Another top 3 question for you! Top 3 moments where Jay is worried about Hailey. And…go!

This one was super hard because all of the moments that they are worried about each other are so compelling in different ways, so I cheated just a bit because I couldn’t choose. I would apologize, but I have a feeling there won’t be any complaints for a little extra worried Jay.

1. Worried Partner | 5x06: this was the first worried Jay moment, so it holds a very special place on this top 3 list. They hadn’t been partners for very long, but he reciprocated just a small amount of concern she had shown for him in the brief amount of time they had been paired up together. The shoulder touch is also the first of many, and you can tell by the look on his face how unconvinced he is of just how “okay” she is. Such a simple scene, but so significant in the grand scheme of things.

2. “Yeah, that’s not gonna happen” | 5x18: if I could include this whole episode in my answer, I would. This entire episode served some of the absolute best worried Jay moments, establishing the foundation for what became one of the strongest and most beautiful friendship to lovers ships on tv. His insistence on staying, knowing it was what she really needed despite what her words were telling him will never not make my heart melt. He was so worried about her, and even though having someone worry and care about her in that way wasn’t something she was used to, she let him because it was Jay and she trusted him.

3. Worried Husband | 9x13: this scene gives me the absolute chills. It is so haunting but SO GOOD. Everyone else’s eyes are on the screen, but his eyes are on her and his face says it all. He knows exactly where her mind is going. That moment or realization was destroying her, and I imagine knowing that was destroying him in a completely different way.

Bonus | 6x14: THIS. ONE. I couldn’t find a gif of this one, so you get the full clip in all of its glory. The way he stands when he sees her, then he can’t bring himself to even look at her?? Stab me in the heart. It would hurt less.
