"I did not like to be touched, but it was a strange dislike. I did not like to be touched because I craved it too much. I wanted to be held very tight so I would not break."

âGeez you feel so cold. Let me warm you up.â â @ Nemo from Salem~
Nemo couldn't get used to the fact it gets so cold in the evenings already, and she dressed for a warm, early autumn day. Still, she could easily warm herself up with Solar but who could pass on an offer like this?
"I'm not goin' to say no to that." Nemo chuckled, happily wrapping her arm around Salem's waist and leaning more against him. Taking a walk wasn't her favorite past-time but it was pretty good in his company. Certainly calmer than what she got up to with other Hunters...

âCome snuggle with me!â
âI bought the biggest blanket I could find so now we donât have to worry about stealing blankets from each other!â
âGeez you feel so cold. Let me warm you up.â
âPillow fight!â
âItâs too early to get up. Letâs stay a little longer.â
âAnd just like that, when Iâm all comfortable, my bladder makes its presence known.â
âYou need a break from all that work. Come lay down.â
âYou know you talk in your sleep?â
âNo, stay where you are. Iâll bring you some coffee.â
âDonât think I donât notice you yawning. I think itâs time for some rest.â
âHey, I get it. It takes me a while to fall asleep too.â
âYou must have been tired. You fell asleep as soon as your head hit the pillow.â
âSweet dreams, love.â
âIâm so glad youâre back home. I missed having you next to me at night.â
âDo you think counting sheep together will help us fall asleep?â
âYou always have the most peaceful look on your face when you sleep.â
âYou fell asleep right on my shoulder. Haha, no, no donât feel bad. I thought it was rather cute.â
âYou looked too comfortable to wake up.â

âThis development is anything but ideal.â â Chauncey @ anything Nemo and Salem are doing XP
"Oh, stop it!" Nemo whispered, waving a hand at the Ghost to chase him away. "You're gonna give us away."
Maybe messing with Guardians bigger than them wasn't the smartest of ideas but who knew they would get so pissed. Sure, the two of them were now stuck in a very narrow spot with barely any space to move, but Nemo preferred to call it a bonding experience rather than a prank gone wrong.
"Just... keep quiet for a bit. They will stop looking eventually."

đđđđđđđ đđđđđđđđ đđđđđđđđ (a collection of general sentences to fit various settings. Feel free to adjust phrasing and gendered terms as necessary)

âHurry up! Weâre going to be late!â
âHow can you be so smart but also so very stupid?â
âIâve been looking forward to seeing you.â
âYouâre funny when youâre angry.â
âYouâre far too nosy for your own good.â
âAre you sure that you can do this?â
âLetâs just order a pizza.â
âHonestly, I just want to go to bed.â
âYou can talk to me, you know.â
âAre you seriously going to wear that?â
âYouâre a liar.â
âDonât worry, Iâve done this before.â
âI havenât touched it!â
âLooks like weâre in for another long night.â
âOkay, youâve definitely had enough to drink for one night.â
âDo you ever think about us?â
âWhat should we do now?â
âWould you like to have dinner with me tonight?â
âOh, have some faith for once!â
âYou know weâre going the wrong way, right?â
âLetâs not start the day like this.â
âYou know, the Earth revolves around the sun, not around you.â
âYou call that music?â
âSorry, I missed that. Could you repeat what you just said?â
âThis development is anything but ideal.â
âYou look absolutely stunning.â
âI got this.â
âI swear, one day Iâm going to snap.â
âWhy are you like this?â
âIs everything ok?â
âWhatâs your problem?â
âYou canât be here.â
âThank you for everything.â
âAre you serious?â

The Oracle nodded firmly, lifting Zorya carefully.
âHide in my pack⌠Iâll get you two to my tent. Itâs heated.â
He rose from the ground, giving a firm nod and cleanup orders to his men before vanishing into his tent, making room and carefully laying Zorya down in a camping chair.
Once theyâre inside, Sviat expands his shell with an imitation of a sigh of relief. He hasnât been in the warm for a while, just like Zorya hasnât. He scans her quickly, then transmats a small key to Oracle - Ghosts can pickpocket too, it seems.
âGet the chains off and bring her a blanket. Sheâs hypothermic, no Light will change that.â
Then, Sviat begins the slow process of bringing his Lightbearer back to life - so much time spent in the cage didnât do him any favors. Plus, he wants her to warm up more before she wakes up.

Oracle couldnât help the small frown, still carefully cradling Zoryas broken form.
âI⌠I know. I thought about it, but⌠A lot has changed, little one. Iâm not about to put things back to how they were, either but⌠I couldnât just abandon her.â
There would be questions, certainly. Concerncs too. But they could wait.
Sviat floats a bit away from Oracle, still hidden from view of the others'. He takes a glance at Zorya - all bloodied, bruised, thinner...
"I'm glad you didn't."
The Ghost looks back at Oracle, shaking his shell.
"We should find a better spot for me to bring her back. Out of the cold."

He couldnât help but wince in sympathy, gently pressing against her side and leaning closer, running a hand through her hair.
âItâs alright⌠Just⌠Take it easy⌠Weâll get you cleaned up, and put back together once we find Sviat, butâŚâ
He didnât finish, content to cradle her there in the snow.
Oracleâs familiar touch makes it easier to pass, especially after so long of nothing else but harsh treatment. The pain stops finally, the last breath leaves her lungs, and her eyes glaze over.
The Ghost feels this in their Light, his shell shuddering a bit. Itâs never a pleasant thing. But it makes him float up to Oracle finally and he presses his shell against the manâs chest.
âI hoped you will leave...â Sviat grumbles as is his custom, though the relief is almost palpable around him.

The Oracle stormed forward, emptying the rest of his magazine into her. Sheâd proven durable *and* slimy in the past. There was no way he was risking another getaway.
Once she was gone, howeverâŚ
He dropped down like a stone, kneeling next to Zorya and carefully reaching forward to cradle her head.
Zoryaâs breath is shallow, ragged, wheezing, and she coughs up blood violently when she tries to speak.Â
Itâs cold. So very cold.
Sviat finally wiggles out from the cage and immediately flies over to hide between the Warlock and the Warlord, out of sight. He knows itâs going to be far easier if she dies than if he tries to heal her.
She smiles faintly, muttering something, blood bubbling on her lips - the blood loss scrambled her thoughts, words donât line up into anything coherent anymore. She tries to reach his face with her bound hands but itâs too much effort.

The distraction is enough, The Oracle hopes.
Immediately he raised his sidearm, firing three shots. Hoping to catch her torso enough to knock her over, at least.
But he doesnât wait to see, leaping forward in a glide to bring his light to bare once again.
Her body jolts with each bullet and she stumbles a step, then collapses, wheezing and moaning in pain. That's not how she wanted it to go...
The cage falls to the ground, something cracking in it, and Zorya can feel her Light back. It doesn't stop the life seeping out of her though, and Sviat doesn't dare move just yet to help her.

The Oracle froze, hovering a few feet away, his own sidearm level with her head.
âAlright. Iâm stopping.â
He swallowed, one hand going behind his back as he slowly lowered his gun. Hopefully *one* of his men would catch the hint and fire. But until then, she had him at the disadvantage.
âLet me leave. I will let the Ghost go when Iâm safe.â The woman demands, making a step back where the line of trees starts.Â
The Warlord, with her last strength, rolls to her side and crawls towards the other to try and trip her.
âOh, die already.â She scoffs, kicking Zorya. The Hunter whimpers and lets go, too dazed by the rapid loss of blood and oxygen to try again.

Feeling the solar light fade out from the exo, The Oracle took a breath and let the trance fade, coming down to try and get a grip on his surroundings, and finally spotting the skirmish beyond him.
With a growl, he drew his own sidearm and sprinted forward, hoping to get an angle on the woman stabbing Zorya.
A bullet reaches the woman faster than Oracle can take aim and she grips at her shoulder, swaying to the side. But the knife hit the mark nonetheless, penetrating the lung, and leaving Zorya gasping for air.
Another bullet wheezes past Sviatâs cage on the womanâs belt, which brings her attention from her own injury to the Ghost. She pushes herself up to her feet and holds the cage up, her other hand bringing a sidearm to itâs side.
âDonât come any closer!â She shouts to Oracle, trying to save her own skin while her men are either dead, dying, or surrendering.

A side effect of the trance was a loss of the finer details around him. Oracle couldnât sense where his target had gone, only that sheâd vanished into the background noise.
The tug of the exos circuits catching his arc pulled his attention to his pursuer, spinning on the spot to dart forward and bring down the lightning on the solar flare instead.
Zorya and the other woman struggle to get an upper hand on each other, and the Hunter really hopes someone comes to help her. Without her Light and with the injuries she can't hold the other down for long.
The situation turns sour even quicker when the woman finds the injury with her elbow and it stuns Zorya enough so the other can twist out of the hold. A stray bullet isn't fast enough to stop the leader from sinking a knife in the Warlord's chest.
The Exo isn't much of an opponent to Oracle - he had underestimated the Warlock. They all did, what the past months showed clearly. Now, when his sensors come back online, it's quite too late for him to react. His Light fades out when the Arc hits him, his legs giving out underneath him.

The Oracle trusted his own men to hold. It may not be pretty at the end of things, but they would not go quietly.
He could feel the rising solar heat behind him, lifting gently off the ground and advancing on the leader while he could, letting the trance flow as deadly strikes of Arc flowed out from his fingers towards his target.
Zorya manages to shake off the haze of hypothermia, shock, and the recent treatment, and scrambles back up to her feet. She looks around, still more than a bit confused -Â in all the heat of battle, no one really pays attention to her.
Both the Exo and the leader of the group have their backs to her, and she hesitates for a moment - itâs either helping Oracle or his men. The Hunter figures he has a better chance against another Lightbearer than the others and so she runs towards the woman. Maybe she can even free Sviat from the suppression cage if sheâs lucky.
With the little strength she has, she uses the binding on her wrists as a garrote. The two of them slip on the snow, but even though Zoryaâs vision blurs from the pain, she doesnât let go.
Meanwhile, the Exo tries to avoid the lightning and has much more luck than the Humans around him. He doesnât get out unscathed though, electricity seizing his circuits even through proximity. It makes him hesitate and itâs enough that the next lightning hits, making his circuits go crazy, disabling his motion and vision for a moment.

@fireteam-silent from here
Drifter isn't really surprised with Khalom being so angry. He knew it's in her somewhere, this fire. It just needed a good reason to show, even if he doesn't agree with it being so agreviating. He doesn't approve of what that Guardian did but that's how things are.
Maybe it's the baggage of years that makes him look at it differently, or maybe it's a growing resignation that things can change - Eliksni and Humans will always somehow be at each other's throats, no matter all the good gestures. There will always be someone with a grudge, someone who carries the same belief further than the Rouge would.
He finally stops the Awoken, hoping that despite his attitude he can offer some comfort. Even if it's in his usual style. "Take a breath, 'kay? You're all read in the face. Weird for a space elf." He smiles, though without the usual sharpness - it's a gentle smile, and he strokes Kahlom's cheek a bit.
"You helped them, they're fine, all is well. Yeah?" He moves his hand away and tucks both in his pockets, this time the smile growing into a smirk. "If ya want, we can track that guy down, play cat and mouse with him."
