It’s extremely telling of Minato how the children he raised in his image of adequacy still grew to resent him, even in death.

And thinking about it further, where **was** Minato through all of this? It happened pre-Naruto’s birth and while he wasn’t Hokage, so… Cough it up brother 🤨

Obito and Minato’s relationship goes past Obito just being crazy and under Madara/Zetsu’s influence.

Obito hates this man so much for perpetuating the system yet him and Kushina were the only ones to actively raise him. He was taught by Minato for over 3 years yet was still considered average as opposed to being turned into an S class nin in less than 1 year with Madara. Obito died and Minato never recovered his body. He watched Minato, the fastest ninja alive not show up when Rin died. He watched Minato make traumatized 14 year old Kakashi anbu.

Obito loved Minato so much and he kept disappointing him that he had to die for it.

hi flower friends! thinking about fashionista!kakashi who owns so many clothes he can’t wear on an everyday basis. his closet is organised like a show room closet, with a comical amount of government issued tops and bottoms in their respective places, then some formal wear just out of reach of the everyday clothes.

we can see that he had a very elaborate fashion sense as a child, but he wears only government-issued clothing during his ANBU time and post ANBU, possibly due to depression :( once he starts healing, though, i believe him to start experimenting with his fashion sense once again.

i imagine that he owns three vests and three pairs of standard shinobi sandals that are paired based on wear and tear. the first vest-sandal combination is the one he wears every day, and both the vest and shoes are in horrible condition. so much so that gai and kurenai have not only begged him to throw them away, but have attempted to do so themselves and failed miserably. the second set is simply broken in; kakashi will move onto this set once he can finally part with the first. the final set, number three, is untouched and still in the packaging.

i think kakashi also prefers modernised traditional clothing over strictly traditional or strictly modern clothes, with his favourites being summer yukata and neutral coloured hakama. his obi are always patterned and colourful, and if he doesn't make them himself, he gets them from a specialist family in kumo. he refuses to wear tabi and socks in general, but he loves his geta. each and every one of his clothing articles have pockets to conceal weapons, even post war during his hokage era.

kakashi also loves accessories like rings, necklaces, and kanzashi (has two boxes and a shelf dedicated to these) to spruce up his outfits, and he is never opposed to a little bit of makeup as well. :)

Something about how I was the same age as Naruto when I started the series and got all the music on my ipod from Naruto amvs, and now I'm almost the same age as adult Naruto and also still listen to my ipod every day

motoya feels like a third wheel, because the other two always start kissing whoever he's hanging out with.

he was on the beach with liberos - nishinoya and yaku, and these two started making out, in the end motoya decided to take a selfie where he has an awkward face or vomiting expression and the couple is kissing in the background. it's the same with sakusa and atsumu, in the end motoya just adds photos to his collection.

but it wasn't the same with sunaosa, suna and osamu just pull him over to kiss him too :)

i like to think that kuroo doesn’t have perpetual bed head but he just likes the look of bed head so he styles his hair like that every day, horrendously mind you, so he can go out looking like a fresh pile of trash.

i also like to think that on days he’s not wearing eyeliner, semi likes to put red makeup on under his eyes and right below his nose to make himself look sick, whether he is or not. he’s just a boy, ok?

Kakashi is a "scarecrow" in the sense that he is there to scare and keep the enemy away while not fully being much of a threat. He is not a human and is also placed where he is by someone else.

something else i find kind of funny about the kakashi flashback part 2 in the anime is that it like completely blows up the foundation of the entire "is kakashi a good teacher" question and renders it basically entirely worthless as a talking point. not that it wasnt before, but still. like given the situation he was in he honestly went completely above and beyond all expectations in how okay it worked out like. okay. if you took some guy whos only parent killed himself when he was 4 or 5 years old, became a chunin at the age of 6, dumped into active warfare and promoted to jonin at 12, had all three of his other teammates die within a year or two (all of whom he blames himself for in varying capacity), then put him in the secret service for assassins for a decade, and without warning pulled him out and said "hey so how about you become a genin teacher" IN WHAT WORLD WOULD THIS EVER GO WELL.?

literally all of the positive adult figures who were actively present in his life died by the time he was thirteen. he was not given the luxury of a childhood in any sense at all and any of the children he has interacted with have been in the secret service for assassins. not to even mention that sasuke and naruto come with an insane amount of baggage on their own, NOT TO EVEN MENTION THAT THEY COME WITH AN INSANE AMOUNT OF BAGGAGE FOR KAKASHI SPECIFICALLY.?!

like as a solid rule you basically never want to be in a class where the teacher is teaching it for the first time because chances are your teacher isnt going to have the faintest clue what he's doing, and this is like with your average college class. god forbid whatever in the world is going on with konoha where they just pick whoever in the world they want to be jonin teachers regardless of qualifications or aptitude or current mental state. like in a vacuum if you look at kakashis teaching methods without any context at all he's certainly far from perfect, but like comparing him to literally any of the other jonin teachers is actually a joke because his life experiences are so vastly different from them that it makes absolutely no sense in any capacity whatsoever. YOU GUYS ARE STUPID ? Why is this even a discussion people think is worth arguing over.

like im certain so many people hate him in part for the scene where hes arguing for team 7 to be allowed to participate in the chunin exams and understandably iruka is like "tjheyre literally twelve what are you talking about" and kakashi responds that he made it to chunin by 6 and that they're soldiers under his command so it really doesnt matter what iruka thinks. its kind of a lot when you're watching for the first time because you have absolutely no context for where kakashi is coming from on this front and of COURSE he's wrong and of COURSE iruka is correct but iruka and kakashi have had a very very VERY different life and are not coming at this discussion from the same ground even a little bit.

of course kakashi thinks this is perfectly fine this is LEAGUES better than what his childhood was like and he thinks they're good enough to pass it so why would he hold them back when he knows what theyre capable of. again of course hes wrong of course this is a horrible thing to do but he has literally no reason to believe that because hes literally been completely indoctrinated in the konoha war machine basically since birth with no actual opportunity to look at it from any sort of outsider or objective perspective. no of course kakashi isnt worlds greatest teacher. why in the world should he be
