! She said she had a lot to teach her teachers and new school mates🤓 They didn't want me to walk them in, they said they were ready to take on the system and bring in some Indigenous Two Spirit energy to their new middle school🌈✊🏾⚡️❤️💛💚💙💜 I put my Baby Bears first and our healing this past year...thank you to all who has been patient with me, for those who needed or wanted my attention and I wasn't able to hold space. I will now be focused on launching forward with the new time and space I have...now that my girls are back in school and I am no longer their daily school teacher....just their heart, energy, love & spiritual guide/Mama Bear. We are energy, we speak in energy, we exude energy...we can even feel each other's pejuta (medicine). We are shifting astronomically, economically, environmentally, and politically. To deny that we are not elevating at higher vibrations is to be in denial of your own spiritual gifts. I have been intentional about doctoring myself, healing myself and being unapologetically connected to my ancestors. In this time I have taken to be gentle with myself, I have chosen to feel all the hard parts and feel the growing pains...so that I could lean into the unknown and grow. Wopila Tanka for all the love and support that I was blessed with over the weekend. I am especially grateful to those who traveled the distance to come support. It was the push that I needed being head dancer, to continue receiving all the beauty and energy from loved ones and new friends. I especially am thankful to the BAAITS Powwow committee for giving me time to honor this healing process and offer a healing ceremony...this Powwow is literally over water, on a Pierre across from Alcatraz. I didn't get to take much photos this year because I was always in motion. I'm looking forward for next year's Powwow and to continue dancing throughout the year🌈💛💚💙💜✊🏾⚡️💋

Today was a tough day Phô sho😂 Hanwin/La Luna (the moon) pulled hard on my heart strings✨🌖⚡️💫💛 I cried lots, prayed hard & doctored my daughters and I. I want to thank all those who checked in on me and sent loves in all the ways that you did, I received it whole heartedly😘 Then my sister/friend Megan Martinez treated us to a Phô dinner after reading my earlier post from today❤️ She drove us to the auto store to recycle my old battery and we bought a new one... I even replaced my battery myself. I showed both my girls how to take out the old one & how to install the new battery.
