Well.... As i told earlier i don't have any artist education or something like that. And when I draw, I don't analyze the drawing at all. I don't know how to put it correctly. But when I look at other artists, I see that they know how to use space in a drawing correctly, how to compose everything correctly, color and other. but when I start drawing I don’t even know where it’s best to place the character so that it looks beautiful, DO NOT mention perspective(ITS MY FEAR). So you can see here my final version.

So HERE you can see how many times I tried to figure out how to put them together. At first I thought to draw only two papyrus, but I realized that I CANNOT place them nicely. I looked for tutorials where I could find an answer to my problem, but I didn't find one. It was easier for me to add a third character.

At first it has to be something like flying head. But I couldn't place this in a way that would be nice for me to look at. So i drew this...

And i thought it would be end of my struggling. But no. COLORING

This is my nightmare. I thought about making everything black and white. BUT I wanted to draw something like a poster, so naturally I had to put the title of comic somewhere.

And I did it somehow like this, to be honest, it seemed to me that it looks nice, you just need to cut the canvas somewhere. So i started colouring. I really don't like it, so i just wanted to make everything simply. And during colouring i decided that i need more text there. So replaced everything again😭

But then i remembered that THE ADULT PAPYRUS MUST BE THE MAIN ONE. Aaaand i started to move every one...

Soooooo

This is how I made it.

I know I make a lot of mistakes in my drawings and I'm ashamed that many people my age draw much better. But i cannot do anything with it.

But I'm trying....

God, I love little papyrus so much!!!

The way @wily-art drew him makes me cry with happiness.

After watching the trailer I can't shake the feeling that he clearly has anxiety issues.On the one hand it's a pity, but it adds incredible emotions and expectations to the plot. What could have made him change so much? (Sorry for mistakes)

I was asked by a friend yesterday if I could offer basic tips about comic paneling. As it turns out, I have a lot to say on the matter! I tried breaking down the art of paneling using the principles of art and design, and I hope it helps you out!

EDIT: uh uh there are a lot of people reblogging this, so i figure i may as well append this now while i can lol

This whole thing was very much cranked out in a few hours so I had a visual to talk about with a friend! If this gives you a base understanding of paneling, that's awesome! Continue to pull in studies from the comics you see and what other artists do well and don't do well! You can tell paneling is doing well when the action is flowing around in its intended reading format.

Here's the link to the globalcomix article from which I pulled the images about panel staggering! Someone sent in a reblog that it wasn't totally clear that the 7th slide mostly covers what NOT to do in regards to staggering, and that is my mistake!

I saw in a tag that someone was surprised I used MamaYuyu too, and I don't blame them lol. If I had given myself more than a couple hours maybe I would have added something else on, I just really admire MamaYuyu's paneling personally.

uh uh, final append: I am by no means a renowned master of paneling, so if you find anything off base here, by all means, counter it with your own knowledge and ways you can build upon from here! Art is always a sum knowledge of everything we find. 💪
