Read The Games we Play a while back on AO3 (I love it to bits, it's a fun bit of psychological manipulation, but skip chapter 2 it gets re-written).

Anyways, it made me think about demons eating people, so I got inspired I guess? And drew some fucked up shit for fun based on the AU. I'm a little nervous about posting it but eh. It''s just doodles.

"A demon has no heart, its ribs an empty cage, sing for me, my sweet canary, we'll be together an endless age."

When demons eat souls, is it like when we eat food? Everything that the soul was, all getting broken apart and re-absorbed to nourish the demon that ate it? Or it more like swallowing a bunch of rechargeable batteries, and the more a demon has eaten, the more raw energy the demon has available to them?? Maybe both, depending on what the demon wants? Can a demon 'store' a soul for later, keeping them as a trophy??

Demons in media are kinda fun to think about tbh.
