tropes/gimmicks in fanfic that i HATE

FAINTING. Yall really have low iron or something because every other fic shoves in a clumsy n lazy fainting any time they dont know how to continue or transition the scene. Fainting CANNOT be that common

immediate forgiveness for ABHORRANT shit. Jason attack on titans tower AUs im looking at you. Aint no way ANYONE is like "yeah you literally beat me to deaths door and left me to die in a pool of my own blood but that was 2 weeks ago and i suffered no long term consequences so we're good"

in that vein, character 180s with no buildup. you cant kidnap someone with the intent to murder them but when you see they have a faded bruise splashed across their pale skin you decide that you are no longer a bad guy. come ON. Have some BUILDUP, some TENSION

bad dialogue. yeah i get nobody is little miss quenting totino with the dialogue but come on guys. imagine its playing out in your head. what would YOU say.

What's up with Lance's last name? A lot of European immigrants anglicised their names when they moved to North America to aid integration and reduce the risk of discrimination against them (in New York, it was sometimes imposed on people regardless, though I'm not sure if Canada did so). I'm not sure whether it was Lance's grandparents or great-grandparents who did the move, but if it was the former, this would have been around or during World War II and if the latter, then during or around World War I.

I've heard of that, and I figured he just anglicized his name because it's a lot easier for the common folk to say Stroll than Strulovitch. I just thought it was funny that his name still shows up as Lance Strulovitch on Wikipedia lol

why are so many drivers half Belgian

like whos actually from Belgium. name one person. name one Belgian driver who drove under the Belgian flag. there are three half belgian drivers on the grid and none of them drive under the belgian flag. also apparently lance stroll's real name is lance strulovitch??? whats up with this guy
