     I mostly wear comfortable clothing that are very versatile and adaptable to certain occasions. Here’s an example of what I usually wear during blank and mundane days where I feel mostly lazy to dress up and think of great combinations. You can wear this too if you feel the same way hahaha.

Front Runner

     Hello GUYS how's it going? Another blog entry is up and it's about my present top picks! These are my heavenly vessel and go-to items as of the moment. I abuse these items way too much because who wouldn’t? How about we cut the gab and get down to business. Read this!

    As an avid fan of all things beauty and fashion, I tend to buy a lot of things that are too much for my liking. Then,  once upon a time, I stumbled upon key items that I think are essential for my closet and my whole existence of girl-dom.

First,

FRAYED JEANS - Been addicted for ripped jeans for quite some time now and then suddenly shifted to these. It’s very comfortable to use plus it’s also very stylish. The look paired with these jeans are so versatile. I’m gonna work on an outfit post about my frayed denim culottes so stay in tune for that. *winks*

HIGHLIGHTERS / ILLUMINATORS - As you all know, I’m mostly obsessed about getting that “dewy glow” that’s why I never forget to add some highlight on my make-up routine. I will never EVERRR get tired of highlighters but as of the moment, I’m loving all these babies shown above.

 Well Thank God for these!!! You can easily beautify any plain t-shirt, skirt, jeans, jacket and the like by adding patches! I love these because they are so easy to put in a blank canvass and then after it settles, BOOM! You have a hella-fine staple item. Just make sure that the colors are well coordinated and are related with the same color scheme so that it’d have a theme. 

YEP, they look very masculine but they also look very stylish. I prefer adding a girly touch to it by either making a DIY crop top out of it or by tying it on the side to emphasize a woman’s curves so that it would have a balance between masculinity and femininity.

Mundanity

  Hi guys! Sorry for being MIA lately. Another semester has been up and I’m already struggling with a truckload of work but I’m not here to complain about that. I’m here to share a new outfit blog post with you guys! So without further ado, press “read more” and let’s get started! 

    It was just another casual sunday morning where my family and I spent the day off together. I wore an ensemble that is perfect for (smart) casual attires. I didn’t went off for work but this outfit would be great for a lunch meeting as well. I just really value the idea of being simple and this whole #ootd represents it.

Carrot Health Soap

     Getting the best of my skin is a lot of hard work and patience. We put a lot of products in our faces that make it look dull. I personally have a lot of trouble finding a natural soap that could work for my skin type but, through this product review, i could say that my search is over. Wanna know more?

Travel Series: Day 1

     Everyone got the taste of the last hurrah before school starts. Now that mine’s starting this July, I got to spend the weekend in paradise before I grace the halls of hell (school). I’ve made a scrapbook lay-out of my trip to Palawan and I got more of these on the process. For the mean time, check my first day out!

     My family and I are travel junkies. We love to go to places that we’ve never been before. I’ve traveled the Philippines far and wide... From the North of Ilocos to the South of Davao. We haven’t visited Palawan yet and so here’s a check mark on our family’s bucket list. 

     11 am: Our flight got delayed due to air traffic. I didn’t really know that traffic also existed above us. Then It’s safe to say that we can never really get rid of traffic. 

      2 pm: Touchdown Puerto Princesa, Palawan! Our hotel was near the airport so after we got to freshen up, It’s time for the first destination!

     2:30pm: We went to the butterfly garden and got to check out the different types of butterflies found in the Philippines. They were all majestic and I got to be one too.. (lol at the 2nd pic). We also got to meet a tribe there who showed us their talents and their simple way of life. It was an amazing experience but i didn’t like the part where I have to hold a snake.. But overall I give this place a 8/10.

3:30 pm: This place actually looks like Tagaytay. It was cold there too! This house was owned by the late Louie Mitra. He had horses everywhere in this ranch and my brother got to ride one in there too. I don’t really like riding horses because they tend to be out of control sometimes but yeah. I liked this place. I like places where their is a history embarked in them so I give this place also a 8/10.

4:30pm: This was my fave place so far because we got to taste the best hopia in the Philippines and believe me they taste like heaven. They have animals found inside too but their tourist attraction is the abundant peacocks inside. I also got to taste tamilok in this place. I didn’t like the taste. It was too exotic for me but my dad and brother got to enjoy it. I give this place a 9/10.

5:30pm: We went back to the hotel to get some rest and as for me, I got to enjoy my favorite drink of all time! Can you tell what it is? lol

7:30 pm: We went to Kalui to eat our dinner! This place looks amazing it’s like eating inside a museum. Shoes weren’t allowed inside to keep the place clean. As for the food, we got to taste their unique sinigang which has a coconut milk as a base. It tasted okay but I would still prefer my sinigang sour as possible. I give this place a 7/10.

Hi Highlight

     Highlighters are used to give your beautiful face a dab of glossiness. Yes, they aren’t cheap and some are hard to find... That’s why we, creative ladies, have a way to snap out of expenses and make something of our own and turn out to be as good. Wanna see how it goes? Check this post out!

     I’ve been collecting highlighters lately whether it’s powdered or in a liquid form and I guess it’s safe to say that I’m addicted to it. I’m one of the girls who has drawn out the mantra “You can never have too much highlight”. Whoever made that statement, should be befriended. 

Anyway... I’ve been eyeing on some highlighters but they are way too expensive and I figured out to make something of my own. So, I found a way on how to make one and now I’m sharing it to you guys! 

So here are the steps on how to create your own highlighter:

1. Clean up the excess product on your used press powder container.

2. On a separate container, pick the eye shadows of your choice (It should be shimmery) I suggest that you use colors that are light and nude or you can refer to google if you want to copy a color of a preferred highlight. 

3.  Mix these colors together by adding a tick of rubbing alcohol. If the mix is getting smaller, it means that you should add more eye shadow. 

4. If you think the mix is ready to fill up the empty container, place it there.

5. Place the paper towel above the highlight to press the product down. This will help the product to flatten. 

6. Let it dry on the refrigerator for 24 hours max.

And voila! You have created your own highlighter!

     I prefer mine in a gold-ish hue that’s why it looks like this. I definitely loved the outcome and I’m on the process of creating more! How did yours go? Let me know! Clothes? Clothes. Vol 1

     Instagram online shopping has been a great trend for the shopaholics who are too lazy to go out and visit the mall. (guilty!) I wound’t actually mind spending my moolah on the stuff I browse my eyes into, on Instagram. Here are a couple of my fave online shops. Have you found yours in here too?

     Besides the cute clothing, I usually shop for accounts who present a good and clean feed. I know that it shouldn't be a factor in choosing good quality clothing but... We’ve all got our preferences right? This is a volume 1 entry which means there would be a lot more of these. Okay so first on my list is:

     I encountered this brand during a bazaar... Not sure what it is but I think it’s the SuperSale Bazaar? I saw the racks of clothing that they were offering and they were all fabulous. I actually got 3 bags of clothing from them because that’s how good it is. Their site is actually pretty. You can also get #ootd ideas from their pieces of clothing. Their new collection is adorbs but I haven’t got the chance to browse some clothing yet...soon. 

      Neon Island has unique clothes! If you wanna be different and off the trend but you still look fab, this is your shop. I bought cute swim-wears from them to bring to my Palawan escapade (Soon on the blog) Their designs are hand-painted (I guess?) I can tell because it’s got crazy unique patterns that I’m sure you’ll love! Better check them out!

     I also encountered this brand during a bazaar and I purchased clothing from them. I quite bought a lot because their items are affordable and classy at the same time. This brand is the perfect example for the affordability without sacrificing the style. They are re-branding at the moment... So we all got to stay tune to this brand because who knows what’s next? Whatever it is, I bet it’s still fabulous!

     This brand has a very neat-looking IG feed. As i have said earlier, I like accounts who present themselves with a good portfolio of their products and this account is one of them. As a creative designer, I’m very particular with this factor. They represent themselves greatly, and the clothing they sell looks classy to my eyes as well. I’ve checked their account lately and they have an on-going sale! Better check that out before time runs out!

     I instantly fell in love with this brand when I saw them on a bazaar. The color hues are very appealing to the eyes and their tops are very unique and classy too! They also sell velvet chokers, I bought 2 from them before. I loved the pieces of clothing i bought from them too! My tie-knot cropped polo and my off-shoulder top. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us in the coming days! You should follow them on IG for updates!

The Weekly Fix

     I’ve been collecting make-up lately for no reason. I just feel really happy when I get to buy one and I’m really excited to complete my collection. Well, luckily I have enough money to spare to indulge myself with more make-up. You have yours, I have mine… Wanna see? Press “Read More”

     My mom has been stressing with me lately because I’m overly obsessed with collecting make-up and then she’d tell me “Will you turn yourself into a make-up artist? This is too much” hahaha sorry mom I really wanna splurge myself on this one and I know for a fact that I’m not the only one who’s guilty with this. Anyway, here’s my make-up haul!

     I definitely love highlighters and illuminators. Of all the highlighters I have, this one is my fave. It gives off a dewy and glowy look. It makes your make-up appear more natural. I’ve been done obsessing about matte finishes. Time to change the game!!!

     This paddle brush is very useful and handy! I’m sorry I forgot where I bought it but I think most of the make-up retailers on instagram have this. This brush is very flexible. I can use it with foundation and contouring… The doesn’t get stuck up with its bristles so most of the product really goes to your face. It blends very well and it is very soft. I prefer this brush because I’m not good with brushes and their individual functions…so i choose the most flexible one.

     I got these babies for only a hundred pesos. If you’re interested to buy one of these… The shades are #5 #7 #9 #15 #17. As you can see, mostly they are all nude. For me, pink-ish shades don’t suit me as much as the dark and pale ones do. I’ve been planning to buy more of these and get the 3 shades from colourpop that I want. Well, hopefully I’m not broke by the time I need to buy these. Yes you heard me right.. NEED.

     I’m not very good at highlighting and contouring my face and ever since I bought this from @Lipcityph, It made defining my face a lot easier. Since you don’t have to use a brush and you can directly apply it to your face, your trouble with highlighting and contouring days are over. @lipcityph delivered this to me with a very nice packaging. Plus, the owner is very nice. She sells more than just this product so you guys better check them out.

Come Thru

     If you are one of my closest friends, then you’d probably know how “lit” my playlist is. For me, these kind of songs speak up more than the corny love songs. I’m not the typical kind of girl who loves Pop... I just prefer my songs in this kind. Kudos to these rappers though, because these songs are gold!

     I’ve only placed 10 songs since Youtube doesn’t have the original ones. I can’t find some songs because my playlist is “underground”. You probably know a few, but I’ve been inlove with Bas lately. He’s a new rapper, similar to J. Cole... (they are friends) But J. Cole will always be the best for me! Anyway here you go guys! I hope you’d get influenced to tune yourself up with this type of music hahaha lol

Pink Hues

     Pink has been the color for the fab and girly girls. I don’t use much pink quite often but this post will be all about  “pinkifying”  your wardrobe! The Mode

I haven’t done #ootd posts lately so here you go! I finally had some extra time off work to start on this blog post. I always go for the comfty kind of outfit so this is a rare opportunity that you’d see me wearing a dress. Then again, i’m practicing for something big but for the mean time… Check this one out!

    I’ve done this photo roll a long time ago…. like kind of December-ish. Well, you can’t bicker with me on this one, better late than never right? I’ve just added a bit of tweaks and worked magic with the designing thing. Then again, this post also serves as my portfolio for work. Sac de Beauté

     Sometimes there are days wherein we don’t usually mind going outside bare-faced but, sometimes, there are also days where you look like a potato and you can’t bear everyone to see you oily and etc. Help is on the way! (Thank you make-up!) I've got my goody bag here. What's yours?

I don’t usually wear a lot of make-up but when I do, I make sure that I would get full coverage of it. I prefer my make-up natural and less but, in some cases that I have events to go to and touch-ups should be made, It’s safe to say that I’m ready!

     These are the products that I apply on my face as a base. I usually blot my oily skin first with an oil control film or a tissue before i apply my primer (not in the picture, but I use Elf’s mineral primer)

     For my brushes, I only bring these travel-ready set of brushes for touch-ups but at home I’ve got more of these babies because they all have different purposes.

     For my eyes, i use minimal eye shadow depending on what time I’m heading out. I use my eyeliner rarely, when I have to. I never leave my house with bad brows. So I make sure that I have a brow liner and pencil in my bag. I already have twisted eyelashes, but if i want to add up a little volume I use my eyelash curler and mascara for it be emphasized.

     I have tons of lipstick at home but usually I bring these. These are my favorite shades and my lipsticks are all matte. I use my lip balm first so that my lips are moisturized. My handy lip tint makes my lips reddish. I always bring this because my lips tend to look pale most of the time.

     And there you have it! I probably missed out a few because I have tons of make-up at home. I didn’t include my contour kit, setting spray etc. because it might get too technical hahaha anyway, thank you for reading this i hope you guys liked it!

Tranquil Breeze

     This post is also a visual entry of the shots that I’ve taken on the resort during our trip. Well, i’m an amateur at photography but i’m really into it for quite some time now… I’m practicing for a collaboration and some of my posts here serve as a portfolio for work purposes, but still! Ace Your Editing

      Photo editing has become an essential element in the millennial’s daily life. As a growing creative, knowing these skills and the right programs and apps to be used for designing a layout is important. So now, I will share to you guys the apps i personally use for my blog and for my other editing endeavors.

    This blog post took a week to be done because i was feeling OC about the editing of the pictures that I used since this post is about photo editing. Ironically, i processed these said photos on Photoshop through my laptop and not from these apps. But technically, their purpose is the same thing so these apps serve as an alternative if you don’t use Photoshop.

First on my list, and in everybody else is:

1. VSCO

The customization in this app is perfection. The variety of filters present are not to be taken for granted. This app is for free but you can pay to buy the filter packs. I did, and trust me they are worth every cent. This app makes your photos stand out, giving it a professional look. Meaning to say is, the processed photo looks like it came from a high-end photographer.

2. Afterlight

This app contains filters that give off a vintage feel. It has a lot of filters and you can overlap them if you’re not contented with one. The difference of this app from VSCO is that, Afterlight has frames and light overlays that will make your photos hipster-ish. Since polaroid frames on painted backgrounds are a trend, their polaroid frames are in different varieties and designs. Afterlight is a paid app, but then again it will be worth it if you purchase everything it offers.

3. Picsart

Picsart is a great alternative for photoshop in your mobile devices. It has a number of customizations that are perfect for editing your photos. It is similar to Photoshop but it doesn’t have Photo editing jargons that are hard to understand for beginners like in Photoshop. You can also create collages and draw illustrations in this app. It is very handy!

4. Snapseed

Snapseed is a highly recommended app for everyone who would want their photos to look professional and of high-grade. Snapseed has a selection tool that is very handy if you only want some particular areas to be exposed, brightened, and added contrast. This app is useful in terms of its flexibility. Snapseed also has filters but they’re only limited unlike of VSCO’s and Afterlight’s. 

5. Magic Hour

Magic Hour is recommended for photo editing enthusiasts that are generous enough to share their filter combinations with everybody else. It consists of filters that are created by its members and these filters don’t need customization anymore because they are ready-made. It’s a paid app, but if you’re feeling kind of lazy in editing filters, this app is for you. You can easily find what filter you would want to use because it has a search box. Whether you’re feeling grungy, or clean, Magic Hour has your back.

6. Phonto

This app has one purpose only, to put text into your photos. What I love about this app is that you can store and download more fonts rather than just using their built-in fonts. It is very handy when you want to label your photos. I also use this app for adding fonts in my layouts since the number of fonts present are limitless.

7. Background Eraser

If you’re feeling lazy to open your laptop and delete backgrounds in Photoshop, use this app. (Guilty) well, you can’t blame me right? It is really a lazy duty to zoom in photos to erase unwanted features present. This app is necessary if you want to create a layer by layer kind of editing. it has a target feature that easily deletes detected backgrounds in one click.

Serene Sights (A Visual Entry)

Break From the Usual

     Finally, a break from the same mundane uniform. A college student’s blooming days start at Wednesdays and I’ve picked 5 go-to outfits for washdays that are still accepted for (strict) school policies. Here are my outfit suggestions for your free school days. Take your pick!

     These outfits are recommended for school days and will help you style yourself with limited choices. (x = shorts and sleeveless tops)

1. Soft Pastels

     This outfit is breathable and comfortable if you’re not a fan of wearing pants (me) The soft tones create a good visual of your persona without sacrificing the style and elegance.

2. The Simple Chic

     The Camel color is trendy for this season but you can only wear this sweater if your wednesdays are timely synchronized with a cold weather. The rims create a more geeky and school girl look and will make you stand-out.

3. The Basic Get-Up

     My favorite kind of clothing on casual days; This combination will help you look elegant and chic. You can either wear casual flats or your favorite sneakers to go well with this outfit.

4. The Collar Me Down

     The Collared Sweater looks great for school days. It somehow looks geeky and yet professional. You can pair it up with a pastel colored skinny jeans to show connectivity with the minimal color combination of the sweater.

5. Layered & Knitted

     The knitted cardigan paired up with a basic white crop top and a pencil tribal skirt creates an exquisite combination. Since it is in minimalistic colors, you can use a bag with loud colors to make it stand-out. I personally recommend this Marsala colored bag from Kate Spade.
