tell me something to ease my fright
clock still ticks but i felt a sudden stop
a lifetime of waiting but ended up wondering
the moment was stolen
bagged by the thieves unseen

“You used to greet me with warm smile, how did you become so uninviting?” he mouthed but all he got was a cold stare. He felt like her eyes brought a sudden stop to the noise around them. Unbothered, she stretched up her arms and reached another bottle of beer. Silence after silence, anxiously waiting, he then got her response, “We all once possessed a beautiful soul but time has slowly ripped it out of us” and she lit a cigarette on her finger.

And he went back to meet the fox.
"Goodbye," he said.
"Goodbye," said the fox. "And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

pull out
every poem
i’ve
ever written
about
you
&
they’ll all
have the
same
underlying
message
written
a thousand
different
ways:
i was
never ever
supposed to
crave you
the way
i did,
but
i did.
