Halloween Writing Challenge! (Elementary and Middle School prompts) ☠️

1. Write about going to a pumpkin patch through the eyes of a 5 year old

2. Pretend you are a jack-o-lantern on the front porch. Describe what halloween looks like to you.

3. Now that you are too old to trick or treat, write about what you do to celebrate Halloween instead

4. Write a story about an old, abandoned house that is haunted

5. Write a story about a friendly ghost you meet walking home one night

6. Make a list of things you can give out to children on Halloween that isn’t candy

7. Write a Halloween poem

8. Write about the best costumes you’ve seen this year

9. Make a list of tips to hand out to trick or treaters along with candy. (Safety tips, advice, etc)

10. Describe the scenery of your neighborhood now that it’s fall. What do the decorations look like?

United Writers Meetup is a place for writers of all walks to come together and talk about their passion, writing. Founded on the ProfoundBond Discord server, it’s been really fun and rewarding to connect with so many writers, and we’re looking forward to meeting new people!

Fic writers, original story writers, and writers of all fandoms are welcome to join. Participants must be 18 years or older due to the inevitable raunchy nature of the conversations.

Meetings are held via chat on Discord. The running schedule will be the first Friday of every month unless otherwise announced. You are not required to speak during the chats (there will be a text channel for everyone to chat in), but you do need to be able to hear the host speaking, so headphones are strongly recommended. A Discord account is not necessary to join. Just click the link and a browser will pop up.
